Discovery - Chapter 1
Cole Matthews commented on Cole Matthews's story chapter in Discovery - Chapter 1
I'm thrilled you're on board! The connections between the characters are quite important. These keys will eventually unlock the mystery. Thanks for the lovely comments! -
Building a Case - Chapter 2 Twyla Sizemore picked up a jar of peanut butter, checked the ingredient list on the label, and placed it in her shopping cart without remembering what it said. Usually she loved grocery shopping. It was a chance to get away from the boys, let Steve spend some time with them, and think about the week ahead. She’d peruse the produce looking for deals and the freshest fruits and vegetables. Often this would be the theme of her meals. It used to be meat, then St

Freshman Year - Chapter 1
Cole Matthews commented on oat327's story chapter in Freshman Year - Chapter 1
The best rendition of a closeted gay virgin's first time I've read in quite a while. You capture the essential emotions perfectly. There is the fear of discovery, the excitement of the moment, the intense let down when anonymous coupling isn't all its cracked up to be, the loneliness of the isolation, and finally, the doubt it even happened. Without another person to share it with, the experience feels almost dreamlike or imagined. Yet, there is also a sense of regret and you do feel a bit dirty, or slimy, as you react negatively to the event. I remember my first time was also anonymous and closeted and the only thing I concretely remember is the faint smell of baby powder he wore. It's a distinctly powerful memory which is both wistful and a little embarrassing. Really well done!!! -
Discovery - Chapter 1

You wont need to read the other stories. Their relationship will develop in this novel. Rush and Ben were a thing and it fell apart. This is their reconnection. Well, is Eddie good? You will have to read. He truly loves Jake. I will admit that. Thanks so much! Cole -

Wild guesses are definitely allowed. Welcomed! Please keep observing the events because next up we will see a family seeking solace. We meet Twyla, Jakes sister and she’s got her own problems. Thanks for your insightful comments. 😊 -
Discovery - Chapter 1

You are so right. That’s the challenge with kids like Clay. Teens with issues and no place to go are screwed. In this story, a guy is compelled to help. That’s where it starts. I hope you enjoy the story and the challenges we face doing good things. Really interesting comments. Thank you! -
Discovery - Chapter 1
Cole Matthews commented on Cole Matthews's story chapter in Discovery - Chapter 1
Barbed Wire Heart had Rush meeting Ben. Ben and Rush brought Clay to Boy River and the discomfort was part of that story. It became more difficult with Morton’s Fork, when Rush made and kept his promise. The next step is a family coming together. Families have history and challenges. This is the start and Jake is part of it. Thanks for some wonderful questions! 😘 -
Discovery – Chapter 1 Ben Miller banged the side of the computer, not to get the Outlook program working, but to punish it for letting another one of his goddamned ex’s emails through. He’d blocked Romer’s various pleas for at least a month now. He’d even stopped the teenager’s as well. Didn’t matter. Romer somehow managed to cheat the blocking software and Clay was too much of a child of the Internet for Ben’s efforts to do much good. The teen, Clay, routinely sent emails that drove him bon

That's partly what I wanted to do. I wanted a victim who's an actual character with history, feelings, hopes and some bad habits. I hope you'll enjoy finding out what happened to him. Thanks for your comment. Let's figure this out! -

Jake's story is the real story, because his writing will be part of the investigation. Keep that in mind, his blog posts are an important piece of evidence. Thanks for commenting and being a part of this. I appreciate it. -

Yes it did. I'm so glad to see you're on board for this story. It's going to be fun. Thanks!! -
We will see! I'm a crafty one.

We'll see what killed him and what the situation is. At this point, the media is reporting it as an accident. I hate to say too much, but I hope you enjoy the ride! It will be bumpy and have interesting sights. That's all I'll say!
-
Well, you don't have to figure it out. i hope you just enjoy the ride. This will be more of a novel with a mystery inside than a whodunit. I hope to intrigue and entertain you. Thanks for reading and thanks for being you. I enjoy you very much.
-
I'm glad you're excited too. I hope to put many of the lessons I've learned over the past couple years about writing into this story. So far, it seems to be working really well. Thanks for being on board!

So do I. I'm having a blast with this story. The concept is something I thought up when I was in my twenties and now the story seems to have come to fruition. I hope you love it!! Thanks so much.

Thanks for the thoughtful review. You had be chuckling with the 'pondered the concept of justice' comment. There is probably no way to achieve perfect justice, because once something is lost or taken, it can't be restored again without injury. Such is the case in this story. I'm hoping Jake's family's tribulations serve as an example of trying to find peace, because I think that's a key part of the equation.
