    Chapter 4

I've just read these four chapters, and wanted to say I really liked them. It's a shame there isn't more. I hope you will finish this story at some point.
  2. I have no control over my characters. They just show up in my head, ready made, take wild journeys, argue, do stupid things, brave things, funny things... I am just along for the ride and I try and write it all down as I keep up with them. It might make me sound slightly loony, but it's great entertainment!
  3. I'm thinking of writing a (kind of) sequel to this story. How does that sound?
  4. Time for another review. I have to take back what I said earlier, I don't feel like we're that much alike anymore. Elijah is interesting (i know how you hate that word) but he is like a puzzle that I want to pick apart and with every chapter I think i come a step closer to solving it, but at the same time I get more confused because I discover new puzzles within the puzzle. I have to say that your writing is excellent and on the risk of sounding like some crazy stalker fan; I really love your writing. Can I just worship for a bit.. hehe. (I hope studying litterature will make me equally good, but I highly doubt it) Anyway, keep up the good work.
  5. I read a book once (actually I've read it several times) that had bits of song lyrics as chapter titles. That was amazing, because it gave you another way to approach the litterature. There was a lot of rock music that I started to listen to after reading that because curiosity made me find the songs. It gave a whole different dept to the journey of the main character because the music was such a big part ogf his story, and the songs added to that. Also they enhanced his psycological journey because it started out with really depressing stuff and ended up with something lighter, yet still melancholy. I really admire what that writer achieved using the chapter titles in an unconventional way. I like chapter titles, and numbers, as in both, because it helps me remember where I had to stop reading.
  6. Thanks everyone for such great suggestions. I think I will use one, or two of them. James: Personally, I don't see how a guy could do justice to Cylon 6 (I had to look it up) Definitely hot, but not on a guy. Mark: Well, since its a fictional party, don't get your hopes up. However the idea is a good one...
  7. Being completely uninterested and unimaginative when it comes to clothes and such, I would love to get the opinion of the members on this forum. I need suggestions for sexy halloween costumes for "young males". Sadly, this is not for a real life event, so there will be no posting of pictures of yours truly modelling your suggestions, but that doesn't mean that I won't appreciate your ideas. I need them for a story I am writing right now, my main charater and his best friend are going to a halloween party hosted by a well to do, gay, middle aged neighbour. The party goers will be 75% gay and 25% minor celebrities (host works in tv). So, any suggestions???
  8. This is really good. Your writing is exellent, I wish I could write like that, but I can't. I really feel a connection to Ethan so far, a lot of the things he feels and does are things I do (it was kind of unerving reading the first two chapters and recognising so much of myself in a written charater.) I will definitely read more...
  9. What Lisa said! I like this, now I have to wait for more *pout*
  10. I had to reread the first line two times after reading the second one to get the meaning/see similarities. But then I am a bit dense...

    Short Story

I really enjoyed this story. It was funny and entertaining. I enjoyed the beginning and the bad decisions as much as the heroic bean tossing.
  12. Well... it might...
  13. Happy Birthday! I hope your birthday wish come true Daniel
  14. Yes, I needed the information for a story I am writing. No, it's not a big deal, more me hoping there was some easy word to describe this so that I didn't have to go on and on about this house, because although it is important to me, it is not really important story wise....at least I think so...I haven't finished. (Sometimes my characters say and do stuff that I didn't imagine happening in the begining of a story)
  15. Thanks to all of you for your input. I do have to say that this house is not a mix of styles, but a certain type of house that there are many of, especially in certain parts of the capital. These houses are usually built around the late 1800 by rich families. We call them swiss villas, and I don't know why. I don't think it is a recognized architetural term, but I will have to use it. I wasn't really looking for the bookish term for this kind of house, more what people would call this kind of house, my fault for not explaining properly. A few more photos of houses in the same style As you can see, different, yet somehow similar.
