Is it weird to reply to a comment I made about my own story to throw people off? Probably, but I'm doing it anyway.

I mean, my own cats will sometimes make my eyes water and my nose to stop up. But I don't mind too much. I'm glad you liked the story. My Houdini is a champion hider. His favorite is to pull open the drawers in my tall dresser by pawing at it, crawling into the drawer and then either climbing from there into the upper drawers, where he scares the ever loving crap out of me when I open them, or down to curl up at the bottom. I can usually tell by one of the drawers being slightly ajar.

Thank you for commenting! Nox would never escape! This story was based off a true life scenario when I left my two (at the time) cats with my mom while I was traveling to Denver. My male black cat was so good at hiding that my mom legit thought that he had somehow escaped and ran off somewhere and was freaking out about telling me. That evening, when he was used to eating, he came casually sauntering in the room like it was no big deal. He did that every day. My mom refused to watch him anymore after that, even though she would watch my other, non hiding cat. I think Maison and Evan will have the happy ending they deserve.

My sister is allergic to cats, so I wasn't allowed to have any growing up. We had dogs instead. Now I live on my own and have three. I think Maison will definitely be much happier away from his toxic parents and with Evan. Thank you for commenting and I'm glad you enjoyed the story.

Cats are the best. While I appreciate your idea of Evan's mother giving Maison's parents what they deserve, I think she would very much like to stay out of jail and what she gave to Maison was much better. More unconditional love. Thank you for commenting!

Two siblings, Houdini and Princess Leia. Luke Skykitten was a quarantine kitty. All are spayed/neutered, microchipped and indoor only. Also spoiled beyond belief.

So far, so good. The Creep is here but leaving me alone and a patient brought in a 4 month old hairless cat that I got to hold while she exercised, so I'm pretty darn happy. -

This lefty is pleased because The Creep isn't working today. I brought in the pepper spray my sister got me. The canister is bright pink and it looks like a toy, so hopefully I don't have to whip it out.
