    Chapter 28

OMG 😆, it’s much the way the New World Colonies were and are just rowdy children that don’t speak properly.

    Chapter 28

Even if the location or country of the story is far removed @Mark Ponyboy Peters fills the picture with such common life observations, experiences, and interactions, that the feeling of home or what one can identify as home is so very strong that it’s hard not to feel the connection, the emotion, and the…underlying love, even when times are difficult.

It’s the random voices in my head that’s disturbing 😳…

    Chapter 28

It’s a stark reminder of how life repeats itself…I guess this is why those of us who have raised kids too often have to use the ole do as I say not as I did routine; hopeful that they may heed the free life lesson that we ourselves did not when we heard those Sage yarns.

    Chapter 28

That’s the question Levi seems to be asking himself about Zack, what’s not to like? 😆 Luke is sitting firmly in the second dad seat, his patient listening and his little extra relief from Matt’s more strict regiment is paying off; not to undermine Matt or win favorite dad, but to keep Levi more positive and motivated to stay on track. Brooke strikes me as more shallow and has from the beginning, but now it just bugs me that she wants to be there but tries hard to show everyone that she’s needing special consideration. I’ve never had patience for mind games and would have probably dropped all attention she gets like tossing off a hot potato…bye Brooke. I feel Shane’s street smarts tells him more than he lets on, but in the long game I believe he knows he needs to keep the good people insulated from the real bad actors. Therefore, I expect more friendly interactions that will garner him the info he disparately needs to understand those bad actors in this prime community. Oh my, will Zach show love interest in young Levi or is this just the more mature and street smart Zach reaching out to include a young curious mind in socializing? He could easily fall into a big brother role or he could honestly find Levi’s quiet nature a refreshing quiet he’s been missing himself. Age is just a number once Levi gets just a little more time and maturity going for him. Either way, I hope Zach and Levi hit it off to at least have a mutually beneficial or supportive relationship. If Levi takes the job Aaron is offering, that may put Zach and Levi teaming up in work crews very soon! Yay 😀, we get to learn more about Zach and how the homesteader was brought into the household with a key versus camping out in unoccupied rooms with suspicious lock failures.

    Chapter 9

Straight and narrow or sideways…or just taking it off-road diagonally.
  7. If only it were brain food. Richard is blindly infatuated by Dickoless, yet dear Dickoless is apparently unraveling into a drunken slacker; even Richard should see this but for the rose colored glasses he wears for…his former friend. I don’t see any effort at any time for Dickoless to remain a friend with Richard. He is distancing while acting as if he still values his old life and friendship; while spending drunken weekends and apparently some school nights in total denial of responsibility and his old friendship. If hiding from himself he’s doing a terrible job. He’s only drawing unwanted attention while doing little else to maintain his studies. Richard needs to open his own eyes to Dickoless, whom doesn’t listen, and either rat him out for his own good or whatever will be will be…

    Chapter 9

It’s a premature question for now, as the statement says it all…we jacked off…not we Jack off, together. Therefore more FUNdamental time is needed to establish the link from jerk to joint goals in life. Like a hydraulic press, I think a RISE in pressure is bound to lead to joint decisions…or the pressure relief valves will have to be reset often. Of course the more practice, the more proficient, at coaxing those little valves into long periods of reliable performance; perhaps joint studies is a long goal adventure they should seek.

    Chapter 27

She was a legend in life and unfortunately now in death. Her talents have touched across most genres and contributed to popularity of many performers. Yet she remained humble and caring; giving of her time, money, and notoriety. Educated by life, she held a doctorate in life’s lessons. She was a professor, having taught many how to keep smiling…even if it was the occasional smile of a southern lady that could smile while letting you know what an ass you were being. She rose above what most would ever have been able to; personally and as a celebrity. Her coat of many colors served her well in life. I’m sure that wherever she is, in heart, mind, and spirit, that her smile forever shines bright.

    Rock Stars

Poor Richard, still too blinded and naive to realize…Harriet may have put your story and the likes of others into that last song. Perhaps the Mr and Mr Hayes assumption is correct, but even if not, the message in that bottle they seem to have consumed, is that perhaps Richard needs to understand that after high school ribbing and/or judgement…who cares. I think Nicholas or Dickoless will run and dive for cover while Richard is devastated…yet, who may pick him up to let him see his own value other than perhaps the joyful, happy, Sizzler King Stu. Just my two cents worth, but cents the penny is discontinued… and most rounding says then my two cents worth is equal to…ZERO, NOTHING, ZILCH, DICKOLESS.

    Chapter 27

I think it’s more likely that a subsequent event of manipulation or those previous events of probable rape may come to light and bring the legal actions necessary to let Casey and possibly accomplices spend more time being a pretty boi jailhouse bitch; perhaps in the Thompson Wing of the penitentiary.

    Chapter 27

In words yes, but in impact to self or others the difference is much greater. Casey set it all up, then cause greater losses covering the crimes against others and their property. Whereas Levi hears the words when the crimes against Matt and his property is already being paid within family. So no need to pour salt in that wound and add a record on a victim of trying to belong. So while the words are similar, the context of responsibility for crimes and damages are quite different. Levi is paying for his part internally without added complications of public law. Casey’s case would be no responsibility for crimes or damages to parties harmed, at all. So context matters in messaging, Levi is being held accountable…while not airing dirty laundry through the legal system that wouldn’t punish the real perpetrators but rather the semi-victim that was groomed to commit such acts. Likewise, whom is the victim seeking legal relief from damages done? If no public property damages were done and the claims of public harm being harder to prove, especially in the US where you have the right to remain silent, then again it makes a public defender more unlikely to prioritize this case over more meaningful and costly impact events. Will the insurance claim adjuster want to pursue the crimes more than the police? Given the fair market value of this total loss it is probably just more cost effective to pay and leave it be unless the police give the public defender something that is truly a slam dunk.

    Chapter 27

Nice thought, but it’s unlikely that the torching by itself can be distilled from the crashed and abandoned vehicle on the roadway. And it’s hardly likely that Casey and crew will take responsibility to same Levi.

    Chapter 27

Within the teen perspective there are those things already dealt with or their consequences faced. Then there are the things yet to deal with. He not only lost the logbook but what it represented; the trust and relationship established with his dad, the bond between them now scarred. Can he re-accomplish the logbook, no doubt. Can he recapture the same joy of trust and accomplishment that he had worked for, well…probably never the same warm sense of first, but if he’s lucky it may make the bond even stronger and give even more meaning to being a part of his family. So while it may seem he hasn’t learned anything from his experience, I’d say he is looking at more tangible things necessary to rebuild what that logbook represented in a more personal way. Can he regain that pride his father had in seeing him learn important tasks in responsibility, hours in a logbook are not the only thing that matters in a relationship of trust and responsibility with dad, with family, with his tribe household.
  19. Richard is being used so that Nicholas can seal the deal while Richard entertains Marta. Well, I can smell ackward disaster for Marta. Hopefully Marta doesn’t visit after all the Richard can pull a shocker…attending with Stu; jealous there Nicholas? Nicholas is very concerned with whom Richard associates and definitely doesn’t want Richard getting interested in Stu. Well shocker Nicholas, think what you are doing to Richard as you don’t associate in school and then want to date a “cool, sexy, and popular” girl. Poor Stu, I think he really wants to go with Richard, but understands Richard’s just not as confident in coming out in school. If only he tried to have a little more private and calm conversation with Richard, then they could at least establish their own interest and maybe bring their focus on honest feelings.
  20. Are you insinuating he needs to wait patiently while having a cork plug in his hole? That does tend to mature the contents some and does probably make the whine better too.

No, that was the kids buried, not the mom. 😈
  23. Granted, I think I read too much into the Majors comment of out of respect for Kurtis’ 14 good years, but anyway, Kurtis set that straight. As to mom, her subdued actions did ultimately help Kurtis, but she should have been protecting him from the eviction and the asshole. The comment of it being his house is far from true with a wife and kid. He could be looking for a mobile home trailer to rent while fighting his divorce and child support. Most any state will still consider him the parental father until …ironically his bio dad might have to adopt him or get court action of removing the parental rights of Bernie, or where Bernie willingly gives them up, as well as mom, to leave bio dad, once proven, as his next of kin. Legal version of Twister anyone?
