Wow, so where to start? Well, I got an email from my little brother who went off to college today. It made me smile, alot! Here is an excerpt: Hey there brother. Hello there sister. Just thought I'd drop in and say hello. Plus, I thought I'd give you an update on my schooling. I don't have very many set grades yet but I just got my first math test back (we took it yesterday) and it had 7 questions worth 10 points each (with different values for the different parts of the question). I got a 68 out of 70. Also, I have turned in all my homework assignments and only one fo them was somewhat incomplete. I still got 3/10 on it though and all of my other homeworks are 7, 8, 9, or 10's. He gave us a course grade but it is not "damning," he just took 25% of our homework and 75% of our test and made a grade. He said I would have an A+ right now with everything I've done. I also got back my first CORE assignment regarding the age of the universe and the mass of the black hole at the center of our galaxy. He actually used my homework in the answer key he handed out to explain the right answer and when I got mine back it said "Solid!" on it... I assume that was full credit as well. I just wrote an essay for that class and I have another quantitative assignment due Wednesday. Writing has been fairly simple as all we have had to turn in so far was a rough draft for an essay. My computer science engineering class is by far my favorite, although it is difficult at times to grasp either the logic of the code or simply the syntax. We are programming in Java and it's a "strongly-typed" language. Whatever that means... I just thought you might be curious to know I'm kicking ass and not looking back. Ok, so I saw my friend at work yesterday that I never see cause we always work opposite shifts, and he already has his eyebrowand lip pieced plus the whole earlobe stretching thing going on, about the size of dimes now... and then he says goy 6 more piercings!! on his stomach area. So I tell him I need to see NOW! So he unties his coat (he works behind the meat counter) and lifts up his shirt to reveal the piercings. They are 3 on each side of his rib cage angled diadonnally downward toward his belly button. So they look like silver metal balls with a clear plastic 'stick' between them that runs under his skin... the top one being like about 1 1/2" long the next a little longer and the third like 3" long... it looks pretty cool, and if you were muscularly toned I will say, I think it would really accentuate a nicely defined 6-pack... but he is kind of slim... but it still looks cool, I have to admit I was worried when he said SIX MORE!! I have been pierced 6 times, all in my ears only 4 holes though, and I only wear one set of earings now cause my honey bought me some REALLY nice diamond earings for my birthday/ mothers' day/ anniversary since they are all right around the same time, and they are too big to wear another set of earrings with them. OH, but my friend (girl) got her nipples pierced and then the guys all started calling her 'Nips'... hmmmmm. Viv

Dave!! First of all, I think you should know that as I am typing this, I am wearing my 'I hate Chris' Mum' t-shirt... Oh, and this is bugging pants!! I say money can't buy happiness, so if money is all she wants, then give it to her, but then that is all she will ever get from him because he should refuse to be involved in a relationship with someone who is so unbelievably selfish. That said, I think that the two of you can make this work without his pride being hurt... partners are partners no matter who earns the money or where it comes from and if this is what the two of you want, and I know it is, do it together and screw the money part of it... Money is one of the most argued about things in a relationship, so I say don't let the money be the important issue, let the life that you two are trying to build be the focus and however you get there, at least you got there together...
