So got you’ve be able to come back to this touching story of boys coming of age with the abnormally normal challenges that so many teens face; from parents and grandparents, schoolmates, society, and of course learning that even an honest income gets skimmed by the government; growing into adulthood is tough enough to navigate without those useless pressures where it seems all those people want to relive their life through you. 😢

I don’t think Noah is necessarily bad, even as he was too drunk and too aggressive in his pursuit, it was somewhat understandable he thought Nicky was on the same page; wrongly of course, but no one had warned Nicky about the type party it really was. Noah is emotionally immature, with a good looking maturing body. He is normally pursued so society is somewhat guilty that he gets trained to think everyone just wants to have fun. It is obvious he is immature as he does like all the emotional talking, therefore the absence of calls/texts, but when the physical Nicky returns so does Noah; so not that he’s bad, but he needs to grow maturity or risks just going through life detached…then to become just a dirty old man.

I thought with his resolution upon return from holiday, running like a gimpy hunchback of Notre Dame carrying his bags and running to…Jack, that he was final motion with a vector. Indeed, I’m surprised they didn’t ask her if she knew who did kill Ira or did she have anything to do with his murder. As professing her innocence from killing Ira herself, doesn’t clear her of hiring or knowing who did murder him. It almost puts the suspect target on the aunt. She wasn’t honest about her familiarity with Caleb as she declared not seeing him for years, yet she had been giving Caleb‘s mom updates to include seeing signs of abuse. So the aunt that helped get his mom out of town, with a new identity and new clothes and hair styles, also knew how hard she had tried to get Caleb away or to visit but feared for her life to risk it again. An aunt that knew all these details and had that close relationship with her niece and grand nephew, could’ve felt that with no police or social services action that it was time for desperate measures. Now the question is, is the aunt built like a lumberjack or is this a boyfriend or someone hired or another of Ira’s acquaintances inspired by the aunt's pleading encouragement? I think Novak is a champ. I think he noticed that Killian needed time to process how he felt about about Caleb and his mom. So in this chapter, we don’t gain the benefit of the discussion they usually have of the pros and cons derived from this interview with Caleb’s mom..

The threat might bring better cognitive function to the PM that was again aligned too quickly and too easily with the JIC; allowing his take down of MI5…which is probably beyond even the PMs authority. Fantastic thinking on Andrews part, and that has possibly stopped the senseless killing of the crew because of the mercenary greed. Within the context of minimal sleep after him feeling responsible for Adam and Steve rift, then trying to help, Caleb, a guy he didn’t particularly like but was trying to help a newly ex’d, Asher, running into roadblocks from Caleb and so called friend or ex of Caleb…why is everyone acting like they don’t want the truth, or to help Caleb. Now even As(er is mad, but perhaps more at himself than Killian or Caleb. Ironically, if the person coming across the field was Asher then than would mean he lied about cheating. I think Asher omitted the truth about finding more interest in Caleb, but I don’t see Asher cheating on Killian. I think the cliffhanger may truly be a zinger, far from having been considered.
