    I very introspective day for Jon. But I think even though he has come quite a bit he still has his moments where he lacks the confidence in himself. I think Kent ks good for him in thst he's natural be just does rather than decides. I like this chapter it showed both guys in a totally different light. Also caught just the hint of Kent not really wanting to share Jon with his sister and Trevor.

    Guilt is such a horrible thing. Zol was the only one wearing a seatbelt,by the sounds of it the other two didn't have theirs on. Zupan was paralyzed, Isaac lost his leg. But looking at the three of them I think Zol was the one that walked away with the most damage, guilt can and will have more lasting damage than the other two combined. In a way it was a sad chapter but in another it was a very powerful one. Bay may only be 18 but I think he is Isaac's daybreak.

    Hmmmmm I do believe our Bay is growing up. The end of that chapter would rival a sauna. I agree with Jo Ann who would argue with a statement like that .

    You ended the chapter just as it started to look good lol. Wow his date literally just up and walked out on him...his sister has such good taste.

    That is such a powerful chapter. The very thought of someone overhearing a conversation could make such a drastic change to someone's life is beyond belief. The overwhelming sadness that brought me to tears was that the person overhearing that conversation and thus changed his life was a third grader probably 8-9 years old. The idea that the monsters under the bed were real and even the adults were scared of them was heartbreaking. Something tells me that just after reading these two chapters I will need a full box of kleenex by my hand.

    LOL sounds like two of a kind. This was a cute chapter, and I really like Jenny. Would love to have seen the look on the boyfriend when the douche got dumped.

    Interesting start to the story. I like the hints at the end draws you into the story cause you want to know what's going on.

    Sixteenth Birthdays are supposed to be memorable burning for some reason I don't think Bay will remember his for quite the same reason.

    Oh that was romantic.( glad I won't have there phone bill). It's exactly what Jon needed and a truly unique first date.

    This is such a beautifully romantic story. And it is now in my top five stories. I enjoyed your style of writing in this story so much, it brought the characters right to life for me. It was a very enjoyable nights read. I'm not sure if that is what made it so much of an impression because I could read it straight thru with only breaks for reviews or what but I really really loved it.

    I loved the fact that the family had finally managed to surprise Charlie for Christmas. I'm glad scott wasn't driving the Jaguar its bad enough in the truck :-(

    Interesting Tina and Ted are expecting which I'm not surprised was actually kinda electing that. It didn't even phase Tina that her ex boyfriend who she thought was straight as an arrow is now dating a hunky older man. Lol I don't think all excited girlfriends would. Even that easy going specially since it was just a matter of days after the breakup

    I agree with Joann its got to be Tina and Ted since they cone every year. I think they are worried for nothing at least not on Charlies end anyway but maybe Tinas though

    Sometimes when things are so important to us we can blow everything out if proportion. I loved the seen with the girls while baking, getting him to answer his own problem. Scotts explanation was so fitting and he had no problem explaining away Charlies fears. It's nice to see that even charlie is only human as well.

    You have the most beautiful way of writing that it just seems like I'm peeking in on a real conversation, these are real people not just words on paper. I don't know what would have been harder to accept the fact that your lover and companion of ten years had died or that his family didn't figure you had any right to mourn and miss him.. A day still after only ten years he came to stand by Charlie while his mom was in the hospital. I loved scott before but doubly so now.

    Guess kt just wouldn't be right for Scott not to have baggage. But whatever kt is scott doesn't want to deal with it now.

    He may not have time to cry so Mother Nature is doing it for him, but she also gave him a rainbow for a sign of hope. The Matriarch of the family may be down but she can take be out and Charlie steps up to bat.

    Now I wonder what could possibly have run thru Julies mind when she found out scott hurt his back.. And the not quite so truthfully explanation Charlie had was priceless. Loved the ending, it suited the day perfectly.

    What a beautiful chapter. Its so sad to see rick going from hauling his little brother around and teasing him to raising a hand to hit him. I wonder if he froze when he turned around cause he realized just how big and serious Scott was or whether he did see his wife standing behind Scott. Rick I think is maybe realizing just how much he may have screwed up cause Tonya doesn't strike me as a one time threat I think he will be looking at divorce papers soon if he doesn't smartening up. I don't think you ever really say how often,do Scott is other than he has some grey hair but still he must be in really good she to be able to carry Charlie into his apartment and with a broken arm to boot.

    I loved the comment the on the car. How did charlie not realize he was Gay, he knows nothing about cars and loves to shop and cook. Lmao sorry just kidding!!

    Well I think having your wife go from a "Leave it to Beaver" mom to a Xena warrior princess got Ricks attention eh? I can so see this chic 70+ mom sitting there leaning forward in her chair just waiting for Charlie to dish out all the good stuff about Scott and him. I want Barbara and Joe for parents plz.
