That is indeed the second floor, I'll add that to the floorplan. Good catch! And yes, the ground floor will be seen in another chapter. Ah, movies Vs. books. An impossible task, because in books, you can take a few pages to describe a single thing or thought. It doesn't transfer well to TV or movies. That'd be a dull watch, taking five minutes to look at a plant. What a waste of film that'd be. 🤣 ** Edit** First floor. **Edit** Second floor again.

This is kind of a hoot, seeing you respond to comments from 12 years ago. 😂 God, I hate dislike this story...there's so much wrong with it. I know I said somewhere I wouldn't rewrite it, but gawd, it needs a rewrite. Bad. Then again, so does Confounded Part 1.

Yeah, they're both a bit 'out of place', right? I like them. Well, I always have to like my characters or I can't write about them in a certain way. I don't always have to like them, it could be a baddy, and I can live vicariously through him/her with relish. 😅 Like Adam, he also has empathy. He's a pretty emotional guy. Thank you! 🙏 I had that same image in my mind, hence the little reference to it (cannonfire, horses). I always wonder what'd be like, to live then. 🙏 Ehm...lemme count...😉 Absolutely, you're in there! I thought of you when I wrote Doc. You'll meet him soon. Wow, the reaction to this story is something I didn't see coming. To think I thought it a silly premise, dreamed up while I am writing Confounded 3 (this story formed about two weeks ago), finding some quirks for Tom that didn't seem to fit him...wow. Thank you so much, all! 🙏

CHAPTER 2 - Kai I stared at the letter. Or rather, its wax seal. And above it, the return address. Impossible…it was the address of my parental home but it couldn’t be from Dad; he died months ago, shortly after I arrived in San Antonio at the Brooke Army Medical Center. Haha!!! I appreciate all of you above! The response has been very nice, to this story! Thank you so much! 😘 Your questions will be answered in the next chapter. All you need is patience, though I am contemplating on releasing the next one sooner, so readers can at least an inkling of what they're signing on for. I might do that...on the other hand, the slow pace works for Adam. 😉
