  1. Thanks, we are. When the storm finally moved out we had 5-6 inches of rain.
  2. Repeatedly denying it doesn't negate the truth Dre🫢 ... er, uhm ... Nick.
  3. Thanks Clo. I think our previous vaccines and boosters gave us some immunity, protecting us from becoming seriously ill. I started with a sore throat and runny nose late Thursday. All I wanted to do on Friday was sleep. Which I did for roughly 30 hrs. Mum was a day behind me with her symptoms and slept all day Saturday. I think the long period of sleep was due to our immune response. Since then our primary symptoms match those of a head cold - stuffy head, sore throat, dry cough - plus being extremely tired. We're keeping quietly housebound. She has a couple dr appointments scheduled this week. As soon as their offices open I'll call to reschedule. We were to meet a friend for breakfast tomorrow, I texted him Saturday to cancel. Contacted a couple places we go to regularly for breakfast to let them know they will not see again before Christmas. Didn't want them to worry, worst part is each Christmas we take them trays of our homemade cookies and peanut brittle. The treats were all made before we got sick so we'll deliver them next week on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th days of Christmas instead of a bunch of silly birds.
  4. Hi Nick. You caught just in time. I hear mum moving about so I'm going to log off. Blessed be y'all.
  5. Nausea is not a cure.
  6. I don't think that likely. Turkeys aren't usually migratory. They do however move into denser mature forests over winter.
  7. Wow, sorry to hear that. So do mum and I. Get better fast.
  8. My aunt who was a 1st grade and one-time state teacher of the year, taught my son to begin reading when he was 4.
  9. It's my fault really. Sometimes children want your attention and if the only way they get it is through bad behavior. Discipline is required. If only he didn't enjoy the spankings.
  10. Your Nobel has been rescinded. Be warned the rednecks are comin' fer yew.
  11. Awarded to you by the state of South Carolina. I think that makes it as legit as your Imperial titles
  12. You should never ignore the point, that's the bit that will stick you in the end.
  13. Before and after, I hope.
  14. It's still a bit early but ... Gary.
  15. Hi. We're okay. Been back in SC for a bit over a week. I'm not online as much. The drops for my glaucoma dry my eyes and reading is less enjoyable than it once was. Blessed be.
  16. Something to remember is that most Brits are also descended from folks that emigrated from Europe or eslewhere.
  17. Albert, I apologize for being late but ...
  18. I have no words adequate to express how very sorry I am to hear this.
  19. Sawasdee Khrup Terry. My bp had been controlled up until the latest infusion. Most of the issues have normalized since the end of the infusions excepting my bp. I have a history of not tolerating bp medications well. Most stem from issues with my migraines. I'm glad bananas worked for you. They are not recommended for migraine suffers so I rarely eat them. I have an order for bloodwork in two weeks to check potassium and sodium levels. We want to be sure that we protect my kidneys. I'm lucky in my kidney disease has remained stable.
  20. Yes. What's she doing hiding amongst a bunch of flamingos?
  21. Thank you. I have mostly recovered from the effects of the infusion and feel better. The most persistent issue is my bp remains very high. I saw my nephrologist for my routine annual visit yesterday and he added a diuretic to my medications. Keeping my fingers crossed as the last time I took I diuretic after 3 days I ended up in the er with bp that put me in danger of a stroke. I am monitoring my bp closely.
  22. I am the bear in my bed ...
  23. Feel better soon Texy.
