    Shiva

Ah, here is the ganga. Useful stuff. Useful for politicians, too. Put people they don’t like in for-profit prisons for ‘illegal’ use, meanwhile investing in ‘legal’ marijuana business. I like Frankie’s religious experiences, this one was more pleasant than Tasmania or the monastery.

    Rameswaram

    Aw shucks...thanks☺️

That's one way to end a chapter. I'm surprised Lucien has lasted in India, he seems oblivious to basic sanitary issues. Perhaps the package vacation isolated him from such concerns. Unsurprisingly, he's self-centered in bed; however, he did unwittingly (not that he has much wit to go around) prevent Frankie from grinding his gears into mental malaise, and allowed him to enjoy the temple tours.

    Lucien

He’s rescued another one. Maybe this guy will have better manners than Jürgen and not try to bash Frankie's head with a rock? I dare to hope.

    Nayaka

This feels familiar; makes me think of mint tea, though, instead of coffee.😉 Nayaka seems thoroughly pleasant, glad he and Frankie had a chance to spend time together. Frankie is learning more and more about this multifaceted land and peoples.

    Chapter 18

Oh no! Close call with the dog. Small towns can be so helpful.

    Kolkata

Haha, 😆 I believe you have more vested interest in Frankie’s happiness than I do. A benevolent writer god who loves his creation to well to make him suffer in vain. So I will stick with my faith, in its cocksure certainty, despite insubstantial evidence. Bear with me, I know belief and faith are not part of the Rigby doctrine.😂

    Jürgen

A philosophic interlude with Jürgen and a disappointing phone call to Sadu, amidst pleasant sightseeing. I’ll guess Frankie is itching for a bit of alone time to clear his head before the next adventure.

    Howrah

Wonderful descriptions of India. This mainly pleasant chapter leads me to expect another dire circumstance, soon. That cave won’t fill itself.

I have faith you’ll provide a suitable life-mate for Frankie. Maybe chapter 39 or 40...

Amazing escape by the resourceful Frankie and his brave and capable friend. At least this time, they don’t have to drag bodies into the cave. Hopefully, Shiv will go on to a happy and fulfilling life. (As much as is allowed in a Rigby novel, I’m beginning to think 🤔😅😉.)

    Shiv

Interesting monastery. Frankie, under duress, flirts with spiritual enlightenment, as he did in Tasmania, but manages to get a hold of himself and reject it.😂 Meanwhile, the monastery is discovered to be nastier and nastier as his imprisionment continues. I have a bad feeling about Michael. Shiv will be a necessary ally.

    Sankturi

Hahaha! This is even more extreme than I anticipated, and I have a feeling the next few days won’t be much better. Frankie wanted a real monastic experience, but looks like he found more than he bargained for. At least there won’t be a bunch of drunk Australian tourists.😂

    Gangtok

That was a pleasant chapter. Frankie will have a warm memory to recall for a long time.

    Sushant

Frankie did well to encourage Sushant out of his mental bonds. Hopefully, the practical experience will be worthwhile for both of them.
  16. Everyone had wild stories, even if they only were 5% true. A sensitive and moving speak by Frankie on his feelings toward Prudence. They did well clearing out the family of parasites. On that note, looking forward to Frankie’s ‘enlightenment’ in almost Tibet.
  17. 5 minutes on a major news site will shock me, and I won’t continue to read things I don’t feel have wholesome, healthy underlying attitudes. Haven’t had a problem with this story. I think it’s done in good taste. As far as the explicit sexual content, it is showy and often sensational, but not debasing or disrespectful. I grew up reading things like ‘Naked Lunch’ and Jean Genet, and going to art festivals where things similar to the wrestling scene were actually taking place, albeit without money and vague exploitation involved.
  18. Tomorrow’s entertainment should be interesting. Will wait and be surprised, no idea what’s coming.
  19. I was also wondering if Sussan had arrived to inform them van Dahl was suing. Glad to avoid that. I think ganga in the above comment refers to marijuana, but not sure how that relates to almost Tibet. If everyone’s name has a clever context, what is the meaning behind Sussan. Not that the name has any particular meaning to me or anything...😉
  20. I was expecting a rounded belly, but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Quite a few new characters in them mix.

    Itchy Feet

At the natural hot springs in MT, ID, and BC its always acceptable to be naked and run around the immediate woods; however, if you’re camped down the river it’s not considered appropriate to skinny dip if there is any possibility of running into other people. Bummer. Meanwhile, my naked kid runs around and poops in the neighbors lawn.🙄 Looking forward to the Buddhist monastery. You don’t run out of ideas for our hero. Thinking Frankie’s enlightenment will be laced with the signature Rigby irony.
  22. Yikes, that was a close call. This cave is going to have some serious bad spirits haunting the place. At least, they’ll all be too busy squabbling with each other to bother anyone else. Sad day to contemplate horrors such as this happening in the not to distant future.
  23. The creepiest villain so far, and we’re only on chapter 18! Sylvan has a dangerous mission ahead. I had forgotten about ‘Kind Hearts and Coronets’, I remember that being a funny movie.

    Chapter 4

“His reasoning breaks the ice under his feet.” Haha, that’s a fun description.
  25. @Rigby Taylor I admire that you’ve spent your time and energy correcting an imbalance you’ve experienced in society. I apologize if I’m being overly critical. You’ve obviously spent a lot more effort creating this work than it takes me to pinpoint a difference in opinion and slap a comment onto each chapter. Will continue to read with an open mind. The ‘war of the sexes’ stuff doesn’t leave a sour taste in my mouth, but it does make me heartsick. If that’s an imbalance I want to correct in society, maybe eventually I’ll dedicate enough time to an art form in which to couch my specific opinions and beliefs.
