Playing Twilight Princess now, the reason I got the Wii U. Sill get Skyward Sword after

I just got the Wii U from Amazon. They had a bundle that was just over 300, and a used system from Gamsetop is 280 I think.

I don't think the central topic is 'at what age should kids have sex?' but more the fact that they can and are damaged by having these relationships with adults. In this particular case, highlighting the difference between the reactions when it's a male victim with an older female versus an older male with a younger female/male. Bloody murder would be screamed to the rafters. Also, to simply accept something because it's occurred before and, in some cases, will again isn't reason to simply sit back and let it be. It reminds me of my ex-wife and her philosophy on drugs, in this case pot. Her son expressed interest in it. So, rather than explain the state of things and make it off limits, she bought him some to try. My son will have sex one day and he'll be armed with all the knowledge he'll allow into his stubborn brain. That doesn't make it okay for an adult to start a relationship with him and I wouldn't sit back and let it be. Nor, do I think, most would if confronted with their own children or neighbors.

He's not actually Jude's father. Callie and Jude have different fathers. Gavin Macintosh, who plays Connor, has been interviewed a few times and comes across as a really intelligent kid. Just impressive, both he and Jude, played by Hayden Byerly.

As a foster parent who has adopted from the foster system, I have heard some horrible stories. As a mater of fact, you may have read stories about kids in foster care - but what you don't hear is the reasons they got there. For instance, we had interest in a child whose father had duct taped him at night and placed him in a dog kennel with a sock in his mouth as a matter of course. We had a child in our home whose mother duct taped her to a chair because she wouldn't hold still - and still doesn't see the problem. My own son still has fears about the police because his addicted mother and he were in a motel room when it was raided. Of course, I'm not here to defend all foster parents, either. Although I can say I thought our own screening process was fairly invasive, I have heard this is not so in other states and with other agencies/counties. In fact there was recently a story about an agency in the U.S. that is for-profit foster care. Imagine, working the system to make money off kids who can't be at home with their families. As gay parents we are pilloried by the some as unfit from the get-go. Others wonder how our child has a hope of growing up normally. I had a close family member, when told that we'd like to adopt a child who has come out as our second child, tell us they thought it would be damaging to our son if he were surrounded by gays. I politely asked how those gay kids must feel, surrounded by all those straights, then? But what brings me here now is something I just can't stomach. To be clear, there are tons and tons of kids with all kinds of damage in and out of the foster care system. While there are different ages at which people gain maturity (some never do) with reference to their interpersonal relations, they are universally placed at a disadvantage when they enter into something with an adult. It calls to mind a child we were very interested in. Slim, large glasses that gave him a bookish appearance. Smart, in AP classes. We wanted so badly to open our home to him. But his grandfather decided it was okay to have relations with him. And then his father did as well. Then he perpetuated it on his sister. This is that cycle, the angry child that can't form bonds with others in their adulthood. One of the things that frequently either gets overlooked or simply interpreted completely differently is the older female with the younger male. Frequently you'll hear older males say they wished they'd had a teacher do that to them. Some will say there's no victim, likely because we see the male as the penetrative partner and thus, in his sexual prime, he's just getting laid. This isn't the case, however. The psychological damage can be quite high and leads to intimacy issues that can last a lifetime. That's why adults like this drive me crazy - but what really pushes me over the edge is the family and friends of the victim, who sent the teacher letters of support. Really? If this were an older male with a male or female, they'd be calling for blood. Read it here. I like the judges comments.

You sure know how to yank on heartstrings.

Apparently Hayden Byerly was on twitter last night answering fans questions. Although it's always a tough call of whether or not people should ask about an actors sexuality, you know it's going to happen. Just as potentially incendiary is the actor's response, which was : No, I'm not gay. But I think Jude may be :-) It warms an old dogs heart it does.

I lost my father to cancer in 2003. AS an only child, I know exactly what you mean except that I watched him wither. We had some good conversations, then, though. My father was the master of embarrassing my mother. As a child I guess I was kind of dumb. I recall when I found out my father knew all the swear words I did, and be shocked, thinking I had this big secret. It was funny. We were in Elyria, Ohio on our way to New York to live. We'd gone down a one way street in a 24 foot U-Haul with a car attached to the back. If you tried to back up, the car wanted to jackknife. So we wind to the end of this street, and it's a dead end. My father throws the truck in park, says 'Fuck' and climbs out of the cab. I turn to my mom and said, at 12 years old, "I didn't know dad knew that word.' Unimpressed my mother said, a bit sourly, 'He knows a lot of words.' Later, he took me to my first gay bar. I'm so sorry for your loss, Myr.

I have read repeatedly, though I do not have a link to, that statistics show that using a firearm normally causes harm to bystanders or the person with the gun, rather than the person who was perpetrating a crime. That is why we see so few stories about folks that stave off others heroically or help other heroically with their firearms. If there were, I'm sure the NRA would be trumpeting them. I'm fine with people owning firearms. I do think there should be mandatory training and licensing, much like we do with cars. Because cars, at least, have the primary function of transportation, where guns are to kill, to inspire fear and intimidate.

Aww, guys, you're too nice to me. Long Day was originally intended as a short story but it was so well received I wrote more to it. Unfortunately some of the later chapters reflected some of that, but this has always been one of my all time favorite stories of my own.

I shared on Facebook one of the most fantastic scenes - the very timid Conner and Jude touching pinky fingers in the darkened theater. If I were a kid seeing that, I'd have felt so much more normal.

I LOVE this show. Unfortunately I can't remember to be in front of the TV every week, so I wait for it on Netflix. As a foster parent, I like it. As a fan of good programming I like it. I also wish I'd had this show growing up - it's so powerful and empowering for kids to see themselves on the screen.

These usually refer to Anastasia as a survivor. Nice twist. Steve Berry wrote the Romanov Prophecy or something like that - you should check it out.

I read this story and made my first contact with Cynus over this - 2013, New Year's Eve - it's still wonderful.

The Drawbacks of Being a Monster
Dabeagle commented on Cynus's story chapter in The Drawbacks of Being a Monster
Just great - what a way to tell a great story. Did I say great already? -
It's always tough to maintain a site, especially if you're a one man show. It sounds like there was a staff of sorts to help but I have to say, even being as long in the tooth as I am, I hadn't heard of them. There are a variety of reasons why a site comes and goes. Frankly, stories can flow in so quickly that a popular site may have stories slide off their 'most recent postings' rather quickly. I note on Shortbread it's very long, and yet tough to keep newer things in front of folks for very long. Also the coding for a site is repetitive - for each story. Even though GA has found a way to automate it, there is so much content that things tend to slide off the main page within about 48hours max. Great for people looking for new things to read, harder for an author that posts a short story and sees hours of work go by quickly and, possibly, lost in a sea of posts. I'm not sure what a better answer would be. I've shortened up my own listings since I don't have the volume of a place like GA, but when things get busy, I have the same issue. I mourn the loss of good stories that disappear with sites like that, though, that will go undiscovered.

Ryan has a new installment posting this weekend called 'the Muse'. It's quite sexy.

One of the nice things about Logan and Seth is it's not a standard, 'normal' or 'average' story. They are complex, fully fleshed out characters.

Originally I intended this to be a short story, but with the experience and potential I'd had from the defunct 'Baysville' project, I had opened the doors to ask others to join my characters in Sanitaria Springs. Other stories did come, shorts that focused on other characters or places and they added to the tapestry of this real life town that we were embellishing. However another came along and we meshed very well, writing near seamlessly to advance the story and then another started a whole new branch with a different age group. As I mentioned, I don't own all the stories so I'll be posting the original three from me, here. If you grow to love these guys, Cia has allowed me to post a link to the rest of the storyline. It's not all of the Sanitaria Springs stories, but they are the ones that follow these characters and the newer generation - some of which my friend Cynus has already posted here at GA. Check it out here: https://www.gayauthors.org/story/dabeagle/sanitariasprings There are link so the doghouse Facebook page as well as a page for the complete story of Alec, Sasha and the gang. Dave

More from some of my favorite characters.

Seth and Logan are two of my favorite characters that Cynus has written. Always worth reading!

I'm biased, but I loved this story the first time I read it and love it still.

Very thought provoking. For me, it's a black and white decision - you leave. A couple has the right to define the terms of their relationship - open, closed or somewhere in between. Brandon clearly takes advantage, never bringing up his indiscretions because, clearly, his other half doesn't believe in sharing. In that case, there can be no trust.
