  1. Not up on the European TV market, but an explorer with a Native American must be an interesting TV Series...wouldn't be a european version of "The Lone Ranger" would it? (I'm thinking not, as he was a cowboy, not an explorer)
  2. As usual, you hit the nail on the head...Mark must've been tired when he read my post.
  3. I think Dirk and Jim are an item, also, as you do Robbie... Which brings me back to all the questions that have been wriggling around in the back of my mind: What does Bridget have to do with this? (aside from being a widow of an attorney) Was her daughter Jim's ex-wife? Is Jim a widower? Did Trevor's mom fake the sinking of the Ares and run away with Bridget's daughter? Was Trevor's mom bisexual? Are Jim and Dirk bisexual? Who sent the note to Jim regarding where Trevor was? How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?
  4. Kind of a baited poll, if you ask me...the three of them being raised by 2 gay guys and a lesbian? By the time they're old enough to fool around, they're going to be alright with the ideas.
  5. I'd probably lose the damned thing...I prefer the feel of a book's pages in my hand.
  6. Just watch out for Nephylim, Gaytron, she does bite unpredictably...she claims it's only when asked, but biters are biters.
  7. Yeah, Adam, now the 'world' wants to know...
  8. We've been cursed by a lack of time, we need a 30 hour day and a 12 day week...and the computer era has created more papers piled up in our office than we wish we had... We have a vacuum you can use here.
  9. Just edit your post down to a single period, ".".
  10. Thanks, 'sky...what was really surprising though, is that Doug did NOT out Brad...after all. YAY! Hopefully this'll bring us up to speed on what Brad and Robbie have been doing with Janice and the boys since we last had Brad or Robbies POV!!!
  11. I just noticed his avatar and browsed his profiile, too...what a little fox!
  12. And she did it without having to turn red...
  13. Great! Now something that's good for me that I can enjoy, isn't and I can't!
  14. When you're done, come do mine, and I'll cook you that dinner...
  15. I have to agree somewhat, Sharon, I find that Stef can be a ruthless businessman, and is not someone to cross in that area. A little like Brad was in Be Rad! when he basically 'un-popularized' the one football player, Greg (I think?), and told him that his mother would never get into some sort of housewives gardening league or somesuch... Brad was so cute when he was ruthless!
  16. Just so you know, I started reading the CAP series with the first...which I found a bit boring...so I let it go. Then, after reading Be Rad!, and following a couple of those stories, I went back to CAP and read the series up to Be Rad!, before he came out with The Box. I actually found that I did enjoy them all, immensely, and if you don't read them, then some of the storyline is filled with holes around what happened in their past. Start with Chronicles of an Academic Predator, and read them in order--and keep a box of tissues handy!
  17. A word of caution for those of you who use GPSs like TomTom or Magellan, or any that interface with a cellphone for services like trafffic and such: Make sure your new phone is compatible with your GPS before you go upgrade! I upgraded to a BlackBerry Curve 8310, then to a 9000 Bold and neither is compatible with our TomTom OneXL! So, check with your GPS manufacturer's website for compatibility first!
  18. Does any kind of talent work for this? I'm really, really good in the kitchen! (Pictures soon, Sky, I promise!)
  19. Unless Comsie can further develop his mythos with a way to resurrect a fully healed vampire.
  20. It's not that I have fitness restrictions, per se, but don't like exercise, and also don't have the time for it. I help my husband all the time, driving, shopping, getting to and from appointments--lifting and pushing his wheelchair, helping him in and out of the car, helping him in the shower and toilet; everything. I work plenty, so I'm not afraid of the activity, it's just not the right kind--and not any time for an established workout of any kind. I don't shirk walking or using stairs by myself (unless it's more than one flight, bad knees)--even in 'Vegas I prefer to walk the strip rather than cab it; I'll drive our van only if we're pressed for time, or I don't want to desert sweat our clothes before dinner. Most of our weight gain problems can be tracked to three things, primarly: Portion sizes, food choices, lack of physical activity. All three of those without exercise can make Jack a fat boy.
  21. I've read Dom's stories, too...as have many others, you sound like the kind of top who would cement his relationship by letting his 'bottom' top him every once in a great while--just to reinforce the love that's there.
  22. The steroids are just a component of the meds...not something I'd take by choice...
  23. And the database is somewhat out of date...Henry Kissenger died, as well as a few others which haven't yet been updated.
  24. I have never been a real fan of exercise for the sake of exercising...if you move around and do enough active stuff long enough you stay fit. Problem is, a lot of us end up with sedentary lifestyles. Some of us compensate by changing our diet--I don't eat a lot of red meat, mostly chicken and fish to avoid weight gain--it isn't working now...it's time to reduce portion sizes. The key is making stuff that tastes really, really good! Also, part of it is that medication contains a steroid which, over time, has caused a rather softening side effect...if you know what I mean. Take me as I am, I still have a lot of love and emotional support and encouragement to give.
  25. On a side note, there are similar cases where things like this have happened: Back in the late '90s, there was a senior lady (I think she was 84 at the time) in Yucaipa, California, who had outlived all her relatives and, for some reason, found her bank accounts restricted from her own use. When she inquired to the bank, she was told she no longer had control of them. (??) Shortly thereafter someone sold her car, which she reported stolen, but it was never recovered, and it was discovered that someone had sold it who had also sought legal custody of the woman in order to take over her retirement funds, explaining the control issue on the bank accounts. The woman did not know the person that had taken control of her accounts and her life, and the bank officer helped her find an attorney to deal with the issue. She was no longer able to go out and play bridge four times a week as she used to. This situation was further exacerbated when the woman found that she had to rely on senior shuttle transportation to get around town (not easy in Yucaipa--retail centers are a bit spread out and up and down Yucaipa Blvd, a sloping street and California St. near the Blvd.) The senior shuttle could only pick her up three times a week and not on the weekends. They found the woman who did this to her, and the San Bernardino County DA filed several charges, all felonies. The woman who did this should still be in prison--the old lady is probably dead by now. Some advice from this: If your mailbox is on a post make sure you check it right after it is delivered, otherwise, make sure your mail is dropped inside your house, or into a locked mailbox. The old lady could have taken note of these problems but apparently the younger lady who usurped control had been checking her openly accessible mailbox before the old lady did, and was forging her signatures on documents and intercepting "Notice of Change" letters from her bank, which is how this happened. Sometimes it's not the county--sometimes it's someone out there that is just purely evil.
