  1. [Peter Griffin] Awesome... [/Peter Griffin]
  2. I'm happily not single. I had tons of plans for my single life after college, and changed them all when I met my boyfriend. Now I have tentative partner plans, that will change as we plan our careers and choose a place to live that allows marriage and is generally tolerant/accepting of boys kissing boys.
  3. The comments on that article were quite amusing. The will of the people? For the love of God (no pun intended, silly religious windbags) don't spoon feed me that bullshit. There was hardly more 50% of the votes supporting Prop 8, which by all counts means it was the will of hardly more than half the people. Going even further, it was the will of hardly more than 2% of the population's wallets. A lot of people were crying about their vote not mattering anymore, yet they forget that they were voting essentially on changing very foundation of the United States and the true meaning of a constitution, which protects minorities from exactly what Prop 8 is, a revision that makes discrimination legal. Disturbing still is the fact that many people actually believe that approving same sex marriage is also approving beastiality and child molestation. They actually believe the very obvious bullshit from those ads.
  4. You mean the stack of newspapers that was threatening to bury me for three months? I certainly do hope that NH and NJ pass equal marriage rights bills.
  5. I thought *I* was the one with bad fashion sense... I do, but sometimes some people like to one-up me.
  6. Eric will judge you to the ends of the earth. The rest of us won't!
  7. I haven't cut my hair since last October... I have to wear a hat in the car if I have the windows down LOL. I also have to shave... badly. Semester ended today and only major pieces of hygiene weren't shafted in favor of studying and doing projects. Careful what you wish for.
  8. I wish John read current news instead of old news (history majors, yeesh) so I could get the daily scoop. He lives in New England and used to live in Vermont (you can imagine how ecstatic he was when I told him Vermont passed their legislation).
  9. *headdesk* WHY HASN'T THIS SHOW BEEN CANCELLED YET?!?!?! If you want real reality TV, don't watch Fox. Watch, I think, Tru TV (can't remember). John and I watch it all the time and there's always a lot of those criminal shows, where they show real detectives solving real crimes, and they show real footage from security camera's and home videos. They also have a lot of shows of crews following cops as they nab bad guys and you see the shit show as it happens. Not to mention the non-criminal shows where they show insane home videos, like vacation vids of people getting into hilarious messes. The last time I watched Idol was my freshman, and that's because I always went out to eat with my friend Kyle, and sometimes Geoff and a few guys from our floor, to the student restaurant and they always had Idol on the big screen TV. That ended when we all got together and moved into the apartments, thank you baby Jesus.
  10. Coulda been a bit lower...
  11. My perfect boyfriend is someone who would love me no matter what I did, and who I would love no matter what he did. That said, I think we've found each other.
  12. lol Bought a car already, so I'll have to miss out on the exquisite services of the US Government.
  13. No one was around lol.
  14. We never take pictures, so I made sure to get some at the end of our 6-month anniversary weekend. I gotta say, getting a picture of you and another person is very hard to do when you can't see the screen on the camera. Took a bunch of tries and I picked this one since at least he looks good. I look kinda creepy, but the ones I looked good in had him not smiling, especially when he tried to take the pictures and was concentrating. ... and the DC sunset.
  15. I feel like stealing a certain someone and whisking him off to Vermont... it helps that he lived there for most of his life. lol
  16. The refinery was cover while the General slid the C-130 under the passenger jet. Otherwise the migs would have seen two planes. As for the mig seeing them now, did the General blow up the fishing boat yet?
  17. Shoulda made the Goats' eyes glow red. hehe
  18. Honestly, there hasn't been a good Windows OS since 2000. XP sucked and Vista sucked more. The only one that sucked more than XP and Vista was ME. I'm not talking out of my ass here, I have had them all. The only reason I'm no longer using 2000 is because of my 64-bit processors and 4 GB memory in my computers. 2000 couldn't take full advantage of them. I have XP x64 on my desktop and Vista x64 on my new laptop. My old laptop has 7 x86 Beta. Of the three, Vista is more compatible than XP with my hardware and software (far more, even). 7 on the other hand is far more stable and just as compatible. I have yet to come across any hardware or software it doesn't take full advantage of. I will wait approx. 6 months to a year after the retail release of 7 x64 for the bugs to be taken care of, then I would consider getting it for both computers. I expect it won't have many, since the x86 Beta has been completely trouble-free.
  19. I've noticed Diesel is all over the place in terms of price around me. Some stations sell it for more than 91/93 Premium, some sell it for less. It's still more than 87 Regular and 89 Plus.
  20. I've studied the Smart car. It's tiny and underpowered. That would mean great gas mileage right? Wrong. The thing gets worse mileage than a Cobalt. Some Grand Prixs get better mileage than that. Add to that the fact that they're incredibly unsafe to drive under ANY conditions, they're the worst cars in the world to have. Their size makes them great for parking... that's it. I feel bad for anyone who was suckered into buying one... a friend of mine's parents did. The thing fits in the bed of their Honda Ridgeline.
  21. That photography IS rather amazing... and not just the "Male Beauty" section.
  22. I honestly think BMW is all hype. They stopped selling cars years and sell just their name now.
  23. *bear hugs Jackie-poo* I'm looking at so many Mopars because I used to have an Intrepid and loved it. I died a little inside after the accident, but it was fixed and sold, so it's probably still out there somewhere. The 300M is the sport-luxury version of the Concorde, which is the executive version of the Intrepid. Specifically I'm looking at the 300M Special, which is the creme de la creme of that platform. As much as I want a German car, they're expensive to buy and expensive to maintain. I would probably buy an Opel if GM brings them here under the Opel name (not Saturn) but that's one of the few European makes I would buy... that and Vauxhall.
  24. I've looked at kinds of other American sedans. Another Grand Prix, both the same body style, and the recently axed body style, Dodge Charger, Chrysler 300C/Touring, Dodge Intrepid, Chrysler Concorde, Chrysler 300M, Pontiac G6, etc. Looking at a car tomorrow so we'll see.
