Oh yes, but I did 20 years, so I have many of those. I also jumped across different systems and missions, so it’s a diverse background. It’s not unusual to find myself asked about something back then but then we get started and to talking all night; often with a remind me next time you were asking about…

Likewise, whether US or Joint Forces my experiences say the same; professional pride and respect for order. Casual approaches to procedure or for maintenance can get you or your buddy killed. Likewise, misreading critical messages can start a war. Only by coincidence and not part of a mission, we had 2 C130 aircraft on a small airstrip, on a small pacific island, with this airfield designed as max 2 on ground for aircraft capacity; one American and one Japanese. Yet we got a message from the host nation ground officer that an urgent mission needed to land and fuel; prompting his direction that one aircraft must leave…NOW. Though communication and clarification of mission objectives was a little slower, we pooled together and used more creativity in tightly parking our two nations aircraft, with tails angled out over the island brush, to clear the runway for the urgent mission. THEN All personal pitched in to do the quick turn around on this engaged sub-tracker; the refueling was manual pumping with a bicycle style hand crank pump mounted on metal drums. So the hand petaling would quick exhaust one crewman as we recognized and formed a line to relay the quick pumping required. The same for switching the pump head to a fresh drum. A battery cart was the ground start system, as it too had a hand crank generator to bump up the charge. Crude you might think, but fuels had the be tankered in, generating power taking the majority of that. So very efficient and dependable for the requirements. So young Japanese and American troops were synchronized within minutes in getting this mission accomplished…yet not once was the American forces tasked or requested to assist. The aircraft was serviced and back airborne in record time; with many deep bows, and considerable domo arigatos offered. But most rewarding was the many young men of both nations smiling and celebrating this joint effort as if we had just won the Olympics. This remote assignment location wasn’t tasked with such a mission, but had a limited emergency capability that was mostly unpracticed…as it was expected to be a more rare and as time required operation for emergency aircraft. Yet the troubled and worried look on the young Japanese officers face said hope and prayers were on his mind that he might answer this urgent tasking for an actual mission engagement. As a ranking guest officer I offered help and suggestions, so that he was more easily able to understand and make the obvious choices laid before him. Informal joint training born of normal joint exercises.

Unfortunately, in an environment where governmental corruption makes it impossible to trust, and then the military doesn’t have the trust of the people. So they’re likewise caught in the middle, with jobs to do but with possible corruption and repercussions from either side as they try to operate. It’s a no win situation, as that brings the corruption within the forces also. One officer may walk off from commanding orders, only to then have his orders rescinded by another, or worse, shot with claims of sniper fire. So they themselves are at risk either way they turn.

Standing to bow wasn’t classy, nor was the Le Réveil trumpeted as if sounding opinionated, but ass only a casual recovery is meant to be…so classic of a young man’s brash humor; butt given the untimely flatulence release, in arching structures treasured for preserving sound waves throughout the chambers, what’s one to do…smile and own it of course, says the young man. Ohhhh, butt the bachelor party was for such vulgarities. This is a wedding party, showcasing the virtues of the bride and the young maidens you see, so surely not to be aired off by one loose with opinions. OMG, you had me laughing and chuckling for several minutes as I read your confession…and thought to a few of my younger days and simple words to disarm rebukes expected by those putting on the Airs.

Stroppy was our mule Nell. She was a good girl, if you had a good relationship with her, but rather stroppy for all but us few. 😂

With our family farm, it meant growing up around it all. Family and neighbors joined in for a cow or hog slaughter, it was the neighborly thing to do. At the end to the day pretty much everything had a use; leaving very little unused, but even that could be traded for some service exchange. Help shared in the steaks, loins, sausages and such. Many things are shielded or removed from our country life now days, but survival of the seasons on what the land gives us is an important part of life. No doubt, my sixth grade class back in the suburbs was somewhat surprised of my class presentation on a cows heart and eyeball; with in class dissecting done to match the science book graphics. Yup, hands on, heart vs loin muscle, is the eye filling like jello? 🤣 Touch it and tell us what you think, Lisa. In junior high school some of my elementary classmates said we’ve already done that, but when the teacher said it was required they begged for me to do my presentation again. A buddy and I were bringing the cow organs back for that presentation on a motorcycle; us just turned 14. I joked for the buddy not to get us in a bloody wreck or we might find they put the cow parts back inside us.

Jurassic Stalk, some of our earliest recorded stalking cases.

Does that come in a cloth pouch behind a zipper enclosure? Ahhh salvation can be an interesting journey; like a playground with a teeter-toddler, up and down, switching playmates and repeating until everyone tires and is ready to go home…until another day of salvation comes around.

Though technically the same, I prefer squishing vs squashing, as somehow it sounds…more complete, more extracting. 😈 😆

Ohhh, that nasty little unpredictable virus…called autocorrect.

Even Jack Ryan had his fear of flying…helicopters; caused his severe back injury and with the PTSD from that explosive crash itself. Ironically, the explosion cause by a suicidal young kid with a grenade that, with Jack’s compassion, he had helped aboard. Hopefully, Ezra doesn’t betray Andrew Carter in similar fashion, as I’m not sure whether Enrico would go down fighting or would perhaps surrender to protect Ezra if they are together at the time.

This story has much potential, as Darren is grieving but may now feel guilty for being happy to re-unite with his boyfriend. I hope he didn’t have any last words or prayers that would haunt him concerning his parents’ deaths; the same may be said about Luca as well for that frustration of praying 30 minutes invites many thoughts that may stray from praying for fellow mankind. I would hope the author had more unfolding as the characters developed and that we might see more from these boys and their welcoming family.

Aggressive little vampires; then you get to enjoy the itchy little reminders that she’d been busy tapping multiple blood wells all around those exposed areas where she had mapped your blood letting. Now off you go to …slap some more bitches, as there’s more than the population of China aiming for you. Enjoy being slap happy 😆.

Oh goodness, Christian is bonded…but in what way? I’m not sure big brother is a mutual evaluation of the relationship there. Noah is moving more comfortably towards a friend striving for boyfriend relationship, but the reboot may have changed their relationship more than expected. Jack has a home field advantage as they spend more personal and relaxed time together as roommates; he’s probably more connected with Nick than anyone else as it seems they connect at a deeper level naturally…not learned, just commonality in my mind. I think this holiday with the family may have the same affect of family for more than just Jack. I can’t wait to see what mom thinks, especially when compared to Noah’s visit.

In college I used to joke that as soon as an exam was over my brain flushed everything I learned around the bowl and down the hole. Sometimes I’m the same with names too; I tell people with apologies that more than 5’ or 5 minutes they’re name is probably gone. 🤷♂️

Absolute power, corrupts absolutely. It’s universal, beyond politics. Human nature unfortunately finds too many that feed on greed; power magnifies all the flaws and removes human compassion. It’s so sad 😞.

Just clarifying, the observer was the classmate Timmy. The benefactor was a twenty-something young man, at the shopping center toilets. Gentlemen, we have a special today; free blow jobs, from a possibly legal high schooler, in our very own neighborhood shopping center toilets. When others say our shopping center blows, we just swallow our pride or take it on the chin and say thank you ☺️.

Hmmm 🤔, who amongst the catholic staff is making those camping dorm assignments; as every teacher seemed to be aware of the rumors, what approach might they employ for his proper catholic upbringing?
-
The nature of operations or undertakings of this significance, once implemented all involved are at risk once their task is completed; … it’s the ole NO WITNESSES type scenario, where only the primary benefactor comes out alive with no connections to the trail of havoc they laid upon others.

Nah, he’s already unconscious, in cardiac arrest and shock, he’ll wake in the hospital with short term amnesia. 😆

Yup, their spouses did it!

Yes, a break from school or work, with much therapy to deal with such separation anxiety 😥.

Sad that you had to experience that event in life. Many of us with kids or having raised kids know that feeling. Kids don’t necessarily pick up on initial physical changes until it hits them harder, then they’re not great at explaining the nuances of the differences in acute pains versus dull cramps or spasms…it’s just ow 😓 owii, it hurts. My daughter had an eye/optic infection that occurred, of course, with me on deployment. Apparently only some swelling and then pressure started giving her headaches around the temple and cheek. Then the news…if the infection didn’t respond quickly there was a distinct possibility of optic nerve damage and blindness, with fears that it could spread to the other eye/optic nerve. Luckily it did respond to the antibiotics before damage was done. Then at 17, that same daughter had to be told that a very serious boyfriend, one that was a great match and shared life goals, not possessive nor insecure, but…passed away in his sleep 3 weeks past his nineteenth birthday; a rare genetic marker was found to be present, one that on rare instances didn’t tell the heart to speed up when resting with too low a rhythm. it took years to get past that loss but she finally found another special young fella. Then as they what to start a family the daughter miscarried and is having troubles with getting pregnant again; it’s been emotional for her and hard to know when it’s ok to speak of the situation and loss, yet she feels at times that no one cares or expresses compassion… 😣. It hurts when you have no control to help a loved one experiencing loss and pains in life.
