  3. Downloaded to my eReader so I'll be ready!
  4. Father come home and walks into a huge argument in progress between his wife and daughter. Both demand that he pick a side. He listens to both of them make their points. He sides with his wife. The daughter is outraged and wants to know why. Father: If you're mad at me, well, you're leaving for college in 1-2 years, but if your mother is mad at me, I can't have sex anymore and I have at least a good 5-10 years left in me.
  5. Waves from the Red Signature Room (While curled up on couch with Stellar & Mann)
  6. Thanks guys!! Dang! I hate when I run out of Likes. I'll have to wait until they refill
  7. Scotty, I think you missed the point. Kitt is right! A title isn't going to get readers to flock to a story like mindless sheep. Readers are smarter than that. Authors that excel and have engaged readers and followers and reviewers determine which authors get promoted. Showing your support for your favorite authors not only encourages great writing but gets them noticed. Anyone can nominate an author to be considered for promotion. Right now there are several newer authors with tons of talent. I'm sure a few of them will be promoted to promising very soon.
  8. want to place bets on who will be next?? I know who I'd put my money on
  9. **shakes my magic ball** I see a slew of author's getting promoted to Promising in the near future I think anyone who wants to submit an author for consideration should check out the help (?) tab. There's instructions there: https://www.gayauthors.org/story/authorhelp/faq2/2
  10. I'm a big kid now
  11. I would like to thank the academy..... ((oops, wrong speech!)) Wow, I don't know what to say. Thanks for letting me into the Big Boys Club :D I hope I don't disappoint!!
  12. I've had the pleasure of working with some really great beta readers over the last 3 years on GA: Wayne (Comicfan), Marky, JoAnn, Inthebrinkoftime, Louis. Thet give so much of their time and I can't thank them enough. Rustle isn't just my editor, but he's also a wonderful friend. I can't imagine writing without him. He's taught me so much and I learn more and get better with every new writing project. The best compliment I've gotten was from a professional editor on one of my book contracts, who wanted to know who had done my first edit run since it was very polished piece and only needed a little work to get it ready for publication.
  13. Love getting a glimpse inside so many Authors. I can't wait for the next installment
  14. Ron, one of the stories I'm working on has vampires, werewolves, zombies, and wizards. Sorry, No ghosts in this one, but some sexy guys will make an appearance. It has lots of supernatural and magic (which I love). I hope to start on a new project this summer and have something new to post by this fall.
  15. Thanks JoAnn, I'm glad to see readers like stories that aren't all sugar-coated with the promise of a happy ending. I want my stories to reflect real life, to have struggles and trials that make them grow as a person. I know some readers were very very upset with the dark nature of this story but I felt that the heartache and sorrows that Gibby endured made him a deeper character. Percy, I promise that Pour Me Another will continue. I've written 4 more chapters that are just finishing with edits and only 2 more to go. I hope to start posting again by Mid-April. It was such an emotional story I'm glad to see that it connected with readers as much as it did.
  16. Mann, When I'm coming up with a storyline I play 'what-if'. (most the time it's while I'm making my 40 minute commute to work). I try to picture a character and build on their story. I've know a lot of people with some really severe scars and trauma. I wanted to show this great character that was badly hurt but he is not broken.
