So, so much that happened here yet it’s a feeling, an emotion, and not the words that say it. This conveys that bond and the love that binds it wonderfully. The acknowledgment of others that may share their brothers’ lives and may bond too, but without altering the forever bond between them is a powerful moment in their growth and the maturity of their love. They weren’t the only ones that needed to wipe their eyes after burning those calories of emotions; those of acceptance and understanding given and received.

These boys have no idea the experiences that Kurtis brings to the fight; that and he’s a thinker, so watch out boys this could be the ole tiger by the tail…with big teeth in the other end that bite rather unforgivingly.

I could presume more like good fucking friends, butt that may be too presumptuous…which just sucks. Butt then again, many lessons in life can be learned from experience gained when things suck.

While I’m not in the Miles disappearance fan camp, I’ve not really ever felt that a real bond and true love existed between Troy and Owen. That being said, Miles hasn’t been flighty with his life decisions since his disappearance and has expressed deep regrets and deep respect for those that may have moved on without him. Do I agree with Mile’s decision to leave; no, absolutely not. Do I agree with his decision to deny contact…even to explain why he left, even by a non-reply message; no, absolutely not. But has Miles shown stability in his life post-Troy; mostly, ignoring his life of international and illegal hookups 🤣. His love life or lack of commitment seems to be symptomatic of his lingering bond to Troy. Mikes seems to have lived a life of redemption, to himself, and to what he thinks is better for others affected. However, he has gotten a little too far into not communicating for fear of interfering with the natural course of others lives. Miles does need to be forthcoming with his own thoughts too…which is part of his initial problem with disappearing without explanation before. So, I guess… I took the long road…I too think the ranch is something Miles needs; to complete part of his journey of putting his demons, or ghosts, to bed. Plus this will give Miles and Troy the lost opportunity to grow from teens to adults as was expected earlier in life.

Owen actually strayed before Troy and indirectly may have contributed to Troy missing and needing Miles even more. Neither expected Miles to be there in Scotland, yet Owen was already eye fucking a coworker, so ironically when he got all jealous and wrapped around Troy seeing Miles…he was already straying; so was it a throw back to more exciting days or just guilty jealousy of wanting to have it both ways. Likewise, when Owen went wild fucking Troy…he was really using Troy to fantasy fuck his crush. So Troy kissed Miles, then comes clean; only then does Owen come clean about playing dinner footsie with a young coworker. Owen got the 7-year itch before they even got married. 😮 Considering his proposal, I have to wonder if he wasn’t already trying to overcome his own boredom and thought marriage might save their relationship.

A man has to know his limits, and Peter Pan wasn’t all wrong 😑.

Well, he had already wrecked his own home with his true love, so wrecking another one to recover your original one is …somewhat familiar. Troy may have leaned into Miles, but we all know it’s just as easy to back away BEFORE the kiss has contact. So Miles had wanted that contact just as much and would have been telegraphing that desire. While caution did end the kiss, it is a caution that says decisions have to be considered, discussed, and resolved to create a clear path forward. At least that’s what Miles and Troy convey to me…

Yeah, a little distracted by re-assimilating into his prior life, but with Ken now near, the understanding and desire to know his special friend and protector will accelerate the contact a bit, I'm thinking 🤔.

Unfortunately the dream has his relationship and ties with Randy wrapped within an engagement most likely filled with some level of shock/trauma. Randy was and is his anchor for his military life at this time, so I think a phone call with Randy may be coming rather quickly…will Ken be joining the call, perhaps so if Kent has explained any of his personal life before the call as the Asian culture would have family personally thanking Randy for taking care of their son/brother. It none of this tell him thanks for us stuff, it must be personally conveyed.

With Ken now home and to take his twin bed where he is likely to see, hear, and feel some of what Kent and Randy have been living; I think it’s inevitable his twin will since enough that the frank discussions will follow, including Ken’s understanding of just how special Randy is. Randy has taken over as Kent’s friend, family, and protector, while living this military life and its deployments. At least I think his twin will get a most fair and complete discussion…that Kent hasn’t even admitted fully to himself.

So that’s Owen’s POV? 🤣 That would be a big twist.

I’m thinking that’s a no brainer; I’m still a firm believer that Owen inserted himself, persistently and enduring, until he got Troy out of his isolation depression. Yet I don’t give him too much credit for Troy’s movement past Miles, as he distracted Troy so much that Troy stopped therapy and never really got over Miles, while slowly giving in to Owen’s pursuit of a partnered life with his crush.

I guess since no body paints came out restraint could be claimed…by one or the other; hmmm 🤔, perhaps Marco Polo can keep them away from the paints.

Troy may have kissed Miles out of his own throwback to their relationship as it was…and perhaps as he felt that same familiarity with their dinner. Then again, Owen doesn’t seem to be putting much effort into his and Troy’s relationship, other than the spontaneous sex foray of recent past…which totally surprised Troy. As I mentioned in my observations previously, it appeared Owen knew he was setting himself up as a rebound guy. Even then he had a long hard time winning Troy’s confidence; the competition with the memories of Miles being tough, that being with Miles gone. Now that Miles is back, does Owen feel he can even compete…Troy has never gone gaga so quickly and completely as he has seen Troy respond to Miles. So has Owen pulled away knowing he doesn’t hold a candle against Miles or is it perhaps that living together with Troy has made the reality of their plain relationship more obviou?

That wasn’t restraint, that was a proper escape maneuver; so yes, hopefully Miles has learned to disengage without a disappear.

Growth from tragedy, yet borne of love from all involved. Yet we see and melded family come together under a single roof, and a father/guardian working hard to keep that family together. It’s a touching story with twists of fate at it’s core. Thanks for re-visiting this story to pen the final chapter. I hope all is well with you, as I well know the challenges life gives us slows us down; I too am learning a slower pace. Nothing like meeting the parents in the middle of a complex calf birthing; with a bruised face and cracked ribs. Sky sails on the winds of change as he jumps right into the critical post birth massage, impressing the mom and surprising the dad. This effeminate young man isn’t opposed to getting his hands dirty with a little ranch work; is it him or is this more to be near his new hero and crush…his type. Yup, he let it slip that Wyatt is his type, though not his previously know type. Perhaps both of these young men have met with their unexpected soulmates. Sky is interested and willing to see ranch life, and Wyatt is happy to get a breath of fresh air in a partner that shares his vision of living rural life…and Sky is welcomed to be himself. This has very interesting dynamics and simple twists, set within the ranch environment…but what lurks beyond as dad questioned, will there be more unfinished business surrounding Sky.

And us humans have to figure out what they are on about; smart, but if only they could communicate clearly and with less bite, claws, surprise ankle attacks, etc.
