    Chapter 18

There was something about the voice of "Batman" that spiked Killian's fear. Even if Killian didn't immediately recognize it. As for Gilly... It's a girl/woman thing. They always think they can make you straight, or at the least, Bi. Who trashed the windows? Zack? Todd? Gilly? "Batman?" Take a number and wait for it to be called! LOL!!!

    Hospital

I don't think that it is any of his relatives. I have to think of who would gain by doing things to Travis. Even that is a reach. I think the target is Will. And who has the most to gain by messing with Will? Claire.

    Chapter 17

There are some clues here. It cannot be any of the adults. Aunt Judy specifically said that whoever this is was someone who was or is around Killian many times. The only adult who is around Killian is Adam. At the time of Seth's murder, Adam hardly knew Killian. I don't believe that Adam would murder his own son. “Someone closer than you think. Your paths intertwined; they converge repeatedly.” From Seth's journal, the one unknown person was a "hottie." To my mind, that leaves two people who could be classified as a "hottie." Must read more!

    Chapter 13

I was hoping for only two choices. 50/50 odds, that way. Asher just got put back towards the top.

    Chapter 12

It's a clue of some sort. And the faceless man... Somehow, I think Killian saw him, and his subconscious is hiding it from him. Protecting him.

    Chapter 10

Good god! Seth and Kane's mother could have given my mother a run for her money! I didn't think that was possible!!!
  7. I am so happy you are still kickin' around! That was an epic battle. Imagine, little Ash pushing Desmond to greater heights and falling in love with him at the same time! Wonderfull!

    Chapter 7

I hate to be the bearer of bad news... In the area I live in (south central Idaho, USA), people are that powerful. I know of 6 attorneys who were arrested for possession of cocaine. Their "crime" was covered up, and after going to a rehab center, their charges were wiped. One of these fine men even became a magistrate until he finally retired. Everyone knew about this, but they were "fine" young men and pillars of the community, so no one complained. Yeah, places like what happened in this story do exist. Men are that powerful and they back each other up.

    Chapter 6

I'm almost afraid to read the next chapter. The conversation between Killian and his father is going to be anything but sane. I thought of him from the start. He is still on my list of suspects. I have, however, placed Asher at the bottom of my list.

    Chapter 13

Once Tony started walking up the road, I think we all knew where he was going! I'll not speculate on Tony's siblings. Too many ways for Mark to take that.

    Chapter 3

Coming in a bit late, but I'm reading the story, nevertheless. I can't put my finger on why, but I don't necessarily trust Mike, the Youth Minister. I'm not so sure about Zack, Jesse, or Asher. Zack and Jesse, because of their homophobic stance. Asher, because he said he would kill Seth. And, of course, Killian's Dad. I did like the way you treated the death scene. It wasn't overly gory, as a lot of writers make it. However, there is one thing that almost everyone gets wrong. Unless you know what you are doing, you will get a ton of blood all over you. I won't go into the gory details, but cutting either the left or right (or both) carotid arteries allows the heart to pump a tremendous amount of blood quickly. It goes all over.

    Chapter 6

    Thank you.

    Chapter 5

Up to this point, George's actions have been behind the scenes. I suspect you are talking about the 'leaked' stories to the press? I suppose if you have never met authoritarian administrators, it could be a bit confusing... 🧐 😁

    Chapter 3

Not rude at all. I need critiques like this if I want to grow as a writer. Thank you.

    Chapter 38

That is a question you wouldn't need to ask, if you knew any Marines... American or British.
  16. Al Norris

    Chapter 38

Yes. You really don't want to meet Marc's Marines up close and personal.

    Chapter 12

It's good to see Tony and Aaron mending the fence that they stupidly built around themselves. Now, Tony will have some decisions to make when he meets with his agent. Will he stay and work out his and Aaron's feelings towards each other, or will he fly off to Hollywood? I know what I'd like to see...

    Chapter 1

Unfortunately, it is a very human trait to judge strangers almost immediately. It comes from tens of thousands of years as viewing anything not of our tribe as hostile.

    Chapter 6

This is cowboy country, after all! There is bound to be a redneck here or there!

    Prologue

LOL! She always complained that they weren't what she thought they were. Hang in there, musicman. It gets much better... Kinda... Sorta...

    Chapter 37

It can be tricky gliding close to the slope's edge, but it is breathtaking, nonetheless! The whole thing sounded like a lot of fun.
  23. Dang man! You is older than I thought!
  24. Um, generators are heavy, bulky, and require fuel. Even if they find one of the newer solar-powered converters, they are still heavy and bulky. Fuel wouldn't be much of a problem, assuming George knew enough to procure it. Then he would need to learn to drive and use a quad runner. Of course, should the electrical grid go down... No more fresh food! Do we need to comment on the decomposing bodies? We don't know yet how far the death cloud managed to travel. So, finding someone who has survival skills is a must at this point.

    Chapter 11

Oooh! That last line got to me. I hope it got to Aaron also. Tony is interested in that house on the hill, I see. With the small talk about if Tony needs to be in the city, makes one wonder. Then there is this new story Tony is thinking about. A different genre using a non-de-plume. Sounds like he is going to get his agent onboard with the idea.
