    Section 6.

Revenge is a dish best served cold and I wonder what 3 months will bring. lol. Nice ending.
  2. Okay, I knew there were a few problems with Chapter 1. I went back and rewrote parts and corrected all the errors I could find. I don't claim to be perfect but I hate for my errors to mess up Charlie's world. Also Chapter 3 has now gone up. Enjoy and feel free to comment. Thank you for the support and the comments. They really do mean a lot to a writer. Also if there is a glaring problem, and it is something you don't feel comfortable stating to the forums or on a review please feel free to send me a message. I'd rather it be corrected then no one say anything to me. Thank you, Wayne
  3. Chapter 3 – A Life Saved For a moment Charlie sat on the ground stunned. However, all it took was the sight of people moving in toward the dark coated figure for Charlie to get himself into action. “Oh my God, is he dead,” gasped the horrified voice of the woman driver as she left her car and began to head back toward the man on the street. Charlie stood up and moved quickly. He could see an elderly gentleman trying to get on his knees to check on the figur
  4. Glad you want more because I have more story to tell. Don't worry about saying something smart, just say something good or bad. Lets me know people are reading and where I need to tweak and where it is good.
  5. Charlie isn't really a wimp. Chapter 3 shows he can take charge and do what needs to be done. He is just not use to doing so, but then again how many people know how strong they really are until faced with some sort of emergency.
  6. Tipdin I always thought laughter helped a family through hard times. Glad to see you gather for the same humor as well.
  7. Was curious what films families flocked to. If it is the Olsen's then it is the Olsens. I don't know though, we liked both Sister Act movies but I still have a soft spot for the first one.
  8. God Chitty Chitty, Bang Bang was so good. I loved that picture as a kid. Sound of Music too. I liked the first Sister Act better than the second one. Little Shop is a blast. I even played Mushnik at a local theater production. Its a Wonderful Life is a classic all on its own. Thanks for answering.

    Chapter 1

I am glad that the poem evoked a response from you. Word choice in poetry is much harder than in literature. You have a limited time to get your message across. It is one of the reasons I do both. Keeps my mind active and forces me to work on my word choices to truly express my meanings. Thank you so much for reading and commenting on my poem.
  10. The power words have and their affect
  11. The conversation lulled me into a false sense of security. Like music so familiar and then the beat changed The words flew across the room at me Each one was slow painful deliberate They cut like shards of glass The conversation had been such a distraction The lull of waves slapping gently against the beach The storm came from nowhere The words were violent The intent hurtful belittling They were true and false at once. The conversation was completely over The m
  12. Okay so I guess I"m grilling outside. Now that takes care of the first part of Man Day, can I go with a Bruce Willis marathon for the movies, and well the celebrating part would have to wait till I find a bf. Sigh. Guess it won't be so manly. I'll invite my friends over and just relax instead.
  13. OMG what does a Church have to do to for the KKK to make that kind of statement?!?!?
  14. I've seen topics on what was your favorite gay film, what made you cry, and a few others. It got me thinking about all the films I have. However when it comes down to favorite films in my family, and I mean my parents own them, I do, and so does my sibling, there were always a few we watched 1. The Wizard of Oz - This came on every year around Thanksgiving. You could bet that the night it was on I was going to bed late. When I got older and we owned it, first on vhs, yes I am that old, and then dvd there would be times the family just sat down and watched it together. It was something we just loved to watch. 2. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - It came on every year around Easter. All that chocolate, the ompa-lompas, the songs, and the incredible Gene Wilder. I mean this is one of those that when it comes on we call each other and watch it even if we aren't in the same state. lol. It is something that binds us together a bit. 3. March of the Wooden Soldiers. Laurel and Hardy in black and white. I remember being scared by the Boogey men and being afraid the one little pig had been eaten. But that film is a classic. So what were your family's favorites?
  15. Watership down did it for me as well but then I have a long list. The Last Unicorn, Bambi, and Dumbo did it for me as a child. I cried through Beaches, and also through Hello Again. The first real gay film to do me in though came out a while ago. - In the gloaming. Cried like a baby.
  16. OMG, you went there. lol. Actually I don't remember the name but yes they have one too. It was a discussion on logo one night.
  17. Thanks Tomas. Most of those I will try. I wish I could say I could keep to a schedule but my work schedule is rather chaotic. But most of the rest I will try to see if I can adjust when these sort of things come up again.
  18. Thanks I'll have to see if I can find that. I appreciate the advice. That might be more painful than it is worth. I think some of the others might be worth investigating for both of us. LOL. Considering how single I am, righty and lefty aren't talking to me any more and it wasn't wearing me out.
  19. Then people are going to have to find other ways to break down the barriers and be honest or in some cases stupid. lol What if, when you meet your soul mate, you can never lie to them?
  20. Colors, weather, and food can all help create moods. Glad to know that the reasons behind Charlie's shyness is understood. Means I haven't hurt my little guy by not explaining things correctly. Thanks for reading and commenting. It means a lot to me.
  21. Thank you Frostina. Glad you enjoy it. Now if I could just get my job to leave me alone for a bit I could get chapter three completed. Glad Charlie is being well received by those taking the time to read.
