    Chapter 4

    Lovely.

    Chapter 3

This story is beginning to sound vaguely familiar. I think I must have read it before but I don't see any comments made by me. Odd. Because I usually comment and would definitely have done so with a story like this. Josh is confusing. He really likes Scott but seems he's holding back, and yet he kisses him now. It's strange. Bound to be confusing to Scott. Seems Scott is great at picking guys who are drama potential, as I see Luc being big time, if what Josh is saying is the truth, and we have no reason to doubt it at the moment.

    Chapter 2

Loving the story and how you are revealing the characters little bit by little bit, though I'm very surprised at Josh. Truly, is he true to his word and keeps to himself even though he's spooning Scott with a hard-on? OMG, that is just too much to bear or perhaps here we should say bare. Have to read on to find out. But if he's square about never having invited anyone to his place in 2 years then he obviously is pretty keen on Scott and Scott's impressions of him are wrong too. So magic is about to happen?

    Chapter 1

I like. Well written and so touchingly told. Thanks for a great start. Looking forward to more.
  5. A delightful gem which has a glow of sweetness and tenderness. Thank you.
  6. So glad you sorted it all out!

    FR Chapter 2

Great to see folk commenting. I appreciate your interest as much as Boomerang does and encourage readers to comment frequently. It helps author and editor to know how things are being received. Great start, Boomerang! Well done! Proud to be of assistance to you.
  8. Crazy mixed-up, ambition driven, juggler of people and their emotions, Corbs! What a mess! What a glorious f-d-up mess! But I still love you! Damn! I think that must be how poor Nick must be feeling, though he must be thinking that Corbs will never come back to him and that he's lost him forever, sadly. I really appreciate how Corbs has let him go before he really, really gets too involved and breaks his heart beyond mending. That is tremendously big of him. I wonder if he's regretting it now that the Brit has pissed him off so thoroughly. I guess not, since he still thinks somehow, somewhere, sometime he and the Brit will be together. Isn't this just so like life: A loves B but B can't love A because B loves C! You've done it yet again, Mr Wolf! Taken us on the highs and the lows of the roller-coaster ride of Corbin's love life, frat life, manipulations and machinations, and still left us with no clear answers or directions in anything. Still this wild hope of coming together with the Brit (love is such a terrible prison warden!), perhaps a nice distraction with David M, and still waiting for the man in uniform to reappear and sweep Corbs off his feet. But I can't let it go anymore than Corbs in the recesses of his deepest heart's feelings can let the blasted Brit go. Roll on more Mr Brilliant Author. I love it!

    The Line

This was stuff to keep one on edge through most of the chapter, but also solicited much laughter from me too. Corbs calling himself the bitch that was out for blood. It was so funny, even though true. It was good to see how much he kept himself in control, just as he had advised Lee, and did not give in to his desire with David because he remembered he had a boyfriend. Well done, Corbs, on that. His manipulation of Dom and the final straw of commanding his vote was amazing and hilarious. I loved that he told Dom he was the groundskeeper but Corbs owned the building. Again, heads up, Corbs! And he is planning to make David into another Corbs, only David will probably be less manipulative but no less powerful. Looks like Corbs is back where he wanted to be all along and he has Dom by the balls. I can see this would all be great only there are too many loose pieces still. How is Mike coming back and how is that going to mess things up for the boyfriend? And is he really over Pete? Wish he were, but I think Pete could come back and totally screw him up so very easily. So stil a rocky, drama-filled ride ahead for Corbs. I would be exhausted trying to juggle all the balls he holds. Lol!

    The Bitch Is Back

Well, I have to say I was out of it and not reading so didn't miss you really, sorry to say! But so glad to be back myself now and find several chapters to enjoy. Lol! You never disappoint! Love following Corbs twisted tale though I must say I don't enjoy his manipulations. Heaven help anyone who falls prey to him for power or for sex. However, love will win him over. I'm confident there, as that's the whole reason he really cannot resist Pete. Corbin being Corbin would not hang around and wait for Pete to grow up if he did not love him. Even Corbs is rendered somewhat pathetic by love. It's tragic really, though it could be amusing too. I'm just so sorry for Nick who is falling far too quickly and deeply. He's such a treasure - I think I said that before! Hate to see him hurt. He is a big boy, but he's in love and love does make idiots of us all. Lol! He does read Corbin pretty well though, so he might survive him better than we think.

    Trial Run

Well, I'm so glad the story is still going on though at widely spaced intervals. This chapter is a little more predictable in a sense. Not too much drama, though laying the foundation for lots to come with the frat house, with Lee, with Pete (always will be with Pete!), with Mike (when he reappears) and with Nick (Mr Nice Guy!) Corbin is so very lucky to have Nick, but he's not in love with Nick so Nick won't last as the boyfriend, even though for now Corbin has chosen him over Pete. Wow! I think that must have been very, very hard for Corbin to do that, though I appreciate that Pete is still such an unknown, uncommitted, doesn't really know who he is himself and what he wants. Pete wants Corbin maybe. That's not good enough for Corbs, and he's right. It's not good enough. Pete has let him down too far, too much, too often. Pete doesn't deserve him any more. Nick does. He's a treasure. But you can't make yourself fall in love. Poor Corbin. I'm scared for Nick. I hope he appreciates that he might get badly burnt in this, though Corbin has been quite truthful with him and not led him on false pretenses. On to the next chapter! Lol!

    Easy Street

I must have read this chapter before, probably back in April, as I definitely pushed the "Like" button on it, but I never reviewed, and I'm not sure why. So here it is now July and I'm back catching up some chapters I've missed. This was one helluva chapter to get back into the story as it must be one of the most Corbin doing his manipulative best accounts. He is a prime candidate for politics, heaven help us all. If I didn't like him - and that's all your fault, Mr Wolf, for using your skill so well - I would hate him as much as, I'm sure, Dom does. There are no half measures with Corbin, and here he's into this amazing game of manipulating everyone - except his English man - to get what he wants. I wonder sometimes if the English man's hold on him is the fact that he can't manipulate him, but then that's not entirely true. Corbin has lost his heart to the man across the pond. That defies logic and is uncontrollable, and Corbin is lost when he can't control the game. And now what is this message from the Englishman? Has he realized that he does actually love Corbin? He seems too ingenuous to be playing a manipulative game. That's the attraction, that he is not a political creature like Corbin. This is such an amazing story and you write it so well. Glad to be picking it up again, for a while at least. Yeah! 4 great chapters to look forward to without waiting! To enjoy when I can and want. Thank you! This is a treat indeed!
  13. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I had almost forgotten these efforts and it was fun to read them again and especially all the encouraging reviews. So thanks, Arazon, for lighting that spark again.

    Haiku Happenings

Right on the button with the sound. Yeah I love the haiku discipline and the neatness of the few lines expressing a thought or two.

    Doing the Tanka

Hey, thanks for reviewing. Glad you enjoyed.
  16. Great end to a great story. Thanks, Gary! You are an inspiration!
  17. It's all so good. Love the house renovations. What a blast! What a joy to work together! What a great first job for them! And what a wonder to find Carly so amenable. Wow! Couldn't be better, except it is with even Marian's life on the up. I really think you love writing happy families. I must say I love reading them too. Great job!
  18. Wow! Loved the way you handled that upset of Craig. It got to me the moment Jared mentioned his antics so I knew it was a bad thing. Good that it all comes out now and is resolved quickly. No major waves really! So it's pretty smooth sailing in my book. Thanks for this great story. I'm really enjoying it.
  19. Damn, that was so hot! And so satisfying in the love and the passion and the tenderness. Great job! Well done, Gary! Love too that they'll be working together some which might turn into a shared business in the end. What is Craig's line of work anyway? Carly was easily dealt with it seems. She really was standing alone so didn't have a lot of room to move, though she tried. Hopefully, as Marian has said, she'll get laid and it will take a whole heap of frustration out of her.
  20. River of Dreams - wow! That's good! So expressive of a long future of happy times rolling into one another. I love it! And Craig's re-planning of the house. He sure has a talent for this. They are moving fast, but sensibly to make up for time lost. Beautiful! Together they can face Carly too. Just hope she has run out of schemes to trip them up and will move on with her own life in some way that will leave them to go on with theirs.
  21. Every time I read "testing" I wanted to change it to "tasting", lol! What a satisfying start to their time together, and rather inevitable that it was going to happen sooner rather than later. The surprise was Jared's first time. Again it just points to what a beautiful person he is and that he is made for Craig, kept for Craig, and given to Craig. So romantic! Thanks, Gary! I doubt if Craig has had any experience beyond one man too, though this wasn't brought out. There is somehow such a purity in this relationship, that contrasts so strongly with the ugliness and dirtiness that Carly has brought to them both by her extreme and perverse manipulations. And the purity was made more so by the fact neither of them was in any way reminded of her in the least as they explored and enjoyed each other. Great chapter again. Just right! Oh, better explain that as it means something different in America. It means absolutely, in every way, perfectly right in my culture. Lol!
  22. Well, there we go: you touched me there and the tears came. Funnily enough it was in the kitchen discussing Craig's renovation plan. Lol! I guess I'm a sucker for houses and Craig's ideas just represented the ideal of the happy home woven in with the old and the memories. It was beautiful! And I know that came out of your heart too because I know you love the house thing too. So we touched bottom! Lol! Love all the play on that too. Oops! More doubles! Ah, well! Just have to follow the master writer on this, don't we! Just love it. God, you so romantic! And Jared is a changed man in so short a time, but who wouldn't be when your dream man makes it all happen? Love too that he is just so into the dad thing that it makes no difference in his relationship with Bails. Wow! What a guy! Craig has found his treasure, restored, shining, immeasurably precious and untainted in spite of all the mess and junk he's been put through. And Marian is rooting for them too. How precious that she made that meal in anticipation. What a mom! I see her sitting in this kitchen, maybe using it too, one day and being a part of the family and loving it all. What a homely vision. Your story rocks, Gary! Thank you, thank you, thank you! You do my heart such good!
  23. Wow! White Water Rafting! I had not seen this chapter title when I made the comment about the "raft of their love" but I was just picking up on your magical titles and following the theme. Happened quite by accident to hit the nail pretty squarely on the head. Glad I didn't hit my thumb! Great chapter again as all Carly's scheming shenanigans are unraveled by Craig. So it's an extreme jealousy-sibling rivalry-control thing all rolled up into a mess of who Carly is. She surely is a work! Is she redeemable? Seems that might not be possible with her. Some people are like that and remain locked up in their petty scheming bitchy ways and unable to get free. It scares me a little how poor little Bailey is an innocent pawn and victim in all of this. Craig appreciates Jared's feelings for her and senses those are too deep-rooted to cut, which may be the saving grace in all this. I was afraid how Carly might sense this too and do something wicked to Bailey in order to get back at Jared, but I'm hoping she loves Bailey too much to do that. Craig is applying some of Carly's own medicine to bring her into line, and maybe that's the only thing she will ever understand, but it really is a bummer when people have to use manipulation to control each other's lives. In the end that kills all chances of reconciliation, forgiveness, love to come; except I'm a great believer that the miracle of love can bring redemption in even the hardest and bleakest of soils. I can't wait to see how the story unfolds. Well done, Gary, for a very intriguing story. It is indeed turbulent water that is being negotiated. Just hope this raft doesn't capsize, but I'm trusting you have it reach calmer waters.
  24. Very intense talk, but so revealing and encouraging in the end. I love how you build so much detail into the story and make it so convincingly real. It's that detail that helps so much for one to see how Jared got into this situation with Carley and how Craig was also side-swiped in the process. This was all about Carley winning the man and taking him from her brother as well as showing up those other bitches too that she had something they didn't. Wow! She's a monster, but a convincing one too. Tsunami all right! But actually this wave is going to do some cleansing good I think and sweep some garbage away. After the destruction there'll be some room for new growth, new life and better things. I love both Jared and Craig and it's so good to see how they actually support each other. When Craig was in a bad way Jared was there for him, and now Craig is there to rescue Jared. Way to go! I think they just latched on to the raft of their love and that is going to be what sees them through this turbulence. Thanks, Gary, for such a great story. You sure don't disappoint!
  25. I had just skipped the reviewing and decided to read on. You know me, I like to read the whole story rather than installments, and reviews rather interrupt that process of a good solid read. However, after reading your reply to Ch.1 review, I could not ignore. I love that you respond to every review and takes seriously every persons comments because they took the time to make a comment on your precious work. That's pretty special, and it's so important to your readership too. It made me feel too guilty to just read on and only comment at the end, and, anyway, I wanted to say this little piece too. The way you interact with your readers is pretty special. It's almost like you make each of them a special friend - that's what it feels like. So if you make me feel special in the way you respond to my comments, I want to return that favour for sure. Hope this is not too much for a review comment. Lol! But I just felt I had to say that. This story puts me in mind of the famous Bible twins, Jacob and Esau, who were so very different and so conflicted in all they did and were. You so good at drawing these rather feisty characters. I want to really side with Craig and put Carly in her box good and proper, for what good it will do. I like that Mom sees through her too and is not fooled by her, though somehow it seems a shame she did not understand just how devious Carly had been. Anyway, enough for now. Don't want to spoil story for later readers. Great stuff, Gary! I really like your stories. They get to me! Thanks for yet another good one. I'm writing this at 1:45 am my time! Woke up and couldn't go to sleep again so what better than to get comfy with a good story. Thank you again!
