  1. Eeeeeeeeeeeeew you're so olllllllllld!!! Love you anyway, have a Happy Birthday :-)
  2. Happy Birthday :-)
  3. I don't know Sharon, you know EMOtional certain boys can get. Next thursday might be too conservative of an estimate. ;-) P.S. This is one of the reasons I could never be a parent, because I would be endlessly harassing her for having a boyfriend.
  4. I think using Mardi Gras//Carnivale as a spring theme could be interesting. I also think doing an anthology on the seven deadly sins could be very interesting. But, with the good, you have to take into account also the not so good. Mardi Gras//Carnivale could be too close a throw back to masquerades and Halloween. The seven deadly sins, while interesting, could be too closely linked to religion for people to be comfortable. Anyway, that's my two cents. Hope it was at least slightly usefull.
  5. It may not be exactly what you're looking for, actually it might be completely unhelpful, but the first book that popped into my mind was "How I Learned to Snap" by Kirk Read. Amazon.com had this to say about the book: "With bold Southern humor, journalist and performer Kirk Read takes readers on a guided tour of his precocious and courageous adolescence. Recalling his years as an openly gay high school student, Read describes how he navigated the hallways with his sense of humor and dignity intact. He fondly recalls his initiations into sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll, as well as his "shy as neon" acts of rabble rousing during high school. How I Learned to Snap is a refreshingly victim-free story in which queer teenagers are creative, resilient, and ultimately heroic." At very least, I enjoyed it. I also agree with Graeme that just because he's gay doesn't mean that he has be ridiculously, flamboyantly GAY. Hopefully he'll come to terms with himself and eventually be comfortable in his own skin being himself, whoever it may be.
  6. High School Never Ends -- Bowling for Soup.
  7. ::pout:: I miss you. I know that has nothing to do with anything related your post, but I just figured I'd take the opportunity to let you know one more time that my life is boring when you're not around. All my love.
  8. Stepping off of a plane when I was 6 and meeting half of my family was basically the coolest moment of my life ever. I have other memorable ones, but nothing as awesome as that.
  9. Happy Birthday!
  10. Happy Birthday!
  11. Happy Birthday Kitty!
  12. That wins.
  13. As they say in Italy Tanti Auguri and Figli Maschii (Many Happy Wishes and Male Children!!)
  14. It's kind of funny how just this morning I had the same thoughts except reversed. The ladies that work in the same strip as I have been starting every day for the past 2 weeks or so with the same conversation about how uncharacteristically warm it's been...
  15. Precisely the reason I bought myself a messenger bag (or faggotbook as I affectionately call it). I used to either shove everything in my pockets or carry it all in a plastic bag around with me when I needed something. Now I just thorw everything into the bag. You get some flack for having a man bag, but honestly I find it super convenient to have certain every day nescessities around you at all times, like my cologne or an extra stick of deodorant (When you work 2 jobs and hop from one to the other, things like that come in super handy). It also in some ways make me more travel organized. Bag full of crap = too heavy to be comfortable. Ergo I'm forced every so often to completely clean it out which gives me the opportunity to go through what I do need and what I can get rid of (I'm a notorious collector of recipets and flyers and other crap). That way the pockets are empty, the wallet is clean, and I'm not constantly fishing through my pockets or wallet and dropping stuff. Anyway I've ranted long enough. :-)
  16. I always smile when I read your blogs. I realize that has nothing to do with the actual entry, but it needed to be said. And for the record I think everyone has that list of random stuff they are attracted to or not attracted to. I like boys with muscles (not creepy body builder muscles, but muscles none the less) which is completely out of vogue now-a-days with everyone falling head over feet for tall gumby-esque emo kids (at least that's the thing to be attracted to in my area of the world.)
  17. I missed you, you pervereted jerk. :-)
  18. "My third week of work went pretty well. Our boss wanted us to get out by 4 o'clock on Friday, but we got a big French and Italian translation job right when we were getting ready to go, and the client wanted it early next week, so we had to find translators who could do it and it took a loooong time." To bad I'm not professional and you didn't know about this 3 days ago. I speak both French and Italian. ;-)
  19. Happy Birthday, and many more. :-)
  20. The fact that you used the phrase "mind-numbing effusiveness" just made you my new favorite person. Just thought I would let you know.
  21. Happy Birthday Darling.
  22. I think the quiz was fun, but I don't think it was encompassing enough variety of American Dialects. I mean with all this talk about Y'at and Cat-A-Corner, it makes me wonder what else they left out, besides west coast. I guess I'll have to wonder later, because right now I'm fixin'a go to bed. ;-)
  23. Your Linguistic Profile: 50% General American English 35% Yankee 10% Dixie 0% Midwestern 0% Upper Midwestern What Kind of American English Do You Speak? http://www.blogthings.com/whatkindofameric...doyouspeakquiz/ Connecticut must have rubbed off. Also, two quick questions/observations: Any one else notice that none of the scores (Unless I missed one somewhere in there) add up to a hundred? And did they forget about the west coast or are they just ignoring it?
  24. Happy Birthday Xandra. :-)
  25. Happy Birthday my friend. :-)
