Girl, how did you slip this in without me seeing? I like that I let Michael develop as a character before giving more backstory on him. I'm not a fan of dishing all the info from the start and trying to make the characters fit a mold. He's complex and I like it Thanks for reading, KC

Evil Bear, making me have to Google things that come up in some strange language that I still have no idea what it says! Michael is being Michael. He doesn't view himself as gay and those old habits are going to die hard...Just wait to see what Asher does about it! ((Who's the tease now??))

I'm going to try to keep the trial to a minimum, It has to be part of Asher's life but I don't want it to take over his life. Philip might have a trick or two up his sleeve to help out too. What can I say? Michael is being Michael...would you expect anything less? There will be action, SOON!

Old habits are hard to break and Michael still views himself as a straight man. He's acting like Michael, but I love your swimming reference. Oooh skinny dipping?? I might have to borrow that idea The trial is not going to be pretty but I also don't want it to take over the story. However it has to be addressed. I just hope that Asher is strong enough to make it through this, cause it's going to get bumpy, KC

You have lots of good points there! The trial is going to be brutal, Asher's life on display and unfortunately a lot of the justice system treats the victim as if they were on trial BUT I don't want the trial to take over the story, there's just no way of getting around it without addressing it. I'm so glad you're liking the story. There are a few chapters that are a little longer but with slowing the pace for some reason, it's shortened the chapter (also it's hard to find a nice natural breaking point) Thanks for reading, KC

I don't want the trial to take over the story, but there's no way of avoiding it. If someone was shot in real life the trial would become part of their life. I've been quizzing of our GA lawyers for law info and really hope I don't botch it up!

I wanted to make it more dramatic when the girls scattered but I didn't want shrieking women over the top! The last thing I want is to be predictable. You never know what it going to happen with these characters. Thanks so much for reading. KC

Haha! **twirl Ms. JoAnn** Asher didn't volunteer the info on his and Michael's relationship, It just kind of came flying out in the heat of the moment. Asher and Ian were both yelling and it just popped out...you know, and like 2 seconds after it's out there you want to take if back but too late. Can't be unsaid. Worse, Michael and the rest of the guests can here I'm glad you like this new chapter. I didn't know if I was going to be able to pull this week off. I would have liked a little more time to work on it but mother nature just had other plans for me this week. KC

Power is back, tv is back, internet is back....feeling kind of spoiled right now This last week has been crazy so ready for things to get back to normal. I love dragging friends and family into my stories. Even more that I can make them do whatever I want since they are at my mercy <> I haven't killed any characters in a while so they should both be afraid, LOL Thanks for reading! KC

Thanks Mann, I know the girls like to take their revenge on me in the prompts, but I didn't want to jump right into a threesome on the floor with JoAnn, Cassie and Kelly with whips and farm animals(atleast not on the first date) LOL Yes, very tense chapter. Friends have a way of opening their big mouths and sticking both feet in! I think Michael kept his cool with throwing only 1 punch, if it were me, I would have pummeled Ian. There's a lot to work out in the next chapter for sure. Kc

I feel ya, I used to have an issue with hit first-thing later when I was younger! I'm glad Michael did punch Ian 'cause he totally deserved it. Sometimes my friends and family make appearances in my stories, LOL. I always tell them to be nice and don't piss me off or I'll make them into a character (and I might kill them off) Thanks for reading! ((Shouldn't you be getting ready for a wedding? ))

“So, who’s going to be at this party tonight?” Michael asked while Asher put the finishing touches on his famous seven-layered, black beans and guacamole salad. Asher sprinkled shredded cheese over top of the dish he had promised to make for tonight. He snapped the lid in place and set the bowl in the refrigerator. “Just a few of Ian and Milo’s friends,” Asher’s words were muffled, as he spoke with his head stuck inside the fridge. “Why?” He asked, once he backed away from the chilly icebox.
