  7. living through you vicariously is like being on a slightly insane roller coaster... not quite how I would want to have that conversation either.
  8. I was alerted in my status recently to the fact that a lot of people 'go on the hunt' as it were for their gifts ahead of time to see what they got. Whilst I personally find this abominable, I know a lot of people will find me very strange for actually enjoying the process of wrapping gifts and writing gift tags with little witty hints as to the content. So what kind of person are you? Do you love to wrap presents? Come Christmas morning do you tear off the wrapping paper like a mad beast, or are you careful - even though you probably won't "save and reuse" the paper? Do you like knowing what you got before the big day, or are you in it for the surprises? To clarify before we begin - presents are not the point of Christmas, and gods know that the commercialism surrounding the holiday season is depressing as hell, but since most people give or receive gifts of some sort (even if it's just good food, alcohol, and good company: the best three things about the holidays), I thought it might be a fun discussion.

  11. There are not enough Promising Authors to tip the scales... looking at that separation of antho listings makes me kinda sad. On the other hand - still lots to read!

    Chapter 4

Clem sipped his drink and lent back with one elbow against the polished surface of the bar. The extreme chill of the ice along with the carbonated cola and sharp bourbon made him suck his teeth quickly as he looked around the club. It was hot, and the glass in his hand sweated like the bodies of the young men who writhed and danced under the flashing coloured lights. Clem couldn’t dance, had never been able to dance, and so he was happy to simply stand and watch, and try not to be caught watchin

Aww, thanks Lisa! Chase is named for Chase Rice - got spot, no one else has fogured that one yet. I know Nathan Fillion from Firefly, bit I think I'll have to go look up that show! I wish Mal got an HEA too, but I make no promises for the future.

  15. *is tempted to work out how many of those words belong to Mark Arbour* percentages and round numbers make my brain happy. all teachers love data.
  16. As an author, I'm against all but the most general of tags. They give the plot away all too often, especially if what you're writing is more than just a short one shot. I do genuinely think that story descriptions are the way to go - after all, no one 'tags' a professional published book, do they? the only author warning I have ever used were for extreme and graphic violence, and I intend to keep it that way.
  17. threesomes, open relationships, and polyamorous relationships are VERY different things. A threesome is just sex. An open relationship is a couple who decide to share. A polyamorous relationship where three people love all of each other equally and is and should be defined as a romance in the most classical sense. A poly tag would be fun, but isn't really required. After all, romance can means LOTS of things to different people, and I see no need to define it as just a certain type of relationship between two people.

    Chapter 3

thanks for the very detailed review. As to the title - I have always thought of "Ladies' Man" as having another very different meaning - a man who is good to, rather than good with, women, and understands and empthasizes with them. After all, the definition of a ladies' man you talked about can be applied almost exactly to phrase "a Man's Man" ie; a guy who is very macho, very 'blokey' and thus by association not in touch with his feminine side and also pretty promiscuous. I would hope that my meaning of the title will become clearer in future chapters.
  19. you're welcome, also, all reviews are welcome, however they come. I like chapter by chapter ones, because it means I can see people following my little trail of dog biscuits...I have a fairly large back collection for you to investigate, please do feel free to explore.

I pray my truck never dies; I'll miss Hoyt so much.I'll take that as high praise - I'm not sure this was really meant to be 'enjoyed' in the same way as most of my HEA.

Would all fan's of Nathan Fillion please stand up?I understand your comment about the sudden - but there was no wedge driven between them just Tommie's desire to go in a whole other direction with his life. and sometimes I think that sudden loss is the way it is - looking back on past relationships, you can see all the good, right up until the hurt, and it's hard to say where things started to go wrong. generally it sucks.

Anthology stories are not multi chapter stories - so this is it. Sad endings hurt, but they're good for the soul.
