The ultimatums do backfire from time to time. It wasn’t about sexuality but more of implied financial risk around a dear friend of junior high through high school and into college. My trust in my friend didn’t extend to him from my dad; quite the opposite. Dad gave an ultimatum and demanded my keys to a newer car he was helping me to upgrade to. While it was his intent to show control and then have me agree to his demands, that’s not what happened. I immediately left in my older car and stayed with the friend the last few days before returning to college. While dad was working one day I dropped by to pack up my belongings from my summer back home. We didn’t speak again until near the end of the term. He asked me to come home during break but I said I couldn’t as I had to work more to make ends meet; so I stayed at school. During the break mom and dad drove up separately to deliver the my newer (less old) car and the keys. He said it was rightfully mine but he would still help me keep it by having the insurance under his policy and discounts. i told him if it’s mine then I decide where and how I use it and to whom I trust with keys or use. He just nodded in agreement and said that was my decision and it will be your responsibility. So sometimes the hardline ultimatum results in the opposite reaction and the end result is that a certain level of trust may have been forever lost or it will forever comes with more reserved scrutiny. 🧐 Kids have to learn to be adults, and adults have to learn to let them.

Why play pocket pool when an upperclassman is willing to help you with your physical erection set…ahem, physics erector set right there in your dorm room, laying on your bed, dressed or undressed, your choice, comfortably? All depends on whether you’re a quick study or require long hard hours with vocalization to help you and your partner’s memory recall. 🤷♂️

Somehow I believe Jonah and Christian may help get the Nicky train back on it’s tracks…to Jack; Noah is like the old cabooses that are no longer needed and are rarely spotted.

Nah, that’s committing Enrico to his old life. As smart and cunning as he is I could see him trying to return to a more respectable place; the hint was even throw out there like a fish flopped onto the docks…that he might work for the good guys in intelligence. Hmmm 🧐. Given that he play a role as facilitator, Sinclair and his network is far overreaching Enrico’s involvement; after all Enrico refused to kill knowing how Ezra was hurt so much that he had to betray him…the arrow loosed.

Of course they would never had met if Enrico hadn’t been in the till of dark monies and political influences. It’s a shame that possibly the one thing that Enrico was missing and might have changed his life is if he could have realized his love before things were to commit these crimes that were attributable to him. His older way of life may have been well buried and forgotten so that they could have had a real chance. But alas, both had growing to do that probably means love from far now.

It is a book concerning spies and subterfuge…

Ahhh, there are no parental handbooks issued for each kid nature gifts us. Hindsight 20/20 is a terrible critique when we get it wrong, but it’s a great thing when it validates you’re doing things right. Trace and Celia know it’s tough being teens in farm country, with so little to do. So you overlook a little as they spread their wings…so long as they don’t soar towards the sun. They were encouraged that Joel doesn’t have in interest in drinking and drugs, if he is to be believed. Given he doesn’t drink anything but water says he has is own convictions. But every pro has a con, he has a limit to being bullied by idiots that don’t mind their own business. But this was said earlier in the night as it was mentioned that Jonny pisses people off and not unusual that most just punch him when they’ve had enough. 🤷♂️ I’m still more forgiving on JJ…not to say that there couldn’t be blowback.

Then again, maybe it happens in such a way that mom has time to counter the worst of his adjustment or acknowledgement; not acceptance yet, but at least acknowledgement gets beyond denial and ignoring.

With their relationship already being history, so to speak, I think the conversation was more meaningful…that Dallas very much still notices and observes his friend; but with the changes he didn’t recognize the old JJ so much. Even to his former best friend, JJ was totally different but maybe 🤔 having the opposite affect on people; drawing attention instead of being a wallflower. Now JJ looked in the mirror and didn’t care for what he saw. This happened prior to the depressing setback visit with Dallas; so now the question is, will JJ go through his makeover to better get his old self and best friend back? Or will he go back depressed, withdrawn, and stay EMO? I’m betting he goes for a striking good looking make over, now vs later, to finally give us and Dallas the sexy young guy of the picture revealed earlier.

My thoughts too.

It’s interesting that the PM apparently approved the moves so it makes sense that the maneuver for power and control goes beyond Defuq. I’m hopeful that all the corrupt players get exposed before their peers…tear down the wall.

Partially redeem himself by taking out Sinclair, his network, and all his blackmail lists?

Yup, hard to stop shooting once it’s started…it’s on automatic after all. Obviously designed by and for use of men, who know such things.

So the non lethal shots to the knees, at 10 rapid shots…becomes amputations. We could have used a scalpel, Mr Thugs, but since you barged in, guns drawn for execution of prey, your life without leg is a gift; a gift in the name of Ezra, as promises are fulfilled.

Sure everyone will think I’m crazy, but did I at least look good?

Ahhh, but remember Westley is only one degree from the contagious gay brother; that’s why he had to go. Although I think Westley just didn’t like being made to look bad.

I imagine Colt will be a little more guarded in punking Joel now. Hopefully, Davin will get Joel more trusting of him and then the crew. Yes, the fact that Davin jerked hid hand back from Joel upon Gavin approaching says he was self conscious of something he was try to make seem as just caring for a friend. So I think the twins have either heard something or it educated guess…that has Davin hoping and testing Joel to say it first.

The fallout at home…being the Connelly house? Joel was going just to please Celia and Trace that he is returning to being a teenager with social needs; not hiding away when Trace especially knows the risks of depression. Also, Trace already knows Jonny and saw the efforts Jonny was making to be a nuisance and a bully when Trace showed up. Likewise, Jonny came looking for Joel and was asked to leave. I think Joel just knew Jonny would keep on running his mouth and then going for his own style of harassment. Joel just preemptively stuck Jonny and then again. It’s unfortunate but Jonny is like a wolverine that doesn’t let go. Instead of keeping away from Joel, he figured he could harass him freely when he wouldn’t be packing a gun; so with the history, Jonny knew to leave him alone. But being the bully that he is, Jonny comes over to pick a fight…he got it quicker than he expected, as he is the type that enjoys the verbal harassing assaults before elevating to his endgame of physical assaults. He is dead end of a person, and he will eventually cross the wrong person and get himself killed or get a free pass to jailhouse bitch.

Indeed it was. I wanted to give it the heart, but yet the heart bond is still so fragile for the boys. So instead I gave it the hope that they will indeed grow that bond realizing it’s their lives that bring the love and fulfillment they seek. I’m more traditional, in that I’ve never been of the opinion that PDA should be so routine. I even find the shows that have the hero or heroine having to hold hands as they run for their lives or jump off a cliff too fake. I definitely believe a helping hand is always appreciated and expected from some you have a friendship or bond with…but running hand in hand with bullets whistling by just seems fake. Bit more so for me, it feels possessive, or territorial; like if I hand her/his hand then you know to bugger off. So Instead of Dallas feeling like he has to go to the office and make a student announcement, I believe you just go about your own business. Spending more time with a friend, especially your rescuer, isn’t hard to explain. If the friends can’t accept that then they can bugger off or get reported for harassment…possibly instigating hate crimes, whether real or perceived, are hate crimes. Meanwhile, only closer friends and relatives even have to know they are boyfriends unless they are just that touchy and feely in public…of which I’m not, that’s reserved for the more special and expressive moments together.
