  1. Lol, I think the commute between Texas and Scotland would be a killer
  2. Cheers Yan, I just need to learn about gardening now
  3. I've read so many books over the years it's hard to pick one that made a big impression on me. The I Inside by Alan Dean Foster awakened my love of SciFi The White Dragon/All the weyrs of Pern by Anne McCaffrey just further deepened my love of fantasy and dragons in general The Belgariad/Mallorean by David Eddings, I don't know where to start with them I tend to read them once a year. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens helped me understand that there is a possibility for change
  4. At the moment it is Marky, but we'll get that fixed.
  5. Decorating isn't my favourite thing in the world to do, but it needs doing. Once we've picked out the colour scheme we'll get a company in to do it for us. I want rid of that pink carpet as it's hideous and underneath is the original floor boards, so I'll sand them down and leave them exposed and I think it will look so much better. Hugs all
  6. Thanks Marky, snuggles is positively drooling over the shopping opportunities
  7. Thanks guys, yes the pink carpet is going to have an accident involving a skip also the kitchen is going missing I can see a few happy weekends with a sledge hammer coming up. It was an utter delight to see the guys face when we offered to write him a cheque on the spot to cover the house, he was positively drooling thinking about the commission on a quick sale ! That and we made a scene between us because he was acting like a stuffed shirt, basically it came down to Snuggle and I fighting over what we buy first, the amp or the house
  8. I'm having absolute joygasms at the moment, I've bought a house and a new amplifier. http://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/audio-visual/av-receivers-amps/rx/rx-v473_g/?mode=model I think I'm more impressed with the amp to be honest, snuggle isn't seeing it that way After getting bullied by snuggle, I have to put the link to the house up: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-16910262.html
  9. Yes, today is a good day. My email system is back to health after some serious TLC and threats of violence yesterday
  10. Nice to see you back Joe, remember one piece of the shell at a time
  11. It's easy, I've got reminders set on my phone otherwise I can go the whole day without eating. Here's a typical food day for me: Breakfast: 2 x coffee Lunch: Sandwich, or maybe some soup and a roll Dinner: Sandwich Apart from the weekends when I can spend some quality time in the kitchen, that's me for the day, and I don't normally have my dinner till about 8 at night
  12. VictoryPanda, I can sort of identify with what you've said. During my teenage years I wouldn't let any get close to me because of the feelings I had of being gay. I built a shell around myself, I knew I'd have no issues with my parents, but going to a catholic all boys school was a different matter, apart from the unlimited perving opportunities One thing I did pick up on though, don't try and be normal, there's no such thing. Just be yourself, and if someone doesn't like it, it's not your problem. Hugs to all
  13. It's been a while since I've checked this thread. Mark, I'm pleased your getting better, hopefully the nightmares will dissipate in time. KC I've not had to go through the trauma of losing my mum or dad, so I'm not going to say I understand, I don't. But hang in there, things will get better, they have to. Joe, I don't know you, but I know the illness. Hang on, every day you achieve something, just look for it to make your day that little bit better.
  14. Comsie, any idea when we'll be seeing more Moonlight ? I'm starting to go into withdrawal
  15. The thing that put's me off about Ecclestone is the ears, they're enormous !
  16. No, I think they're happy the way they are, I know Snuggle and I are
  17. All of a sudden I have the urge to get the car washed Snuggle and I are off to have an in depth discussion about the car wash technique
  18. I'm thoroughly ashamed of myself, but thoroughly unrepentant !
  19. The very idea of breakfast that isn't a cup of coffee just turns my stomach. I generally can't eat anything until I've been awake for about three hours.
  20. Lol, sorry I'm a David Tennant fan
  21. Just a little bit. I've lost track of how many times I've read the Belgariad, mallorean, elenium and tamuli
  22. There is actually a competition being run to see if a tri-corder could be produced http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-16518171
  23. Is this not just brilliant ? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-17770739 Maybe one day, we can all have our own sonic screwdrivers
  24. I learned from the greatest when it comes to dealing with woman. My dad intuitively picks up on what my mum is thinking and then agrees with her. He may possibly be the cleverest person I will ever meet
