There were two small windows either side of my bed that faced the back garden and in the mornings if the blinds were open, the sun would shine directly onto my face. I usually made sure that they were closed at night before going to bed, but that day someone had obviously come in and opened them. It was enough to wake me, but not enough to force me out of bed, so I pulled the sheet over my head and rolled onto my side. “Robbie.” When I heard my name I opened my eyes, squinting into the

Thanks, JayT. Glad you enjoyed it. I hope I didn't throw you too hard for that loop!

Thank you for your comment mg. I can't explain how encouraging it is to read a review like this. I put a lot of work into this particular story, but I wasn't sure how well it would be received. Your reaction and the comment from @wildone was exactly what I was hoping for. I didn't want to give anything away but there were a few subtle clues along the way. As you mention the narrator's discomfort over the proximity of Devan's penis. The very feminine 'pink fluffy bathrobe' and the lack of any suitable clothing in her wardrobe for Devan to borrow, were also clues. As was the fact that she needed to wake the guy on the toilet in order to have a pee. Most guys would have been able to find somewhere else to do this without too much trouble. Really pleased you enjoyed this, your comment and kind words make it all worthwhile.

Yes, Georgie (the narrator) is a bi-sexual girl. There is, of course, no direct mention of the narrator's sex in chapter one, but there are a couple of tiny clues. I was certain that everyone would just assume that it was a male, but when you read it through, as you did twice, there is no reason to make this assumption because the first person could be either sex. I find it interesting to mess a little with people's pre-conceived ideas of a character within a story. It was an idea that I've been toying with for some time, although I don't expect it to be very popular with the readers at GA. Thanks for your comment Steve.

He laughed as I hastily covered myself with the sheet. I guess it was a little too late for modesty but it was difficult for me to believe the innocent looking boy in the doorway, was the same guy who I had just spent the night with. I was a physical wreck; poisoned by alcohol, and exhausted from a wild night of sex but Devan looked as fresh as a daisy. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to feel happy that he hadn’t felt the need to leg it naked down the street after realizing his drunken mista

Thank you all for your comments and encouragement. Sorry for the delay but part two is now ready for posting!

What a wonderful thought inspiring blog. We take a lot for granted and often complain when it doesn't live up to our high expectations. I could imagine this kid walking around in awe of the facilities, which by your description a lot of people, like me, would have complained about.

I was woken by the neighbor’s dog barking; it was a good thing, at least I was at home. My mouth was parched; I was dehydrated and needed water, but as I lifted my head from the pillow the room spun three-sixty degrees and I felt sick. I hated hangovers and I had a feeling that this one was going to be severe. I could barely remember the night before. It was my brother Simon’s seventeenth birthday and he came to my place with his friends to celebrate after a predictably tame party at my parent’s

Georgie’s younger brother Simon turns up with some friends to celebrate his seventeenth birthday, but the next morning, a monumental hangover and an unexpected discovery threaten to cast a shadow over their close family bond.

I suppose the colours are important with this font considering it's a tribute to Gilbert Baker but the font would stand up on its own and there's no reason why they can't do a vector version. You're right though, they are reluctant to develop anything for multiple formats.

I like the font; it's a nice tribute to an interesting and colourful character. I prefer the original 8 coloured flag to the standard 6 colours that are always used now, but all credit to the guy for not trademarking it.

Thank you for your encouraging words Dahawk, it may not be a long time but there are still a few chapters left to go, there is a clue in the story description which everyone seems to have missed. Thanks again for following.

It tells me that there are a lot of people out there who want to read stories.

Yeah, I heard that NYC is a great place to be for Pride. One year I'll go down there, it's not as far as California.

Chapter 70 Canada Day Part 2
Dodger commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 70 Canada Day Part 2
Thank you, Clochette. It's always a pleasure to read your comments but I nearly overlooked this one. I think that most people are a little apprehensive about Don because they don't know much about him, but obviously, he's going to be crucial for Robbie's future happiness. Thanks for sticking with the story throughout. It's much appreciated. -
Sounds like a good idea, maybe I'll do that. There is also the possibility of me being lured out of the house to a bar or event in town by a friend or colleague. My record at resisting such attempts in the past has been very poor, and it isn't likely to get any better with age.

Rock and a Hard Place Chapter 1
Dodger commented on Dodger's story chapter in Rock and a Hard Place Chapter 1
This is only a short story. Most of the characters in my other stories are based, very loosely on people who I have either worked with, gone to school with, or even related to, but I'm not really sure where these two came from. Thank you for reading and commenting. -
This is interesting. I don't usually participate in polls but I couldn't resist this one. However, I can only tick one of these boxes because I'm pretty sure that there are no LGBTQ events in the immediate area where I live. The big city isn't that far away and it's quite gay-friendly there, with plenty of events but I don't plan on attending any. I have marched at pride though on a few occasions in the past in London and here and I've always had a good time. It's not something that I feel that I need to do though. Trudeau will probably grab all the headlines.

Yeah, they're smart dogs. He's certainly got the better of me, although that's probably not that difficult to do. I might need to improve my fitness a little to keep up with him though. Thanks for reading Tim.

Either I’m so far off the mark that it wasn’t worth pointing out, or I’m too close to bring attention to the comment… ;-) Haha, yes, it's one of those

Yes, even though he didn't actually come out, so to speak, he allowed himself to be discovered and it's a big weight off his shoulders. The timing works in his favour too because there's the best part of two months to go before school starts again, which gives them a little breathing space and time to adapt before taking the plunge in high school (always the biggest test). Thanks for the comment my friend, I hope you are well.

Haha. It's a side of me that I usually try to conceal but it is allowed out on occasion. Thanks for the comment and your encouraging words of support, which are always appreciated.
