I think Desmond would have to be careful. There is a theory that if one went back in time and killed someone, accidently or otherwise, the act could significantly alter the future. The newly deceased "future" children could instantly cease to exist, along with their children's children and any or all of their accomplishments. If you went back in time and killed yourself as a child, would you cease to exist in the future? There is probably another theory that says the timeline of the past is not alterable. You would not be able to go back in time and kill someone. They would re-appear or something else would prevent the act. Which theory is correct?

In one story they need to all get together with their various abilities and get rid of Reagan and the other one whose name escapes me at the moment. Just because they are general troublemakers! 😁 😁

What was the purpose of being attuned to the mirror, since Desmond wasn't? Given anything to do with Magda was dangerous I'm surprised Gabriel let Desmond go without him. Did Raven get a blood transfusion?

Perhaps not in this book but I expect interesting times ahead when Katrena, Damien and Jett meet up with Julian again. Why would Julian be PO'd to have to renew his drivers licence? Can't be for ID since everyone knows who he is, and since no one would dare pull him over he might just as well drive without a license.... 😀 😀

I have a question about these worlds. Weird one I know - but nevertheless - if you went to yet another parallel world is there a chance there is another version of Paul living there? (And yes, I too hope Jett is OK).
-
That was my thought too. But I was thinking brain damage and a coma. Bringing someone back from the dead is an entirely different thing.

It's interesting one of the tags for this story is bisexual. I thought it was maybe a reference to Damien when he grows up. Possibly not.

Perhaps the answer to my question in Chapter 19 is the first lock is the hardest to break. And thus the title.
-
😀 OK. I was still expecting Jett to pop up somewhere and possibly be pissed. Some observations: As the mother of a child who can do it it's a good thing Katrena can resist compulsion/suggestion. Otherwise a kid would soon be ruling the household and that can't be a good thing. A Dad with a strong ability would help control things as well 😀. I'm still puzzling on the title "The First Lock". So far we've seen what was said to be a third locking and a second locking. It seems the "first" lock has some meaning. Anyone have thoughts on it?

I don't understand the "Jett took his revenge the minute she fell asleep, because suddenly, she was back in her old world, three months after Jett and she got together." Line. Revenge against who? Katrena?? Julian?? Jonas??

I wonder if Jett is busy tracking down the Wizard. 😁

Salix Babylonica - 13 - 1:53 PM

Well it appears to me she killed Jake. For the other, I am looking at where Clay is. But I am always wrong with these things ! (I really have trouble quoting. Need a practice area.) -

Well Natalie did one. I don't think Nats did both. -
The Lost Souls in the Fishbowl
rockycs commented on jkwsquirrel's story chapter in The Lost Souls in the Fishbowl
Well if it can become "Pastor Nate Stevens" it's probably not outside the realms of possibility that that is followed by "and his husband Dustin" ! -
With all this talk of suicide I have a real concern about Liam.

Something recently tweaked my mind to "whatever happened to that story I was following?" Should I give up on this one? Anyone have any info? Sometimes I feel I should just not start anything on GA that does not have a "Completed" status.

TC2 - Chapter 7: Retribution
rockycs commented on Brayon's story chapter in TC2 - Chapter 7: Retribution
A technical comment if that's OK. My understanding is child support is the result of a court order of a monthly amount set by the court. Failure to pay the ordered amount results in back child support. How back child support came about here is a puzzle since Adam did not know of Rob's existence so presumably didn't fail to pay any ordered support. The house issue is a puzzle too. Assuming that under the will the estate was left to Rob, it's his house. If the will required the house to be sold and the proceeds added to the state, then it would be up to the Executor to sell it after Rob's personal things (potentially all the contents) were removed. Why was Adam required to buy it? I did enjoy the story and look forward to the next phase! -
No problem. Being born in 1949 it is definitely an era I lived through. The ending, and the Vietnamese people who worked with the US but were unfortunately left behind, was truly sad at the time. Actually, I prefer the 1950's to the 2010's.

Actually if you Google it about 30,000 American draft dodgers moved to Canada and about 30,000 Canadians volunteered to fight in Southeast Asia. I understand opinion on the war is varied, but as many Canadians likely didn't make it back to their families their participation shouldn't be trivialized. http://www.cbc.ca/radio/rewind/the-vietnam-war-canada-s-role-part-one-1.3038110

Well, am I the odd man out??? I think they are all, to a degree, likeable characters except for the Preach. None of them are perfect and none are saints - just like real life. I doubt I am alone since there are still 60 odd people following the saga. As for growth - of course there has been growth . Just go back to the beginning and read a few chapters about the 16 year olds who are acting like 6 year olds. I will admit there is still not a lot of "adultness" going on. Even among the supposed Adults. There is anger and regrets on all sides at the moment. Maybe with a bit more "growth" things will take a turn for the better. I do think Brett needs to get back with his music for a bit.

Correct. I was merely noting how sometimes story plots can unexpectedly mirror real life. The similarities: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/mcarthur-man-restraints-arrest-1.4511175

Don't forget the crumpled paper from the back of the drawer that is sitting in a pocket somewhere. I find the serial killer track a bit eerie given the current goings on in Toronto, right down to the kink. Serial killer arrested. Remains of six guys found so far who disappeared from the Gay Village area. Overtones of kink. When the cops broke in to make the arrest, potential victim number x tied to the bed.

Oh God... What I meant was the full blog all in one place ☺ We are at what - Chapter 16? I thought the blog entries were just interspersed within the Chapters. I will have to take the time to go back and figure this out. Anyone want to point out which chapter contains the blog entry that says Eddie didn't show up?

This is interesting................... “Nothing, not really.” The detective backtracked quickly. He then looked at Bailey. “We have some questions to pursue, if you want to. For example, the last person to speak with him told me he went to Jake’s apartment, but according to the blog, he never showed.” “But, if he—“ Ballard interrupted her client, “What else?” ------------------------------------------------- This was Eddie? I wonder if the new body is Eddie? It's a pity we can't go back and read the blog.

After moving from the US to Canada it is unlikely the same number. The big three wireless providers are also different. When I read the "text you the details" thing I kind of figured it was an error and went back a few lines to see if I missed or misunderstood a trade of numbers. Then I just let it slide.
