  1. Sounds nice. How old is your daughter?
  2. Thanks! How are you?
  3. Yeah. Yesterday sucked, lol Thankfully, they're good at both ploughing and gritting here. So in spite of record snow fall, people have been going places. EDIT: I mean, I would have loved to have snow days when I was a kid, but that never happened, lol!
  4. Not so different from Norway, really. We've had like a metre of snow the past couple of weeks. Today it's raining and the snow is falling off the roof. Monday it's gonna get cold and eeeeeverything will freeze.
  5. Often happens with eggy things. Ooh, hot cider... Would be so tasty right now, but I have no cider. Boyfriend made me a ginger infusion for my stomach, though. Emotionally hungover today, if that's even a thing.
  6. Yay, soup! Sounds tasty.

He is indeed too pure for this world. Glad you liked the chapter even if it was hard to read.
  8. Don't be silly, you are my friends.
  9. Both sound super tasty! I put peanuts in mine sometimes. I have a friend who's nuts(!) about peanuts and chocolate, so for her birthday one time I made a layer cake using those brownies for the cake part, and I made peanut butter buttercream to go between the layers, coffee-chocolate buttercream frosting, and decorated it with peanuts. It was very tasty, but nobody managed to finish a slice. Should have gone with two layers instead of three. Brownies are like the only thing I know how to bake, so I use them for everything.
  10. This is the recipe I use. Except I used dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate for the chunks, so it's a bit darker. Been making them for years.
  11. I baked brownies today, for no particular reason, so I'm not gonna judge anyone for eating two helpings of anything, lol!
  12. Good idea. I've been editing, myself. EDIT: Also, seafood Alfredo is yum!
  13. Thank you so much, Jamie. That's a beautiful photo. He had a lovely smile. I'm so sorry for your loss. We're never prepared for things like this, as much as we may think we are, but we get through it as best we can. I know he loved you very, very much. And hey, if you'd like to talk... I know I'm a stranger to you, but if there's anything at all I can do from halfway around the world, let me know.
  14. Hey you! Thanks. How's your Saturday?
  15. I keep hearing the snow sliding off the roof now that it's warmer and raining... Glad I'm not out there.
  16. Thanks! Hi! She's sadly in town on a far less pleasant business. Her grandfather just passed away, but she took the time to come see me. And my cat. We used to house share. Honestly, I think the cat is a bigger deal than me. Carryout sounds nice. Boyfriend and I has spaghetti.
  17. I have a friend who's a folk singer who, after he retired (he was a nurse), started visiting senior centres and nursing homes to play and sing songs with them. Been thinking it would be nice to do something similar.
  18. Got any plans once he does? I had a friend over for lunch. It was nice to see her, as I don't get to spend much time with her at the moment since she currently lives in Dubai.
  19. Better than the opposite, that's for sure.
  20. Thank you. How are you today?
  21. Been better, tbh, but my day is improving.
  22. Hi. Can I hang out in here for a bit?
