  1. My oldest online published stories are from when I was 14. They're still floating around out there... Under a pen name I no longer use. And I will carry the secret of that pen name to my grave, lol!
  2. Dude, anyone who can use a computer can submit stuff to Nifty.
  3. Wow, that sounds pretty advanced. I did a little bit of fairly basic physics as part of the sound production degree I just quit. Really simple stuff for Electronics, just electrical currents and so on. Then there were Acoustics, calculating reflection and absorption of sound waves and so on. I always sucked at Maths, so not my strongest suit, lol!
  4. No. They do not.
  5. It was a dark moment in my birth country's history. We do not talk about it.
  6. Education is important! (said the guy who just quit his degree...) What do you study? Also, sorry about your straight boy crush.
  7. ...napping in my chest binder before may not have been the best idea ever. Ow.
  8. Weekend at last? Have a good one, Mac.
  9. Me too, kinda. I was posting an original story to AO3 and a reader recommended I go to GA. So I did. I've been writing fanfic for 16 years. Maybe you should write some of your own.
  10. Hi, Drew! How are you?
  11. Most of the time, yup. Pretty much. That and a bit of romance. With so much queerbaiting in popular TV shows, can you blame us, though?
  12. I like honest fanfic writers: 'I really just wanted to write them banging, okay?' Yup, that is very okay.
  13. So many yummy foods! We had grilled chicken with cherry compote and rice. Hope you feel better!
  14. This is perfectly true, and they may yet learn. Although, they won't learn anything unless someone tells them. I hear ya about the journey, Gary. I've quoted this all over the place before, but Gene Wolf once said to Neil Gaiman, when Neil told him he thought he'd finally figured out how to write a novel (paraphrased), 'You never learn how to write a novel. You only learn how to write the novel you're on.' Always a journey, and we are always learning.
  15. Or 4) All of the above.
  16. So off-putting when this happens, imo. Goes for all age groups. People don't talk like that!
  17. Well, 3 days off is nice, even if it doesn’t all come at once.
  18. That’s beautiful. Thank you! ❤️
  19. I think so. Gonna contact my caseworker at social services. He’s said he might be able to help me find something.
  20. Learning how to function a little better’s a good start. Then gonna look for some work. Might be able to find a sound internship somewhere, that would be great.
  21. Not too bad, thanks. Did the quit school thing, went shopping, had a tasty dinner, and now we're watching a silly movie, so all good.
  22. It's true. They used to think it was the other way around, that we were ginger because we abducted people from Britain and Ireland, but as it turns out it's probably the opposite.
  23. Hi, @MacGreg. How are you today?
  24. Enjoy your shower! We had a cherry chicken thing with rice. It was tasty.
