Q... I have never (that I recall) said they weren't related -- I put them in a series for pete's sake. Yes there are cross over scenes, and I've done my best to keep the integretiy of those scenes as well. To be quite honest, neither. I had no idea what "School Day" was going to be about until I wrote it. Just as right now I'm looking at the blank page for "Vacation Day" (the fall anthology) and going.. ideas? to my muse. I'm grabbing one piece of the puzzle, flipping it over and going "ohh pretty! that will fit here!" and so long as it keeps fitting I'll keep working it together. I'm so clearing that up soon. There is a UN-ish type galatic government with autonomous members. Of course that also means there is an anti-UN... Jozet and Val are not connected. Follow the blue ball.. see.. pretty... do not look behind the curtian.... shhhhh... hell I don't understand insteller space travel either. I gave them a couple weeks to get there. I can adjust the whole thing to give them a couple more if necessary, but I was vague on purpose. Yes, it is a little long, I'm sorry. I had hoped it would be shorter than Holy Day but it didn't work out that way. AND I cut it in half before I started edits. LOL. You didn't ask for an advanced copy. I hope you enjoy all of it.

actually no you don't. there will be at least one short story (under 10k) coming out in July/August. But I'm glad you enjoyed this one.

hey Q-man lemme see what can I say about this story.. I liked it. Parts of it were funny, but parts of it made me go huh? too. I'm not quite sure why he had to let Trev down like he did at the end... I like the fact that it's going to lead into a larger work and I understand how that works. Lord knows I've used anthologies to do that plenty in the past... good luck on the longer story. anyway... keep writing... it just gets better with practice (and you only have 15 weeks until all hell breaks loose in your life).

Ah the passage of time. Well I wanted it to seem a little sketchy to Kismet with the ship's travel and all. Otherwise it's exactly the same amount of time as is covered in Holy Day, to the day. I think at this point everyone wants to know what happened to Puck. I have a list -- Dramatis Personae I think it's called.

hey I liked what the story might have been... sighs... not sure how you're gonna take this... ok... this feels not quite there for me -- biggest suggestion: get help -- an editor who is used to short stories, a beta who reads a lot of short stories (or maybe writes them) and can really recognise one. Even if you are writing in the same universe (and with the same characters) the story has to have it's own beginning, middle, and end. Even if you leave that end wide open for more stories or set up the next one that's following... it must end. I'm not seeing the end. Now other than that... I liked this. I would like to read more about these characters in this universe. Also, if this is part of a series of stories (which I think it is at least in the same universe as another of yours) then it's polite to tell the reader and to tell them if prior reading is required/helpful/useful and where that reading might be found. Actually I've been working really hard to keep them seperate stories. The timelines do cross and criss and cross again. There might be a few little stories coming up to fill in the holes. I don't know I've not exactly decided yet. Right now I've been focused on keeping everyone moving in the same direction at the same time.

I think there is more bubble wrap in the future... I love the way you've paired two totally different personalities the way it happenes in real life so very often... makes me wonder about your S.O.... herm.

I tried to be a bit more gentle in this story than I was in Holy Day, and having a much smaller cast helped. I'm not quite sure what you mean by the mumbled voices echoing... if you would care to discuss that in the forum I would like to hear what you have to say. Soon on the next one. The offering was supposed to make you giggle. Actually there were a couple places... I hope you got a decent laugh out of a few of them. Fate/Luck/Chance... can you say sub-theme? Go back and read Monday. I dunno if they will all get back together. I guess you will just have to read and find out.

well, if things go the way I want them to you won't have such a long wait. The next one might be out in July/August to make Legends stay on track. glad you enjoyed it

heh I'm honestly not trying to confuse people! I like Kismet too, it's funny how they each have thier own personalities develop as I write them but when I start they are pretty much blank slates. I can't wait to see Puck's personality after all he's been through. Rix is a sexy beast. Then again I think all the boys are. Gads I hope the theads are coming together... I think I'm going to climax soon!
