  1. Gotta be team Charlie. Mostly, because we get his POV, and his internal thought process is adorable. Jesse seems like a great guy, and maybe just what Colin needed for a first real relationship. If he and Colin end hopefully it will be gentle on both of them. I’m thinking if Colin and Charlie end up together, Colin will have to do some nurturing. Good thing he has ‘lots of room for baggage’, lol.

Fun start! Intro definitely makes me want to read more. (Although, I also wasn’t into the mirror part.) Looking forward to the rest of the story

    The Lay of the Land

Yeah, this sounds a bit different from the current strip club set up in America. It is illegal for strip clubs to charge dancers these fees (in the US) but they universally do so anyway. Strippers have sued clubs before, with mixed success. Another 'fee' tacked on in some US states is the requirement to obtain a exotic dancer license, which lasts for a year and can cost between $100-$400. Often you have to be hired by a club before you can apply for this license, but cannot work until you have it. Clubs absolutely take advantage of dancers, hopefully Canada is a little better about it!

    The Lay of the Land

I am enjoying the story so far, intrigued to learn more about the mysterious Shawn. Your descriptions are really drawing me in. On another note, for anyone curious how stripper pay works (generally, Canadian go go clubs might be different) a stripper makes no ‘base pay’, in fact there are a lot of fees they are charged by the club. There is a stage fee which can range from $5-$150, this is paid just to show up and dance. If a dancer is late to shift they are usually charged a late fee, if they miss a shift there is a no-show fee (not every club has these.) Each private dance comes with a fee, the more expensive the dance the higher the fee the club charges. Someone in the club is keeping track of how many private dances each dancer gives and the total is tallied up and must be paid out at the end of the night. On top of that a dancer must tip out to the bartender, DJ, and doorman at the end of their shift. So, don’t be surprised if a dancer is trying to empty your wallet, the club is trying to empty their g-string! (Not sure what is the male equivalent to g-string.) looking forward to reading more, keep it coming!
  11. Just found the story about slaves on an island... It is here https://www.gayauthors.org/story/aranadarkwolf/castleisland
  12. I love the smell of libraries with old books, and tall shelves with narrow pathways. I feel I could get lost and live inside a library like that... In fact I think I've read a book with that plot.
  13. I just posted a few non M4M stories. 3 are lesbian and one is not sexuality-oriented. I have also found a few other lesbian stories on this site, though not many.
  14. I don't do a lot of vigorous exercise. But I walk a lot. And pace, I pace whenever I want to really focus my thoughts. I'm into poi and hula hooping. I would like to jog everyday. Jogging is a lot of fun for me, and I ran cross country in high school; but I fallen out of running shape since. I eat healthy food, but I overeat. Hmm... Anyway this summer I plan on doing a lot of hiking and jogging, I'll see if I get back in shape.
  15. Anyone know of good sites dedicated primarily to Lesbian stories? I love M4M fiction, but it would be nice to read some W4W for a change.
  16. Ha! I wish.
  17. Goals and deadlines stress me out. I have to set time aside for myself to focus on writing, then gently coax myself into doing it. If I push to hard I'll inevitably get upset at my writing, or progress, and avoid writing for days. The biggest help to me is reading a lot. The more I read the more I feel inspired to write. Also the more I write the more I feel inspired to write.
  18. I go for a walk, or pace. Sometimes I lay on the couch and think about 'solving' the stress or upset, but that usually makes it worse. DOING an activity is usually what I need to feel better. Often I will plan out a meal and then go to the grocery store and by whatever I need then come back and cook. When I'm feeling particularly high functioning I calmly talk with the person I am upset with about how I feel, or work on the situation making me stressed. However, I usually put that off as long as possible.
