  3. Sheriff Reid was a good and fair lawman, known for his integrity. When Jubal, a traveler, arrived in Bearpaw, Reid asked him many questions, causing Jubal to become tense. However, Reid’s thoroughness ensured the safety and well-being of both Jubal and Lucas, the local carpenter. Jubal, free to continue his journey to Larkspur, decided to stay in Bearpaw for a while. He wanted to train a wild horse and help Lucas build a barn or house. Although Bearpaw was peaceful, Jubal was concerned about the town’s unique religious practices, which were simpler and less corrupted than what he had experienced elsewhere. As Jubal integrated into the community, his respect for Sheriff Reid grew. The town’s tranquility and camaraderie made him feel at home. He realized that Bearpaw’s religion, though different, was based on kindness and respect, easing his worries. Jubal chose to remain in Bearpaw, contributing to the town’s prosperity. The fair and just actions of Sheriff Reid, combined with the welcoming nature of the townsfolk, had turned Bearpaw into a place where Jubal found purpose and belonging.

    Chapter 3 Bean

The bond between Lucas and Jubal indeed seems to run deeper, forged in the heat of battle and mutual respect. The way you highlighted Dinah feeding off Lucas's energy perfectly captures the vital connection between humans and their animal companions—a relationship that truly was a matter of survival back then. Jubal's resilience and resourcefulness are also commendable. Bean may not be Kema, but she surely has her own strengths. I can’t help but feel that Jubal will bring out the best in her, proving that she was indeed a worthy find. Just a great chapter so darn good!

  8. Kiss of the Vampire Vengeance Vladimir stood in the dim light of the predawn hours; his mind resolute with a plan that would change their fates forever. The sight of his ancestral home reduced to ruins and the memory of his fallen kin fueled his desire for revenge. He knew that from this moment on, their lives would be bound even more tightly together. They would travel as one, feed as one, and always carry their swords, ready to strike at any moment.

  19. It’s a beautiful and humbling prayer that reflects the cowboy's life and their connection to nature. Oh Lord, I've never lived where churches grow, I love creation better as it stood. That day You finished it so long ago and looked upon Your work and called it good. Just let me live my life as I've begun! And give me work that's open to the sky; Make me a partner of the wind and sun, And I won't ask a life that's soft or High.
  20. Aloha Dughlas how are things?
