  1. We had Chinese, too! Well, ish. Beef stirfry, with a sauce made with beef broth, soy sauce, and Chinese five spice. It was tasty.
  2. Looks really great on my PC as well, and I have a few texture mods, plus SMIM, which overhauls a lot of the graphics to improve 3D models for things like ropes, signs, barrels, furniture, braziers, rocks and ice, and so on, as well as turning some previously 2D objects into 3D, such as certain chains. It's gorgeous.
  3. True. For a lot of other things as well... If someone tells you you're worthless it's much harder to believe you're not than the other way around. You can have loads of people telling you you're wonderful, but if you've been taught to believe it you'll keep thinking you're trash. Not a good feeling.
  4. It's snowing. Again. I can't recall us having this much snow at once in years. I really don't want to go out in it (thankfully, I won't have to either; boyfriend's taking care of that stuff while I'm sick), but at least it looks pretty.
  5. I'm really sorry to hear that, @MacGreg. That's awful.
  6. I dunno, I know a lot of young females who'd love to look at a male gay couple kissing... Though it could distract from the music.
  7. God, I loved those! So good. For those who haven't seen: And:
  8. You know what, I didn't notice that, but I actually think you're right. Yay, lesbians!
  9. Lol! Well, I'm sure with your help they'll improve. My mum teaches primary school.
  10. Yeah, I've heard nothing but bad things from anyone who's even remotely familiar with the subject, or who cares about good literature and good erotica, for that matter. I mean, it started as Twilight fan fiction...
  11. Given the subject matter, it’s possible that the cuddling couples were meant to be ironic. In which case I get it. Can I just say that that other guy is a terrible live singer, though? Like, compare the two. Listen to Troye’s flawless, gorgeous voice, and then that shaky voice the other guy has. Typical recording artist who can’t handle singing live...
  12. Lol! Are you a teacher or something? And thanks. I’ve been drinking lots of tea, keeping hydrated with lots of water, and trying to eat healthy foods. Hoping it’ll help.
  13. Right? I also recall a lot of anger from the BDSM community when Fifty Shades came out, with a lot of people worried that bad ‘Doms’ would prey on people who didn’t know better because they thought the kind of toxic relationship portrayed in the book was what it’s supposed to be like (haven’t read it myself, felt like I didn’t have to after that). My local sex shop carries merch from the movie and I’m like, hell no, like I’d ever give money to that franchise for a sub-par sex toy...
  14. We all have days like that sometimes.
  15. I randomly came across a post in a BDSM subredit a while back, where a guy was asking advice about something or other regarding his subs (can’t recall what). He lived with two of them. Two girls. Thing is, the younger of the two was only sixteen when they started, a couple of years older at the time of writing, and he was in his late twenties. I remember thinking, that doesn’t seem quite right. And the more he wrote, the less responsible he seemed, like the whole thing was just about his own gratification and not about the welfare of his subs at all. Most of the people who replied to him seemed to feel the same. Made me realise how many dangerous people there really are out there... He called himself a Dom, but in reality he was just a predator. I felt awful for his subs, neither of whom had been in D/s relationships before and didn’t know any better.
  16. I’d never heard or read the whole thing. Thank you, tim. Hope your day improves.
  17. Thanks, tim. Boyfriend’s cold lasted over three weeks, and he’s fine now. I definitely have the same one. I’m considering doctor, but honestly I think the problem is that I keep going out and doing things and don’t get the rest my body needs to get well again. So I’ll try this resting thing for the rest of the week, and if I don’t get better I’ll do the doctor thing. Thankfully, Internet hugs are not contagious.
  18. Morning, DiC! Still not feeling great. Cold still going strong, unfortunately, and my cough appears to have moved down into my chest, which is not much fun. Sticking with my resting at home scheme for the rest of the week. That’s a great word, @Mikiesboy, and a good quote as well.
  19. Goodnight, Mike. Thanks for the nice chat on your blog post. I’m probably heading to bed in a minute, too. Getting sleepy, and it’s late. Night, all!
  20. So, I finished watching season one of Sex Education on Netflix. I loved it so much. It’s about a teenaged boy whose mother is a sex therapist. While he himself is utterly inexperienced, by some fluke it turns out that he shares his mother’s talent for therapy and sex advice, and he ends up running a ‘sex clinic’ where he helps students at school in return for a modest fee. Hilarity ensues, along with a lot of interesting drama. The show deals with bullying, sex (duh), prejudice, first loves, and a host of other topics. There are seveal things about it that are truly wonderful, but I’m gonna list a couple. It has some absolutely amazing characters. From Asa Butterfield’s portrayal of the main character Otis, to Gillian Anderson as his sex therapist mum, to the character of Eric, Otis’s closest friend (who is wonderfully and unapologetically gay, and not the only LGBTQ character in the series), there are just so many great people. And while the show is funny, not one of these people lack depth, even if they’re initially portrayed that way. They’re all flawed. They all have their shit to deal with. It’s not all comedy. There were several points at which I was close to tears. Style-wise, it’s just really interesting. The creators of the show have intentionally included a number of anachronisms that at first seem jarring but actually kind of draw you in, in the same way as the absurdity of some of the humour. The show is set in the present day, but clothes, interior decoration, and a lot of other things are very 70s in style. There are no modern cars, they all look like they’re early nineties or older. The main characters listen to vinyl records. There is practically no contemporary pop music. It’s just really nicely packaged and feels quite unique. Boyfriend said it’s like someone was inside my head. Kind of feels that way, given how much I loved it. If they had it would have been much gayer, though. I missed trans characters, though there was one who appeared very androgynous and may possibly have been genderqueer. There’s another season in the works and I can’t wait. I really highly recommend it. I mean, it’s probably not for everyone, but give it a chance at least.

  22. By the way, if you ever want to get back into it, Skyrim Special Edition has mods on the XBox, too.
  23. Lurkers gonna lurk? Okay, so maybe not lurking. Just a bit passive, then.
