Well maybe not their first time... but probably their second time!
Violence doesn't fix everything, but I agree with you. Marty needed to defend himself, and Hrishi. Poor little nerd. He needs hugs.
Hahahahahaha! Thanks Jeff!
I figured I'd denied myself writing any sex scenes during the Ink Boys series, and the boys needed the release. Who can blame them?
satisfaction guaranteed!
Hopefully he'll get to the point where he's ready to tell Leon. Maybe he and Marty will get to the point where they can talk to each other a bit more...
“You’ve been playing those three transitions over and over for the last twenty minutes.”
“Longer than that,” Leon replies for me. “I feel like I’ve been hearing bits of that for weeks. What are you working on?”
I glance up from my Bobtail Resonator, the fingers of my left hand still holding an A-minor as the tune dies, and I kick my journal closed with the toe of one shoe. I had this end of the common room to myself, and I’ve been playing around with the chorus long enough that I hadn’t notice
I'm sure you can still leave comments on chapter 22... Odd.
So happy you're a fan, and that Kurt and Tahryn are still keeping you company. Thank you.
There will be a sequel, when the boys and their family are ready to share it with me. I see them pretty regularly, though Tahryn is better at coming to say hi. He seems happy, as happy as any young parent with so many responsibilities can be.
When the sequel arrives, like Born Wolf it will be available as both print and ebooks.
Televangelists beware, there's a new evil in town!
I'm glad you liked it Tim, it was the sort of happy ending Kiorl likes. And yeah, he can cope with not always being the boss in charge. Time for the panther to remember how to be a happy cat.
They do not make bets, no. gods are the fickle ones who enjoy that sort of thing. but They do like to see people happy, and They can feel some of the future, which makes talking to a pair of super-powered clairsentient empaths rather complex.
Actually, the fire site is located in a rather large park in town. But yeah, not for all the riches in the 'verse is Atoki going to go back there, even if he could.
I can't imagine Kiorl would cope well with a partner he wouldn't be able to travel with. and even if Jem is strong, there isn't a human on any planet with enough resistance to deal with Kiorl.
I'm so glad you liked it. and have fun on your northerly adventures! You never know, you might meet a friendly shifter or two, you just might not know it!
A spring story? F1? Oh gosh, my F1 knowledge is sketchy at best. hmmmm...
I take your point, but I make two additions:
1)Lahja isn't as fully in control as you suppose he is. He still has his accidents, and he's still learning magic
2)the thing which happened to make him 'click' was Kiorl. A foundation of mutual truse and respect, and suddenly the ability to understand and accept his own physical desires fixes a lot of things.
thank you.
The weeks for conversing with a priest would have been very heaving on Scripture, which is why I didn't really want to write them. The mass soul taking on the other was rather a thing to witness.
as for the sex scene.... I'm sorry! There was supposed to be one, and then I got to that moment where they were finally together and Kiorl just turned to look at me and went "fuck off, this is private" and I wasn't allowed to know anything which went on behind closed doors! I have never been so rudely told to go away by my own characters. So yeah, there was going to be delicious and interesting sex, but they decided they wanted to work it in private.
Yeah, it would have been hot. Maybe in the future they'll let us know what went on?
hahahaha! I'm so proud of you "braving the elements" to enjoy Kiorl and Lahja. Such a great image.
Thank you for your hugs and kind words, I'm so glad you've come along for the ride with us and enjoyed yourself.
what makes sense, what is easy, what is safe, what they want... these are all very interesting questions for these boys. And not all the answers match up with the right questions.
I don't think either of them really know what they want or need.
Thank you! (me too, so satisfying. Shindae reckons I'm going to try and pair them al off eventually)
Without the horror, how would we know when they'd found joy, eh?
Don't be sick on the keyboard.
Lahja is a real demon now, yes, and he's very happy. And Kiorl is happy too.
Gods aren't all narcissistic bastards, they're... hard to pin down. You'll meet some eventually I'm sure. Humans aren't lost, or useless, after all Atoki and Jem and Jahke are all human, or were once. And they are important.
Feel happy for Kiorl and Lahja? They found each other and a way in which to love each other, after all.
Kiorl lay back on his bed and shivered. He wasn’t cold, but tension and desire wound tightly along his nerves. He couldn’t stop the uncontrollable shaking in his limbs. Lahja knelt on the thick furs next to him, and traced a single fingertip from the ball of his shoulder to his elbow, then down to his wrist. Kiorl swallowed nervously as Lahja repeated the action on the inside of his other arm. His tail twitched, but before he could lash it to his arm Lahja reached out and wrapped his long finger
Of course someone wrote a whole thesis on The Wasp Factory! Why am I not surprised?
"determined to make the reader squirm all the way to understanding" might be my new favourite phrase ever.
Well, the boys haven't gone back to school yet, it could still all go horribly wrong. Keep reading.
And yes, I am English, but my editor is American. Chase calls it football on purpose, just for kicks.
