I help to operate and maintain another gay story website. I've written a couple of what I now consider 'fluff' pieces. I've even ghostwritten a few scenes for other authors in their stories (almost always combat action scenes). I've often asked how they develop the plot, etc. Contrary to what some of the professional writers will tell us, most often the answer I get is that the characters drive the story. The characters tell the author what to write. Many of the better writers here at GA all say the same thing. If Peter's story seems to be realistic and true to life, it is because of the voices in my head tell me what to write.

I'm surprised you haven't made more mistakes (who is talking to whom) than what I've caught! I can't imagine the size of your character sheet(s).

More than likely, if she revoked George's guardianship, she would turn Pete over to her brothers. And at what point will Coach Anderson have to strike Pete from the team? Yeah, things are seeming to get more out of control.

Uncle George and I stood there in the open doorway, watching until Mitch and Bobby turned the corner and disappeared from sight. His hand had been on my shoulder the whole time, and now he squeezed it. “Well, let’s get to it. I’ve got some calls to make.” He said as he turned me around and guided me to the living room. “Peter, I know what I said earlier about calling your teammates, but I’ve rethought that and it probably isn’t such a good idea. It sounds like Bobby’s brother is alread

To the Victor go the Spoils
Al Norris commented on JamesSavik's story chapter in To the Victor go the Spoils
Yes, that particular song, (Don't Fear) The Reaper, is perfect for this chapter. I have to ask though, is there anything Tim can't do? -
Religion has always been used to control the masses. It starts at the top: Chiefs, Kings, Elders - call them what you will, and through them, it works its way down to us peasants.

Most predators are.

I keep thinking, 'Where were all these people when I was growing up?' Such is the nature of fantasies. sigh...
-
If I was 24 again, I don't think I could have denied myself the way Tim has. This is why this chapter has had no comments! Everyone else is too embarrassed to say what I just did.

Consider if the dragon was a sorcerer and the rider was also a spell caster or even better, an enchanted archer! Garnet needs to consider the combat possibilities and lower his sense of pride.

Actually, James, I'm glad that you are approaching this tale with the facts of life for gay folk. Too many writers of gay fiction like to write as if there are no consequences of indiscriminate sex. It does and it will. Enough of my preaching. I happen to like the idea that we can love more than one person and find joy in all forms of expressing that love for and to the people we have feelings for.
-
Yes, that would be the thing to look forward to. Should Tim fall... Well, he will just have to pick himself back up!

Great beginning to the story. I'm glad that I have a few chapters to catch up with!

@akascrubber, did Jamie lie to Mike? Or was it truth by omission? I know that many of us suspected something was up with Chief Inspector Mwangi but I doubt many of us were on the mark. This was a wonderful story, @lawfulneutralmage. Thank you for the ride!

The above two statements are what the majority of readers have expressed about the character. I am happy to see that this is carried over to the readers of GA.

So... Did this chapter answer most of those questions you had at the end of Chapter 3?

But where did George get all that info? Better yet, how did he know? Thanks, @Cane23. I remembered my first time with a boy and when I started reading gay stories, I got so P.O.d over the supposed 'once and done' theme so many wrote... I just had to write it the way I remembered.

I had taken my shirt off in the bathroom and walked back into the bedroom to put another one on. I noticed that Mitch was openly staring at me. Something he never did in the locker room. I could see the lust in his eyes, as he licked his lips. OK, I’m guessing about the ‘lust’ bit. Except for my brothers, there’s never been anyone in my bedroom watching me get dressed before. I don’t have anything to compare this with. I don’t know what Mitch was thinking, but his eyes said it was intense, and t

OK, I just know my fingernails are going to be ripped out by the time the next chapter is posted. Why? Because I will be slowly sliding from this cliff, clawing anything and everything, trying not to fall!

That was as sweet a look at the past and incidentally, the future, as time weaves its way through our lives.

Some of those questions will be answered in the next chapter, sometime on Friday.

@Ronyx is a fantastic author, in my opinion. While I don't always agree with the speed some of his characters 'turn about,' I understand his reasons for writing the way he does. Since I have read most of his stories on his website, I was thrilled to learn he posted here, at GA. Not sure which way I will continue to read them. At least I can post my reactions to his stories/chapters here as they occur. 🤔

A Murder Is Announced
Al Norris commented on lawfulneutralmage's story chapter in A Murder Is Announced
Despite what the media likes to portray, rifles are used in a very minute number of crimes. In a nation where over half the population owns rifles, shotguns, and various types of handguns, you would think that crime would be worse than it is. It is generally known that over 20 million AR-15 style semi-automatic firearms are owned by us civilians. Assault Rifle has a very specific definition. They are used by the military and may fire fully automatic (depending upon the selector switch). After 1986, civilians could no longer purchase such weapons. Assault Weapon is a political term and means whatever a state legislature wants it to mean. Almost always semi-automatic rifles of all types. Pistols and handguns on the other hand... Those are what our police are most often confronted with, sorry to say. Sorry to be on such a rant, but 170 million Americans never committed a firearms crime today, despite how the Media portrays things. -
With Dad, Gramps, Devin, and Mac... Perhaps an addition to the cabin is in order?
