I try hard not to judge those who decide to let their life end. It is not easy for us who remain to deal with such a self-centered decision. We so want to be a part of the decision, to have our say in the matter. I do know this that grief is a fickle companion. Sometimes, like the fog, it creeps in on little cat paws and can be almost comforting. At other times, it is like a hard punch to the gut, sucking the wind right out of you and knocking you to your knees. I know this too, it wouldn't hurt so much if we didn't care so much for the ones we love. Thank you for sharing your story with us.
