    i agree with some of what you said. i am also irritated at garret's easy acceptance of the situation. however, i think you're pushing it in a direction that may not be the right one. billy really only said that she was christian and wanted fidelity. that's it. for all we know, that's all she said, and billy never mentioned being in an established relationship with garret at all. is wanting a faithful mate such a horrible thing by itself? isn't that what garret was trying to be for billy? as lovely a picture as garret has painted of billy, we have to remember that we've never actually met him in the story before. all we know is that garret's in love with him, and all his descriptions of him are going to be through his love-tinted point-of-view.

    well, we can't all be as proficient in our writing as dk. the important thing is to try. or drink wine from his skull in hopes of gaining his powers...not that i was considering that...uh...hey, who else finds the string of posts commenting on the posts before them amusing? hehehehehehe. lol, btw. i don't know about that. 7 is my lucky number. i may start to get lazy in the future.

    that was what fascinated me as well. i don't necessarily do a lot of sci-fi, but i'm used to descriptions or visuals of what's happening during a space-battle. i think he's trying to portray a realistic visual of the experience for the captain and seeing the battle from the AI's perspective would defeat that. me likes.

    sleep is for the weak!!! of course i'm liking it. there's almost nothing you've written that i didn't like. you know what i was doing to pass the time while i was waiting for the update? rereading mists of fate. anyways, awaiting tuesday anxiously. keep up the great writing.

    i was actually referring to dk's incredibly detailed descriptions of ship specifications. as much as i can appreciate the importance of knowing what a ship can do/is fitted with, i tend to zone out when reading about it. back when he did it in the first "do over," i found myself skipping whole sections of the chapters in which he described the ships. it doesn't feel like story to me, so i get nothing out of it. i do the same thing with sex scenes (i know, i'm a bizarre creature). this is not a critique. it's really more of a me thing. on a lighter note, AI for his ship was an interesting touch. i wonder if it'll be like Andromeda. i always liked Andromeda. if only Kevin Sorbo hadn't f**ked it all up.

    yeah, i really don't sleep. but i got to it first. maybe it was my imagination, but it seemed like there was more dialogue in this one. and i found myself analyzing it, after that whole "gospedene" issue was brought up. i was noticing some distinct article reduction, and i wonder if that was intentional. i don't speak russian, but i know the language doesn't use articles the way english does. anyway, just a thought. another awesome chapter, and i look forward to more.

    am i the only one who checks for updates obsessively? i guess so. anyway, i'm excited. is anyone else excited? i'm really excited. it's looking really good right now. the moment they got out of the bank i was totally ready to freak. i keep thinking what if something happens before 0900?! anyway, i won't say any more. sooo excited. curse you, dk! you're way worse than dom. i loved you first, you know. shhh, tell no one.

    sweet. the first chapter came out really soon after the prologue. good thing i check compulsively. now i'm really curious just where this story is going. i wasn't really able to pick up any solid clues from reading it, though i got a couple of interesting answers to the questions i had brewing in my head from before.

    i've stayed up for laundry. then again, getting me to stay up is really easy. it's getting me to sleep that's difficult. only managed 3 hours last night. oh, and i agree about that adrien brody. his nose bothers me sometimes. i don't think he's ugly or anything. but it's like...owen wilson's nose. or james blunt's mouth. it just sort of bothers me if i focus on it too much. hm, now i feel shallow. you know what you should see? night watch. that movie was awesome. everyone should see it.
