The change in weather was more a reflection of the time of year. It’s autumn and the weather can change rather suddenly, like moods too. It would be difficult to see someone you might be interested in, but first you were an ass to them, second you’re in the closet. Internal conflict with Percy, he wants a relationship but at this point he’s too scared to make anything work. Twin brothers? Hmmm? I have a twin brother…did I go there with these two??? Love can happen fast and I know this from experience. My husband and I had only meet once when he went back home, decided to turn his life upside down, break up with his current boy friend, and travel half way across the world for a guy he’d only talked to once! I’ve spoken to some who date online and the romance is very much alive. The idea for this story comes from tales of an old fashion pen-pal romance. Two star crossed lovers who fall in love without ever seeing each other like a Cyrano de Bergerac adaptation. I’m glad you like it and hope you keep with me and these guys.

I’m sorry but I would have had to say something. I love seeing couples in love. The little old couple who’ve been married for years strolling through the park or the young nervous teens with sweaty palms holding hands for the first time…I’m a romantic and I’m proud of it. I wonder if their hurtful remark was aimed from their personal insecurities at someone in general watching them kiss and they retaliated by malicious comments. In today’s society PDA is frowned upon in same sex couples. They are told to only be affectionate behind closed doors and not like everyone else in the open and they might have already experienced that in the past which prompted their remarks. They obviously didn’t know that you were supportive of them being a gay man also. You are a wonderful person Wayne! Don’t let their insecurities ruin your day.

Sorry about your power being out, our was out for 2 days too I think a lot of people on GA can relate to the anonymity of talking with someone online I know that I've opened up so much more with friends here than in my RL. Percy makes me smile, he struggling to bring his online life into his real life. We'll have to see if he can figure it out as he goes.

I haven't thought about backpacking in so long! My brother and I have done it in the US from Maryland to California/Colorado/Mexico and **gulp** yes, we were also hitchhicking too, which I would NOT recommend to anyone. The backpacking was fun but it was summertime in the late 80's early 90's the times we went. We did 3 major trips which is why I have the 3 different ending locations. Things have changed so much since then.
