  1. Leave it to Lugh to start this thread and KC to be right behind. Thank all of you so much for the Birthday wishes. Already out of like votes so will continue with them tomorrow. Um, Mark, no comment. Nephy, that was just perfect. And to everyone else, I promise I will get to the Thank yous.

    Chapter 1

Thanks for commenting Dad. Well, I wanted a name people would read and just think oh lord super girly name. Besides, I was watching Looney Tunes when I came to naming the second princess. Forgive me.
  4. Day 8 - When it comes to Christmas songs some are sweet and some not. One of the ones I simply fell in love with comes from a raunchy sort of movie but how could you not love Dolly Parton when she is singing about Christmas.
  5. Would you put it past the cat if it came to food?
  6. Wednesday Erin is recarpeting downstairs. SLEEP

    Chapter 1

I like this KC. Shows the spirit you, yourself have. Just sort of stick to it and go no matter what.
  8. Should I worry if the kid will feed them to the cat?
  9. Treasures are great, especially rare LOVER
  10. Should I ask for it again?
  11. And so means it is seven days song number 7, one song I've come to appreciate.
  12. As a kid I was in love with Karen Carpenter's voice. In fact the first 8 track tape I ever got was of their music.(Andy you aren't the only old one.) The first tape I ever got for Christmas was their Christmas album. There was a woman who could really sing. And the Carpenters made 6. Wow, getting up there quick.
  13. My father loves old musicals. One of his favorites was Meet me in St. Louis. Naturally, it is also where one of the best known and loved Christmas songs is from. Besides how wrong can you go with Judy Garland? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g4lY8Y3eoo&feature=related So Ms. Garland made 5.
  14. If you notice my avatar or know me in person you knew this song was going to end up on a count down for Christmas from me. So song number 4 is this one.
  15. As a child I only had to hear this song once and I was hooked. Thurl Ravenscroft best known as the original voice of Tony the Tiger sings this in the cartoon. My mother use to sing this whenever it came on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncMR2IDkRrs And there is Day 3.
  16. Day 2 - This song came out when we got our red doberman. Became an instant classic in my house, especially with her running around in the snow with her ears taped up looking like a little deer.
  17. Very tender chapter. I like how you keep this from just being a quick and easy story. Just keep it up.
  18. Okay Andy, I like this thread. I've got to take a little time to make a list of my family's favorite songs. And yes I know Brenda Lee. I guess I should start with her but I really know how to do this with the titles like everyone else. This is one of my favorites from Brenda Lee for the holidays. So that is Day 1!
  19. I was never happy with the original Coat of a Thousand Skins. Granted the original fairy tale was one of incest, forced marriage, promises to dead wives, and all that but I just didn't like how the story was told. I was however intrigued by the a girl trying to outwit her father and demanding gifts she thought couldn't be accomplished. Then when I began to gather the fairy tales I have recreated, one of our members, Elisabeth, stated I didn't have any story where the girl got the girl. Okay, I'll be honest, I'm a guy and simply didn't think of it. However, I have enough friends from every walk of life that I should have. So I began to look for a story I could redo and introduce that idea. Hence the creation of Alyea. Alyea is a princess who just doesn't want to get married. Her father is growing older and wants to see her married and heirs produced. When push comes to shove Alyea attempts to force her father into allowing her to chose who she marries and when. He works on getting her married now. Agreeing to a deal Alyea comes up with five tasks she feels will be impossible to complete. When things don't go as she planned, she runs from the life being forced on her. Exactly what this means to her future is unknown. Read the tale and let me know what you think.
  20. Would anyone like some of the extra mint cookies I made?

So I'm big menacing and a bone breaker? Hmmm. I guess the rest didn't notice how you wrote me into that one or who the bartender was. Oh my. Percy is growing as a person. Now someone has to come around for him to confide in. Also, the box is becoming a bone of contention, and everyone wants to know what is in it. Missing your "Mr. Too-close" and the time for Percy to spend with Max. I'm enjoying the teasing he is getting. Nice to see your characters not jumping right into bed and this being all online is forcing a new thing on Max. Enjoying this greatly KC. Can't wait for more.
  22. So Poor Percy has a case of the hard on blues. His Momma is going to be a hard one to get past. And Max knows just what it takes to keep the boy on edge. lol. Off to read the next chapter.
