  1. Being a dirty rotten bastard, I was going to say I'd post the Epilogue only if I got 29 more reviews to Second Shot - thus getting me to an even 500, or maybe if everyone who was reading started to read Purpose and left me comments, or then there is my ultimate pet peeve - Some how I have many people who follow me as author, many people who read, review and give me 'likes' for the stuff I write, but some how I'm one of the only Promising Authors with a 4 star rating - so I thought I'd hold this hostage until people went to my profile and upped my 'star rating' Then I realized it was the lack of sleep last night - I got maybe two hours, and not because of the baby either, I just couldn't sleep. Mike was happy however as I took his 4 am baby detail, hell I was up, why wake him. With that said, I'm now sipping my coffee having eaten and I realized, I don't want to wait to click the 'complete' button on this story and by extension Second Shot. Soo, here it is: Epilogue And for you who rightfully blasted me for the 'epilogue' in Second Shot - I promise This is a true epilogue. Enjoy and this time I really would like to hear comments from everyone, since this ends the Second Shot story line. Thanks Andy
  2. Jason Jason stared at Jordan's back. If looks could kill, his would have burned his one-time friend to a crisp. He knew what Peter was about to say, agreed with it even, but wondered if Jordan would even listen. Probably not. He felt pressure on his hand and smiled before he turned to face Peter. It was about to be over. Almost a year to the day, Jordan was going to get what he deserved; hopefully. Mr. Hember certainly thought the judge would give Jordan a lengthy sentence. "You ok

    Chapter 24

Uff, that chapter gives new meaning to the term 'pillow talk'. Seems Caroline is far far more accomplished than even the Earl believed. One does wonder if the Earl wasn't a bit concerned about what Caroline might do if he were to really piss her off. I bet after that meeting, he won't be eager to cross her. He'd have to wonder what he has on him. As for George, he gets a romping good time with Sir Phillip, but then finds out that his ship is being staffed, yet again, by his wife. Although this time she isn't snatching his lovers away. One question, what about poor Gaitling? Now with Sir Phillip on board, George doesn't need Gaitling's cute little tail for the foreseeable future. And with Roberts gone, who's gonna take care of the young Midshipman? Maybe George should hope he loses the bet, that way Nelson isn't around to interfere with his sexcapades
  6. God I hate being old. I was like WTF was that crap.
  7. Great! Way to put the pressure on me. If it sucks y'all are gonna be disappointed for having waited with bated breathe.
  8. Cute Chapter, Not like any shrink I've ever met - err not that I've met any professionally, but still
  9. That was a weird ending, even for you
  10. Sorry but count me in the Travis is a jerk category. He's every bit as bad as Derek. Maybe more so because he's getting a free pass for his behavior from people like Sloan. Travis in his own way is worse than Derek because he is controlling Charlie for his own reasons. He doesn't like Derek, never has, and now he has a reason to separate the two. Sloan, who is an even bigger jerk who ought to be worried for his own job. He he threatened my kid like that and I worked for the school, I think he'd be slapped with a restraining order so fast his head would spin. As for Derek, yes, he is still clueless. Just because he wanted to apologize in his way at his time, he clearly doesn't see that others don't have to go along with it. Uff, quite a lot going on in that chapter for sure.
  11. There is certainly more to Mikee than we were led to believe earlier - or perhaps not. But, outside of Charlie, he is their best friend. Even if there doesn't realize it. Who knows, maybe he'll learn a few things from Mikee. One certainly can hope
  12. Return of the King? Hardly. Derek is back and once again seems unable to see the truth. He is no longer the king. Maybe the Jester perhaps but there doesn't seem to be a lot of support for Derek among anyone. Ah well, it is so hard to be liked when you lack any humility.
  13. first let me say that in reading your responses to other reviews you lot. The story is not going to end in 10 chapters from now hell the next part barely in 10 chapters from now. Okay, being serious for a moment, for someone who thinks he's so smart, so observant, so perfect, Derek is an idiot of the highest order. First he couldn't see the trolley was gay, a blind man could 'see' Charlie was gay. then, Derek can see that Luke isn't doing the things for their own good. Hopefully, Derek doesn't fall for Luke's shit. somehow, I think he will.
  14. WTF Funny!
  15. Just a little update. The epilogue is finished, reviewed, and edited. In short, it is ready to be posted. It will, be posted as scheduled this Sunday. This ended up being quite a bit longer than I expected, I thought I could do it in four chapters, it took eight. oh well, it took what it took and I don't keel it was too long. I'm not quite sure how I feel about that, as it will finally put an end to the story of Peter and Jason. Not to say that there will be more, but I think this one will always be special to me because it was my first. So, this is everyone's last chance to make comments before it's posted.
  16. Not sure how I missed this, but I don't expect baby Q. is going to mail me much, not until she stops being fussy. As for screenplay, I don't know. I wouldn't mind working on one, but I know they're not the same as novels. Anyway, thanks as always for the comments. And yes, if I ever decide to change professions I probably would be better off having a 20 year blank in my resume than letting everyone know I was a lawyer.
  17. Dave, Remember what we'll saw last time he read Ryan's mind; he saw David's killers. That told him, all of David's memories are there. Imagine how hard it would be not to look to be sure that David loved him as much as he loved David. So yeah, while it might be frustrating, I don't think that Wlll's position is really that unusual. As for next week, chapter 24 should be posted as scheduled on Thursday. Or, maybe a day earlier as Thursday is Thanksgiving.
  18. Mrs. C. certainly didn't pull any punches, I don't know if it's just me, but it seems almost impossible for Derek to have had this kind of reaction and neither of the mothers could have predicted it. If, as it has been hinted, Derek's father is a bigoted asshole, that should have been clear to Mrs. C., and she would have been on the alert for similar behaviors in Derek. I say this, because clearly seeing how about Charlie's sexuality, and she is, as witnessed by this chapter, fiercely protective of her son. In either case, Derek really stepped in it this time.
  19. Two points here, one I think it would have been better for the story if you had given us more background on Derek's father. Until now, all we had is his mothers interaction, and clearly characterize quite a bit of his personality, or at least his homophobia, from his father. Having not seen the father throughout the entire story, Derek's behavior is somewhat out of character. The second point, is go Mrs. C!
  20. Derek's reaction, while not a total shock was still somewhat out of character. Charlie was more than just his friend, Charlie was the brother he never had. When you love someone like that, the shock of something it's been kept from you and make you do crazy stuff. But then his comments to the principal, reveal his true stripes. Now it's clear what Luke's motivation is in all this, he wants Derek gone. What better way to achieve his purposes, then having Derek get himself expelled. Very interesting, well done.
  21. I read this a while ago, but never got around to writing my review. It seems that everyone but Derek knows what's up with Charlie and Travis. Interestingly enough, everyone is trying to hide it from Derek. I am not quite sure what Luke's angle is in all this, but seriously it can't be good. I don't see this ending well for Charlie.
  22. Missed that you were an author on the other topic. Good for you. If you have questions ask someone, or you can ask for help on the Writer's Corner Forum. You can ask for a Beta Reader or Editor and GA will help find you someone(s) to help. Welcome again.
  23. Yup. Yeah- so/so on the face but mmhmm on the body. No, looks like a cave man or something. She can have him. Totally!
  24. Why does every topic degenerate into Marky's dirty mind?
