Great beginning, Mark! I like how you used this first chapter to wrap up some loose ends from the previous book. Lots to look forward to.

It's great to have Granger back. I can't help but feel sorry for Caroline. Not only has she lost power and social status, but she's less attractive than we (and Granger) had been led to believe. I'm hoping they'll at least get to a point where they can be friends.

It was the previous cook who was connected with Curtis Buck.

Whatever else comes out of this mess, Travis and Jake are going to be really tight. And that's a good thing after the shit Curtis put them both through.

I love how you incorporated the photo of Thomas (Dad!) Buck to cement the resemblance between him, Travis and Jake. Also, Jake's and Travis's continuing to bond as brothers is adorable. It was inevitable that Curtis would die (this is CAP after all). The list of potential suspects is long and worrisome. Thanks, Mark! Awesome as always.

I'm really enjoying Travis's and Big's changing relationship dynamic. I hope they manage to continue it so Travis has a core family (Big and Jake) he can count on, in addition to Will and his family. The business venture sounds promising as well. Congrats on the 100th chapter. And thank you.

Maybe we can make an exception for a hot Frenchman who only features once every couple of decades. 😄 Besides, he's kind of a villain so facial hair is traditional.

Posting in airport en route to France. I loved Thomas Buck's letter! Not only did he call himself on his own bullshit but he left a trust for Jake and encouraged Travis to establish a relationship with him (already done!). Looking forward to Brad's plans for Curtis when they happen. Thanks, Mark!

@methodwriter85 I checked and you were right: there were mutual hand jobs in chapter 53. I thought the whole family knew about Will and John, though, with all their drama around Zach. Poor JJ. He was such a social misfit. 🙂

Eh, those Italian guys are easy to mix up. Haha. I think the guy's name was Luka but I'm not sure. He was a waiter at the Italian restaurant and also something else, maybe an actor. I have never heard the term Eskimo brothers. I had to look it up. I don't remember JJ hooking up with John Hobart but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. They did both sleep with Carullo and, yes, Will did sleep with Alex once. It was sometime during the drama of Black Widow, maybe after he found out his mother was alive. He was emotionally distraught and desperate, and Will was the only person available to fuck him because everyone else was far more inappropriate. You're still waiting for Mark to write in a hookup with Allistair. 🙂 He's been absent from the story for a while but that doesn't mean Mark couldn't bring him back. I think he and JJ might be too much alike, though. I could see him with Will. I also wonder if he'd make a good bf for Travis if Will and Travis ever break up. Editing to add: The fact that Patrick turned JJ down was probably good evidence he wasn't just into teenage guys when that became an issue.

And he did set Travis up to be financially independent of Curtis and his shenanigans. It must have been tough for him having two sons as different as Curtis and Travis and not being able to claim the good one. Dammit, Mark, I can't believe you just made me feel sympathetic towards Grandpa Buck.

You get the kudos for guessing it first. Congrats! Poor Travis. Grandpa Buck was the one person in his family he thought he could count on.

He's the guy with the fake Rolex that Will met when he went to the bar with Chris Mendoza (GY ch. 24). Although this is how Mark described him: "This guy was blond and had nice blue eyes, looking like a stereotypical German." Edit: So who was the guy Tony was hooking up with who hit on JJ? I have no memory of that one.

I picture Wade with straight, light brown hair. No idea if that's how Mark described him.
