  1. Yeah I couldn't really define the "point" either in terms of exactly when it happens what precedes it etc. However, if I can be unashamedly mushy around them then that point has been reached! Also, I can't do the whole date multiple people at the same time to increase your options thing. It requires too much brain power, logistical skills and I can't emotionally invest in any of them. Then I end up not being able to decide which one I want...
  2. Maybe it was funny, but too long for me to read!! However, there's a Whole Foods opening near me soon, I'll go in and judge for myself (at least whatever I can from the surface). I've never really bought into the whole organic/whole marketing propaganda anyway. If they're a nice shop, with reasonable prices and the right ingredients I'll buy from them. I'm sure they're all destroying our environment anyway I've only been in Whole Food once, and I all I remember is stacks of brownies, sushi and a ready to eat section. Basically, the key to me becoming lazy, not cooking, eating from there and getting fat!
  3. They're obviously still recovering!
  4. Sorry I won't be able to make it - it's Ramadan (Muslim fasting month thing) and so the restaurant will be a bit wasted on me You guys have fun though
  5. Yeah I know. I limit what they have access to as much I can - but that's really just history and bank details. They still have my emails. And even if I delete history and bank details, who knows if they actually delete it! And my blog is anonymous so there's that.
  6. I'm probably getting the PS4, but a looong time after launch. My PS3 usage is still in growth stage, still loads of games to play! On the tangential topic of privacy - big big concern for me. My information is mine, it's not for companies to use to for marketing or sales. Or even worse, I don't want my bank details ripped from some site I think the model companies are moving towards is dangerous, and if they don't sort out security properly I can see myself either not using them, giving them very minimal details or managing a lot of different skeleton accounts!
  7. I would say yes, purely because there isn't another label for them right now. IMO app and game can refer to many other things too so while they apply, they're not specific enough. Don't really have a favourite one...never really got into the casual gaming thing because my commute is too broken up/short. However, on Android and soon to be on Windows Phone 8 as well. Any recommendations folks?
  8. My reaction was exactly the same! And also, need to finish Final Fantasy XII! Whole reason I still have my PS2!
  9. Thanks for the info guys Gonna have to depend on Skyrim to tide me over - never finished it. May actually even play FFXIII-2....
  10. I tend not to think in those terms...though I get the gist of what you're saying. Thing is for me - even if it is a realistic game I'm playing (whether in terms of game setting, character relationships etc.) I'm always playing for entertainment...which is a form of escapism right? And I look for the same in the stories I read generally, unless I'm reading book for a specific reason like ideology, history etc. But then again occasionally I play games that are purely escapist like Modnations, Soul Calibur etc
  11. Will be in Africa for work all/most of August - but don't move the dates around just for me! Nobody's said no to early July yet though...*looks hopeful*
  12. Nope, he might be bisexual I've set my gaydar to "all the hot ones like man sex" it's not like my gaydar worked at all anyway, so I'm just going to live in my fantasy world haha. FishWings, I've met many an effeminate man who's turned out to be straight! It's a cultural thing for me sometimes IMO - British masculinity is not the same as Bangladeshi masculinity which is not the same as American masculinity etc etc. If that makes any sense
  13. I really want this to be out on PS3 soon!! Despite being a gamer I've never played an mmo and I'm really looking forward to an FF one! Foopy is there an official release date that you're allowed to talk about?
  14. I don't remember if I posted here before, but I'm a major foodie! I love eating all kinds of food, and after moving out from the parents I started cooking too. Right now I'm trying to master Bangladeshi cuisine, desserts and a few other favourites. Recipe below is a type of curry that's cooked in many Bangladeshi households - it was created when people started experimenting with new, imported ingredients. Chicken ketchup curry Ingredients 1 onion 1 tablespoon of garlic paste 1 tablespoon of ginger paste 6 to 7 cardamoms 4 to 5 2 cm cinnamon sticks Freshly ground black pepper, to taste Chilli powder, to taste 1.00 kg of chicken on the bone, cut into appropriate pieces 7 to 8 pieces of fresh green chilli 2.00 tablespoons of tomato ketchup Salt, to taste Method Heat some oil in a pot, chop up the onions and fry them for a few minutes on medium heat until they soften and go translucent. Transfer the onions to a bowl and set aside. In the same pot add the ginger paste, garlic paste and chilli powder and fry for 5 to 6 minutes, adding a little boiling water to the mixture now and again when it starts drying out. Add the chicken to the spice mixture along with cinnamon sticks, cardamoms, black pepper powder and salt, stirring to mix everything together thoroughly. Turn the heat down to medium low and cook the dish uncovered for 15 minutes. When it starts to dry out, add 2 cups of boiling water to the pot. Turn the heat down low and partially cover the pot and cook for a further 30 minutes, adding the onions previously set aside at the 15 minute mark. After that add the fresh chilli and continue the cooking for anther 5 to 6 minutes. Finally add the tomato ketchup and keep the dish on heat for another 5 to 6 min. Serve with rice.
  15. Cock tastes better than any of the flavoured condoms I've come across. Just my opinion
  16. You're welcome
  17. Celethiel - no back hair (phew!). TetRefine - there's nastier stuff in there if you're not careful I've never been rimmed/asked for it so it hasn't come up yet!
  18. Birmingham's good for transport links I've heard. No idea about where to stay though, apart from places like Travelodge in town.
  19. Hahaha you guys make me laugh I trim, and I personally would prefer guys who trim as well. It has to do with how much you grow really. My armpits could stop global warming if my armpit hair could absorb CO2 for example So I trim it, and I trim in places that my body is a little longer...but that probably has more to do with my neat freak tendencies hehe. I shaved once and I didn't like how it looked and it itched growing back. Not worth it. I do like how some completely shaved guys look....but it's just never been a big deal. Getting a little dirtier, do any of you shave...in there??
  20. I didn't like the advert - it felt clunky for some reason I can't really put my finger on. Also, while I think it's great that there's an "incidental" gay couple in it, it's not enough for me to go out and buy their product unless I was going to anyway. And if I was going to anyway...I may lean towards the gay friendly company. But it would be one of many factors I'd consider. Also, I've just gotten my old place and started decorating with souvenirs, art, books etc. so at the moment I'm really just falling in love with books again. You just don't get the same out of ebooks and Kindles. It would make more sense given my lifestyle, but I still can't make myself buy one.
  21. Plan sounds good. I'm in, just pick a date so I can plan my other holidays! Hehe it'll be weird finally meeting some of you in real life (but in a good way ).
  22. What I'm honestly most curious about is the new Steam Box by Valve or the Ouya. They're just so different from everything else we've gamed on so far I really want to see how they do. I'm still not convinced as to the Ouya's usefulness to full on gamer for example. And I don't know too much about the Steam Box - but wonder how is it meant to cope with newer, more demanding games? I honestly don't care about graphic much beyond this point. How much more real do you want to get? Are we trying to reach the point where graphics make video game characters look like actual human actors? That has limited appeal to me. And there are many other ways to express yourself in a video - not everything needs to be real looking. Think of Journey or Ni No Kuni. What I'd much rather have is immersion. Move/Kinect type things are a start, but eventually I want the Matrix! Also, I want video games to be recognised as art! I'm always pushing this when I'm talking to writers/painters/artists
  23. Relieved that it's gonna play second hand games! If it hadn't, I would've boycotted Sony Disappointed with the backwards compatibility thing, but it wasn't a big surprise - I've come to expect that. Also, they just want to milk us with the PSN games. I still have a working PS2 that can play all my PS1 and PS2 games, and will keep my PS3 as well I suppose. But I can see this getting too complicated with more Playstations over the years! I suppose I can worry about that later...hopefully Sony will sort out their PSN so that you can get all the old games on there and play on emulators. Or maybe everything will just be on Steam. I don't care about the price, it'll have come down by the time I buy it!! I bought my PS3 just a little over a year ago and for me the system hasn't peaked yet. So many more games to play!
  24. I agree with Ghostboy - this isn't particularly cutting edge. The technology's been around for ages. Give me a few components and some old frames and I could make one, albeit not one as refined as Google's. I do think Glass is natural progress though (unlike tablets!), but it has a long long way to go before it gets to the point where it's actually worthwhile using. Google is just trying to push the tech now - something which will hopefully one day result in it actually being usable as opposed to a gimmick (much like commercial 3D).
