  1. Georgie’s younger brother Simon turns up with some friends to celebrate his seventeenth birthday, but the next morning, a monumental hangover and an unexpected discovery threaten to cast a shadow over their close family bond.
  2. VERY GAY! and I thought I was hiding it so well!!
  3. I suppose the colours are important with this font considering it's a tribute to Gilbert Baker but the font would stand up on its own and there's no reason why they can't do a vector version. You're right though, they are reluctant to develop anything for multiple formats.
  4. I like the font; it's a nice tribute to an interesting and colourful character. I prefer the original 8 coloured flag to the standard 6 colours that are always used now, but all credit to the guy for not trademarking it.
  5. Thank you for your encouraging words Dahawk, it may not be a long time but there are still a few chapters left to go, there is a clue in the story description which everyone seems to have missed. Thanks again for following.
  6. It tells me that there are a lot of people out there who want to read stories.
  7. Yeah, I heard that NYC is a great place to be for Pride. One year I'll go down there, it's not as far as California.
  8. Thanks, Albert, your comments are always much appreciated.
  9. Thanks for sticking with it Albert and for all the comments and encouragement, which means a lot.
  10. Thank you, Clochette. It's always a pleasure to read your comments but I nearly overlooked this one. I think that most people are a little apprehensive about Don because they don't know much about him, but obviously, he's going to be crucial for Robbie's future happiness. Thanks for sticking with the story throughout. It's much appreciated.
  11. Sounds like a good idea, maybe I'll do that. There is also the possibility of me being lured out of the house to a bar or event in town by a friend or colleague. My record at resisting such attempts in the past has been very poor, and it isn't likely to get any better with age.
  12. This is only a short story. Most of the characters in my other stories are based, very loosely on people who I have either worked with, gone to school with, or even related to, but I'm not really sure where these two came from. Thank you for reading and commenting.
  13. This is interesting. I don't usually participate in polls but I couldn't resist this one. However, I can only tick one of these boxes because I'm pretty sure that there are no LGBTQ events in the immediate area where I live. The big city isn't that far away and it's quite gay-friendly there, with plenty of events but I don't plan on attending any. I have marched at pride though on a few occasions in the past in London and here and I've always had a good time. It's not something that I feel that I need to do though. Trudeau will probably grab all the headlines.

    Blog about a Dog

Yeah, they're smart dogs. He's certainly got the better of me, although that's probably not that difficult to do. I might need to improve my fitness a little to keep up with him though. Thanks for reading Tim.
  15. Either I’m so far off the mark that it wasn’t worth pointing out, or I’m too close to bring attention to the comment… ;-) Haha, yes, it's one of those
  16. Yes, even though he didn't actually come out, so to speak, he allowed himself to be discovered and it's a big weight off his shoulders. The timing works in his favour too because there's the best part of two months to go before school starts again, which gives them a little breathing space and time to adapt before taking the plunge in high school (always the biggest test). Thanks for the comment my friend, I hope you are well.
  17. Haha. It's a side of me that I usually try to conceal but it is allowed out on occasion. Thanks for the comment and your encouraging words of support, which are always appreciated.
  18. Thanks for another great comment Steve and some good points about Daniel and Don, who as you point out we haven't heard a great deal about. The paragraph with Sue, I suppose does put into perspective how far Robbie has come from the early days when he wouldn't allow Sue anywhere near him. It's taken him 6 months to get to the stage where he's beginning to see himself as a part of the family and not an outsider, but he has moved on. A little way to go yet and there are a couple of little twists before I can wrap it up. Thanks again for a great comment.
  19. Yes, you're right, Daniel has been quite distant lately and also before the accident. He has also dropped a fair number of hints to Robbie. Thank you for your comment.
  20. Thank you for your comment and your kind words and notes on the story.
  21. Interesting view. Robbie and Nicola share a lot of traits and are both quite headstrong which is one of the reasons why they clashed. I think that there's always going to be some friction between them even when they're being nice to each other. So far Nicola has been the one who has shown loyalty when the chips have been down and rushed to help Robbie when he's needed it but not the other way around yet. Without doubt. Younger brothers or sisters excel at this sport.
  22. Thanks, JayT. Will Daniel insist on having his own room now? Good point, we will have to wait and see how it plays out. Will he stand up for Robbie like he did for Nathan? If it was just a case of Robbie coming out, then almost certainly, but when all is revealed to him, he may not feel much like standing up for either of the boys.
  23. Hi SolarMaxx. I hope that you're not too hungover to read this, but I'm really pleased that you're enjoying the story and I appreciate your nice words. Thank you.
  24. I suppose Jimmy was the visitor, but there will be more coming up, considering Robbie is going to be housebound for a while. Daniel though, holds the key.
  25. Sue made us my favourite pancakes with maple syrup for a late lunch and I won a bet with Nathan over who could eat the most, but nearly choked on the last one. Trying to laugh with a mouthful of pancake and maple syrup running down my chin was difficult, but I somehow managed to survive with a healthy slap on the back and the occasional mouth to mouth. Nathan was sitting next to me; too close I think for Sue’s liking as she tried to keep a watchful eye on our antics from the kitchen. My emo
