Hi Page. We're doing okay. My dad entered hospice care last Thursday. He is not in immediate danger of passing. Likely a matter of months rather than days, as I am primary caregiver, we're feeling a bit stressed.
Greetings. We are doing okay thank you. Traveling tires us both and makes me more prone to migraine but we are mostly settled at my house in PA. Miss the warmth in SC. It's been rainy here and today is unseasonably cool and there is a strong wind warning in effect for today. Changeable weather is typical for spring so not unexpected. I hope you and Steve are well.
Yes to both questions. We had to come north because of my dad's health. He's had congestive heart failure for awhile now but was admitted to the hospital with sepsis. In the course of treatment for that he went into renal failure and went on temporary dialysis. Since no one was certain the dialysis would give the kidneys enough of a boost to recover we scrambled to get mum's house settled for an extended absence. We got back to PA on Wednesday. The dialysis worked and dad was released that same day. He's home but still being treated for the sepsis with at home iv infusion antibiotics. Things are currently much better than we anticipated. Ultimately we think he'll need to enter a care facility as he really needs to be where he can receive care we can't provide.
Greetings y'all. My browser kept locking up when I tried connecting to the chat recently.
Mum and I are heading to PA next Tuesday. We're going north early, don't usually leave here until late May. My dad went into the hospital with sepsis about 10 days ago. He's been under longterm care for congestive heart failure and late last week he started with renal failure. He's on dialysis and improving but we don't know if his kidneys will recover. I've been scrambling to complete the things that must be done to have mum's house settled for the time we'll be gone. It will be 11 weeks until we get back.
Blessed be.
