Those DC Comics of the Flash must not be circulating anymore.

Hmm, why don't we just call her... Cruella de Vil. I admit that is what I thought I was reading at first mention of her! 🤣

A lot is going on in this chapter. I hope you all are keeping up! LOL!!! The Shards are mighty artifacts. They were given to the Loreweavers, by the old Gods, to build and power the Mortal Realm. The Dragons were supposed to protect the shards from others trying to use the power of them. Originally, two dragon races were supposed to protect each of the Shards. Of the one we are interested in, the Browns and the Sands were set to protect this Shard. The Browns decided that they knew how to utilize the power and wanted the Shard for themselves. This led to the start of the Dragon Wars and is all explained in the early chapters of Sands.

For a couple of minutes, I thought that Barry might suggest a three-some with Devin and Mac. Then I wondered how the boys would turn him down (or if they would)! Rather glad that scenario didn't play itself out. Then there are the coyotes. I thought it odd that there were only two. Then four show up. Yup, time to trim the 'herd.' Good Chapter, @Bill W.

I suppose that first times can be good or bad. At six and seven, I didn't even know what sex was. I grew up in a Mormon household. So by the time I did know what sex was, I carried around a lot of guilt for many years. The 50s and 60s were a different time. Not in any kind of good way for those of us who had to hide everything that we were. One of the reasons I joined the Marines was to try and change that part of me. It just drove me deeper into the closet.

There is another candidate from whom the laugh might have come from. Just saying...

Exactly like that. Also remember, although Olpha said, "Mythlet," they had no time to think about that statement since the spirit death of thousands of sand dragons carried by Mom's spirit death assaulted them.

Yes, Xavier and his friends need a lot more experience before they take on a High Demon, let alone a mere Demon Lord. So it's not just a lack of experience, but a lack of knowing what is going on with Kandric that scares him. Taking out other dragons doesn't scare Xavier too much. After all, he is used to fighting Browns. It is the idea that a mere halfelf taking out so many dragons, including Demons.

Several years ago, our local animal control officers found a male mountain lion habitating in an abandoned garage. They were alerted something was out there because many pets had come up missing. Just 3 years ago, I went out to take some trash to the alley's container and discovered tracks in the newly fallen snow. A mother elk and her calf had bedded under the canopy of my reloading shed. Granted we are located in the Snake River desert, but still... It happens.

What most males don't realize is that looking at yourself (fully erect) never looks as big as it actually is. That includes males who are larger than the norm. This is a common perception. There is also the fact that a truly large phallus could damage their partner, male or female.

Why? I know a few dogs that seem to understand simple commands. "Find Bailey." A command that is not too hard for a good dog, especially when reinforced with a scent. LOL! We certainly don't know that Devin didn't do that! 😲

With how this has started out, I wonder how much of your story might parallel my experience(s). Even though I'm hardly in an assisted living home, I am the 24/7 caregiver to my wife. I'm 73 and she is almost 76. I came out to her just two years ago. So while I can reminisce about all the missed opportunities, I suppose it is true that we fall in love with the person and not the gender.

There is the nice little internal conflict about Jacob's possible memories. What he wants (with Q) and what may happen with memories restored... It's not a situation I would like to face. Yet, can Jacob be sure that he would change that much? Then there's the breakfast meeting with all his (former?) bros. With everything going on, I'm beginning to wonder if Jacob, and by inference Q, maybe some sort of reconciliation between the Nave and the Skai? Then we have the last part of the chapter... Are Zac and Soullin flirting with each other? Really?

Great synopsis, Scubber. There is so much more to be revealed, and I can't say a thing! Blast!!!

Another decent chapter, Bill. Others have already expressed things I thought of, so I won't belabor those points. There is one thing that I think might be a problem. At least, for Mac. This is not just Devin's inability to adjust to being slightly smaller than others, but his insistence on being somebody else (always being taller) and having Mac be someone else (always being shorter) while being intimate. This borders on being neurotic behavior. The whole thing about "variety being the spice of life" doesn't ring true, since they are both still in the infancy of their relationship. Mac has already expressed his dislike of making love this way. Even if that expression is mostly within himself. This can easily become a major block to the relationship, especially if Mac begins to think that Devin isn't really in love with Mac, just "in love" with sex. Now add in Devin's fixation that being shorter than Mac somehow cheapens his relationship with Mac. I can't see how this bodes well in the long term. In the short term, I can see Mac getting angry and blowing up. I don't see how Devin will take Mac's anger.

Another House Visit, A Minor Issue, and Moving Days
Al Norris commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Another House Visit, A Minor Issue, and Moving Days
That was a restful and fun chapter. I especially liked the little talk(s) from and to the kids about those night-time activities. LOL! -
In several of the latest chapters of Kandric, there are many references to Sands and even some veiled references to Crags. Kyle has become fairly good at hiding his little easter eggs. There has been enough backstory information in all three stories that names like Sythranel Shunral, Malachi Battle Forge, Thane Wellaras, and Lucas Oldsurn should be a dead giveaway as to who they are and their place in the history of this world. As for the city of Lucas the Lost, well, that's already been revealed. Think about it!

Right at this moment, Kandric has only two things on his mind. Finding the rest of his students and getting his brothers back from Frexla. I'm not at all sure which of those two things is the most important. Somewhere on that list is the whereabouts and capture of his Grandfather, hoping that it might lead to his students. Somewhere on that list is the meeting with King Wyhrem. As powerful as Kandric appears to be, meeting the King of Eagleonia is enough to turn Kandric as white as a ghost. Nah, Kandric is too busy with his own stuff to worry about a young Sand Dragon, even if said dragon is a Royal and said race is supposed to be extinct!

Bounced the Paste key? - Yeah, I noticed that also.

Even so, I bet the number is unlisted and has a filter on it! Unless there was an arsonist clause, they would have to pay. There is almost always an owner-inflicted clause and that is the angle the insurance company would claim if the actual arsonist was not caught.

Goodbye Denial, Hello Acceptance
Al Norris commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Goodbye Denial, Hello Acceptance
That was such a sweet scene. I'm jealous when I read about these things. If only my own life had been like this. Unfortunately, growing up in the 50s and 60s, there was never a chance of having that kind of fulfilling life.- 26 comments

Whether or not Ms. Nosy has any stature in the community, she is the City Clerk. That alone gives her quite a bit of power, should she want to make trouble.

Things are about to get... um... interesting from here on out. Can you imagine what Tez would say if he met Syth and found out from when Syth came from? It certainly will be fun to see what it holds! Kyle hasn't written that far yet.
