  1. Wow, 700 a month for a place in Pete's neighborhood? I realize that every city is different, but 700 a month can get me a 2 bedroom in Scottsdale, AZ.I liked how Pete finally gave in at the end. Yes, he is a proud man, and likes to stand on his own two feet. But there's no shame in accepting a bit of help now and again. If there's one thing Jason is NOT, it's a "fair weather" friend (or boyfriend).
  2. I guess it would be the day I hit on my second boyfriend Brian. Had I known what would happen in the future, I never would have done it (seeing as how the relationship turned into a disaster). With my other two boyfriends, they made the first move. Hmmmm, once a sub, always a sub, seems to be my flavor of the day.
  3. I see that it will be released on DVD on March 1st. Cher's singing just doesn't interest me, but I see that hottie Cam Gigandet (from The O.C.) is also in it. That fact alone will get me to view it.
  4. Going into speculation mode here. I've been watching L&O since junior high, so if Jordan and his idiot minions do bond out, you have to wonder if they will come after Peter (to try to eliminate a witness).Interesting in how the Detective told Jason "you like him (Peter) a lot, don't you?" Ummmm, they love each other. A slight touch of homophobia, perhaps?
  5. I care more about the new episode of Glee which will follow the game.
  6. Interesting range of emotions in this chapter. Pete's cathartic speech made me cry again (as usual), then we get to some crime drama stuff with the 2nd appearance of the Detective. I don't quite trust him just yet; I wonder if he has some hidden agenda? That thing about the subpoena sounds like a total Jack McCoy move.
  7. Ummmmm, his name is Aaron Keslin, and you do realize that he's gay right? He had a thing for Rory. My date would be with Jason Tellerman from Second Shot. Blond hair and uses hair gel. My kinda guy.
  8. Saw half of the first Harry Potter movie (on HBO) and was bored to tears. So that was the end of that series. And not even a shirtless Taylor Lautner is going to get me to watch any of the Twilight movies. So I guess my vote is "none of the above".
  9. Degrassi The Next Generation, the current season. Hey, you've got two gay characters (Riley and Zane) and a transgender character (Adam / Gracie). What more can I ask for?
  10. Okay, this is just too weird, seeing as how R.E.M. is one of my favorite bands as well. Time to cue up the Twilight Zone music.I cried during this chapter, but they were tears of joy this time. Damn, I can't believe this story is affecting me as much as it is. Must be a good one, huh?
  11. I told my mom when I was 15. I had just gotten my hair cut like one of the TV boys I liked at the time (Reese from Malcolm's show). So I figured I needed a valid reason to tell her why I suddenly changed my look. It actually went very well. One thing in my favor is that since she was divorced, I figured she would not risk losing two men in her life. Yeah, I know that's a crappy reason, but kids of divorced parents play them against each other all the time. After years of sneaking around, I finally told my dad last year. Again, that went better then I had thought I would go. The details of that coming out experience are in my blog. Grrrrrr, I won't even allow myself to be around people like that. I'm already "right with God". I believe he made me gay for a reason; so why should I go against what He wants? I actually enjoy being gay; it's liberating.
  12. A bow tie? Me? Surely you must be joking! Trev only wears regular ties.
  13. I saw some of this nonsense on CNN International this morning. Thank God I live in the United States.
  14. "I was more worried about my car and money than what it would do to him." He felt a stupid, rueful smile creep across his face. "Can you image anything more pathetic than that? Can you?"Wow, it's painful to watch Jason beat himself up in this way, but it's totally realistic.
  15. This story is making me think about how I would react if my own BF was in the hospital in a similar situation. Would I go after Jordan Colmar and try to seek revenge?
  16. For some reason, this chapter makes me think of one of my all time favorite songs (Since You've Been Gone, by The Outfield). it's an 80's tune, and I assume 2nd Shot is set in present day, but it just seems to fit.
  17. Sorry Jay, I just can't agree with you on that one. I worked at a sandwich restaurant (not Subway, thank God) for two years and got hired on the spot, with no college degree, just a high school diploma. And in my second year, I had worked my way up to shift leader. It was my people skills that got me there, not a silly piece of paper.
  18. Wow, just wow. It probably took me two hours just to get through this chapter. It's kind of hard to read words on the screen through teary eyes.
  19. OMG @ ex-gay classes. Never went to one, but Curti and TJ have filled me in on what they are all about. Is Mrs. Tellerman totally clueless or what? Is she still living in the 50's? There's nothing "deviant" about two 20 yr olds shacking up in this day and age. Someone needs to smack her upside the head.
  20. Another amazing chapter. Loved the dialog between Jason and Jordan, it was pure catharsis at its best. When my ex-BF (Brian) tried to apologize to me for his wrong-doings, I also told him to hit the road.
  21. "Peter always spoke well of his mom, but seeing them together made him smile. Instinctively, his thoughts turned to his mother, killing his good mood. Sadness and a touch of envy colored his thoughts as he realized this bond was something he and his mom would never share again." Amazingly, I did not cry at this part. Although, my heart does ache for Jason. My own mom and I have a great relationship, and she thinks very highly of Curt.
  22. Loved Mrs. Tellerman's reaction. It was exactly how I thought she would feel. And this is why my BF is still in the closet; his mom is a total Barbara clone. She's a wonderful person, but we don't think she would be very happy if she found out her son is doing a guy instead of a girl.
  23. This chapter actually brought tears to my eyes. When Jason outted himself to the Coach, you could tell it was one of the hardest things he had ever done in his life. But it was Darryl's speech to the rest of the team that got to me. Since he's African American, he knows all about predjudice, discrimination, etc. The way he explained how he had Jason's back was spot on.
  24. Michele: "She didn’t say anything for almost thirty-seconds. “If it helps, I think I know and I won’t say anything to Meredith or anyone else.” At this point in the story, I knew right away that Michele knew. So Jason's confirmation later in the chapter came as no surprise to me. I wonder if women have a 6th sense about these things? When I came out to my brother and my father, neither one of them had the slightest clue that I was gay.
  25. Wow, best chapter yet so far. I'm a sucker for any kind of angst in a relationship in gay fiction. And I went through the exact same thing with Curt, as his family is more affluent than mine. He used to buy me expensive gifts, until I finally told him I would still love him even if all he got me was a hamburger from McDonalds!
