The drizzle turned into a downpour, but Percy didn’t care. The icy droplets cooled his fevered skin, which was suddenly too hot for his own body. Walking along the cold empty sidewalk was refreshing. Everyone with any sense in their heads had already gone inside, seeking shelter from the storm, but not Percy. He was alone, walking down the street, without a soul around.
