  1. Andy must be on an odd shift at the hospital or something!
  2. And not just the dudes.
  3. I don't think people read because someone is a Promising or Signature Author - I think they become Promising and Signature because people read them! Read them, like them, review them, follow them, and support them. I know who I would put my money on to be the next wearing purple!

    Chapter 10

Fantastic as usual. Things were quiet for too long, a blow up was inevitable!

    Spiders

Orcs usually leave behind such a nasty odor too. So glad Rath had better hygiene!
  6. Well done sir. Of course that may just give Joanne more fuel for her prompts!

    Spiders

I have been known to take pics of pretty webs. I just hate the one industrious spider that builds his web between the radio antenna in my jeep and the mailbox post every damn night. Can't see it when leaving for the farm before dawn!
  8. Your brain at 2 am makes more sense than most people I know when at their best. I identify as straight since I have never felt any sort of sexual attraction to another woman, but that does not change my assertion that it is the person you are attracted to. If the feelings are there you will make it work with whatever anatomical bits are involved.

May I ask what sort of competition it was? Your initial blog sounded like martial arts to me, yet Percy was speaking of working with your horse. I didn't see some of the injuries you listed as particularly detrimental to show competition unless you are in the 4 foot classes.
  10. Sometimes a little slow is better - you can iron out the glitches along the way so there are no setbacks.
  11. LOL Where I keep my horse they are what we shovel out of the barn, altho they are also coming to mean treats for the horses as well.
  12. Currently it's "Jeep" an '09 Wrangler soft top, and yes it has the 17"wheels. Going backwards there is "Silver", a '97 Jeep Grand Cherokee that wings now drives, a mini van that got rearended three times and I sold as fast as I could when the insurance insistedon fixing 11k worth of damage the last time, then a '89 Dodge pick up and befor that a '84 Dodge Ramcharger.
  13. awww - Thank you hillj! I do what I can.
  14. LOL The left hand turn happened befor I started working with her. The wall over her desk now looks very much like you posted picture!
  15. I keep telling Sasha that not everyone reviews but that doesn't mean they don't like his stories. Thank you Dughlas for backing me up!
  16. Dang it - sooner or later I am gonna stump you T! Your turn.
  17. I work with one author who had the plot take an unplanned left hand turn and then had no idea how to bring it back to where she wanted it to go. We sorted, discussed, shuffled and created a story board that incorporated the turn much later in the story. Now its a matter of writing the additional chapters to get to the turn. Her version of the story board turned into something much more than most authors would use however. The basic outline turned into a list of chapters, each having a page of its own with notes on what had to happen to get the story where it needed to be. Those got printed out and pinned over the desk, and as ideas occurred while working on one chapter they got added to the lists so as not to get lost in the maelstrom inside her head. I am sure this would be too cumbersome a process for someone like Sasha who does well writing on the fly, but for this gal it works.
  18. I am thinking its onions fried in the resultant drippings from a couple of slices of bacon. Hubbies German grandma always did her onions, and a lot of other things, that way. There always seemed to be a mason jar of bacon drippings in the fridge for just such jobs.
  19. Very similar to mom's version - we sauteed onions and left out the peas though ( other wise dad and bro ended up picking em out and piling em on the edge of the plate) Mom also would add the gravy darkener type stuff ( there are lots of brands) that are basically caramelized veggie juice. Adds a nice flavor and it doesn't look pale on the dish.

    Why are people so stupid?

Stupidity unfortunately is forever, at least ignorance can be fixed. Even if Claire's sister was totally indiscreet, there should never have been such an uproar. A quiet word with someone on the ward who then whispered to mom would have solved the problem. Maybe the over-reacting parents needed a tension release.
  21. LOL was ensconced in solving problems at work! Sorry guys! "Do you think I made a mistake splitting his brain between the two of them?"
  22. How about Parmesan Crusted chicken? Sorry I don't have accurate measurements to give you - I cook to taste Mix about 1/4 mayo, about 1/4 c Parmesan cheese of your choice, garlic powder, salt and black pepper together. Add enough bread crumbs to make it thick and easy to spread. Spread onto chicken breasts or cutlets that have been patted dry. ( It sticks better) Place on baking sheet and into a 350*F(177*C) oven for approximately 20 minutes. The surface should be a pretty golden brown and the chicken firm but still moist. Cooking time will vary based on how thick the pieces are. These amounts will crust three breasts sliced into 6 thinner pieces or pounded out to the desired thickness.
  23. and it doesn't work and play well with others! Had to get a newer printer because my perfectly fine old printer doesn't have an appropriate drive software update.
  24. Sounds like exactly what we all went thru with '95, & '98
