  1. Yep! Your turn wolf!
  2. As the penalties for serving underage drinkers stiffen, you may never be free of being proofed. I was shopping while camping in a state where beer and hard ciders are available in grocery stores and picked up a pack for around the fire. At 50 I was proofed because it was store policy to check EVERY customers id before selling alcohol. Grey haired me looked at the guy and asked "REALLY!?" I had run in leaving my purse in the car and had to call outside for my husband to bring my ID in. I think the vast majority of kids get wasted first night everywhere they go - college, Italy on exchange, even changing dorms sometimes. I can honestly say I do not think I know a single college age kid who hasn't done that at least once thru their university years. I am sure there may be some around, but I haven't met any.
  3. "Computer, define 'dancing'."
  4. Wolf, your head is way too crowded a place!

    Chapter 19

Unusual I know but I have to agree with Tim as well - study and living over a club just don't sound mutually beneficial to me. I love when people look at Will and see "kid" then he proceeds to show them just how "not a kid" he can be at times. Do I hear that roller coaster click click clicking up the slope? I enjoyed the chapter thoroughly. Thank you.
  6. Man of Steel - the remake/revamp of the Superman saga's
  7. In a review, Mistyblue said: wasn't Kurt a freak of nature occurance that none of the packs around had ever heard of happening before? Species evolve, things change genetically from generation to generation, and what may be an aberation now may be the wave of the future. It has been seen time and again thru history. The transformation from monkey to pre-historic man, the darkening in coloring of the salt and pepper moth during the early years of the industrial revolution, just to name a couple off the top of my head. Why would a were society be immune to change? The first to change is always considered a "freak of nature". Who is to say 50 or 100 yrs from now four legged births don't outnumber the two legged?
  8. I am thinking the smartphone will eventually replace the tablet as tech advances. While TV and Radio seem already obsolete, I have yet to see a replacement for the car radio, so radio has to stay, if for no other reason to get the local traffic reports that explain why I am sitting still on a major highway. The PC will never be replaced unless they can upgrade things to the point of writing code on smaller devices.(Not that I actually understand what "writing code" actually involves, but I don't see it happening on a smartphone in the foreseeable future.)
  9. I was thinking "HEY! That's mine!"
  10. I think I got my matchings screwed up for this round, but if I get REALLY lucky I might just survive.

    Onesie

Doesn't everyone have one person like grandpa Leroy in their lives? The ones who seem to like the taste of shoe leather? Lovely start.

    PSA's

Can't really blame them - recouping what they lost as a treatment for heart disease and then going on to pad the bank account! Actually few surgeons will recommend double mastectomy as a preventative. Even after a biopsy confirmed a diagnosis of breast cancer my surgeon did what is called a lumpectomy. I knew that there was a possibility I would awake from the anesthetic having had the entire breast removed, but awoke to nothing more than a small incision and a dent. The treatment is to remove the affected tissue, sometimes up to the entire breast, as well as some of the lymph nodes. That is sometimes followed by chemotherapy depending on the pathology results and those of several other types of testing to conclude the probability of recurrence, and is almost always followed by radiation therapy. Breast cancer in men may be very rare, but when it happens it frequently goes misdiagnosed until it is too late. What man does a self exam or goes for regular mammograms?
  13. Oh yes! Amunet is quite an interesting character! ( Did I spell that right? I am not near my notes!)
  14. Shit kickers usually went with western boots where I was hanging in that time frame. Construction boots were called boondockers, or sometimes just "work boots" but Matt is very right - those that called their boots shit kickers got very upset if you called them anything else!

    Chapter 18

While now having Robbie's rings may be healing in the long run, I can't help but think this is going to set off one last set of loops on the roller coaster that was Brad/Robbie. I don't see how Brad is going to avoid breaking down once he is alone, especially if he goes back to Jeanine's condo in Tribeca as the family has been doing lately when in NYC. Takes a great author to make a chapter terrifically emotional and yet relatively low drama. My hat's off to you sir! Thank you.
  16. In a review today Sasha said: Reply from Sasha Distan (author) My mother's worst fear had come true: I have started a cult! I am the proud first member! Now all you little cultists gather round!
  17. Yep! Your turn Andy.
  18. How about this one? "Is that crazy enough for you? Want me to take a shit on the floor?"
  19. Ok ok, I was hanging back because of my extensive western backround watching with mom as a kid, but it's time to give in and answer. It's from 1968's "Once Upon a Time in the West"
  20. LOL of course most will be unanswered - He hasn't even written it yet! But I know from personal experience that a silly little comment or question can have a big effect on Sasha's plots, and I love it when discussions get going, so don't be strangers!
  21. In reference to the suicide of the high school principal after having been one of the rescued, hh5 said There is much more to something like this than social responsibility issues, and you can't guess what survivor guilt will do in every case.
  22. That's what I was thinking - teens remade Star-Trek
  23. It's also a great place to make friends! Welcome.
  24. I know I am a bit early, but I want this up when Sasha wakes in the morning, and that's 6 hours ahead of my alarm clock! Happy Birthday Sasha May your day be filled with love and happiness!
