Well, that's part of the mystery solved. And now we know what Will was doing between breakfast with Zach and picking up Darius before the flight to NYC. Groveling is a good look for Zach. It seems he has finally realized that he needs Will more than Will needs him. Thanks, Mark! Great chapter.

Wow, that was more drama than a Sunday dinner at Escorial (which obviously doesn't exist yet). And Granger is twice as wealthy as he was before. I'm sad we didn't meet Lady Kendal when she was still alive. She sounds quite the character. I expect things will also be interesting when Catherine Lindsay turns up. We don't know how old she is but, if she's old enough (and gets an education), maybe a love interest for Daventry? Although I'm still wondering if he might not decide to rescue Brookstone's sister by marrying her. Thanks, Mark, awesome chapter!

I think we just got a glimpse of a future in which Will completely shakes up the Schluter financial empire. Awesome chapter, Mark. Thanks!

It seems Granger has another close friendship in the making while Caroline may be losing her lover. Stewart sounds sufficiently embarrassed that he may not want to continue his association with Caroline, especially with her reduced social status. Lady Kendal's will remains unread and will no doubt prove interesting when you get the chance to enlighten us about its contents. Thanks for another wonderful chapter, Mark. I hope your work responsibilities ease up soon. You've spoiled us with the regular postings and it's going to be tough to have to do without them.

George has quite a challenge ahead of him, separating his interests from Caroline's and keeping his estates and other financial concerns operational should be return to sea. I love that he has so much trust in Daventry (my absolute favorite character after Granger). Scruggs also seems delightful. Granger has a new protege to dress and introduce into society. I wonder if he plays an instrument. Haha. Thanks, Mark. Stellar work, as always.

I'm glad Travis is building himself a support network. In addition to Will, he now has Sierra and Crawford as friends he can trust. He's going to need them when Will eventually figures out how to take down Curtis Buck! Anticipating lots more drama before the gang makes it to Maui! Thanks, Mark! Great chapter!

Wow, when Granger decides to act, he doesn't kid around. As @pickuptoynoted, Caroline is going to be livid. Her message to Granger indicates her complacency and confidence that she has the upper hand. It's going to be a rude awakening when she finds herself formally separated from Granger and banished from London society. Not only that, but Granger has undermined her efforts to secure Alexander's peerage and strengthened his own power base in the process. I can't wait to learn how she reacts. Sparks will no doubt fly (and not the fun sexy kind). Thanks, Mark! This was an exceptionally good chapter. Looking forward to the next installment.

This is book 17 in the CAP series. The first one centers around JP (Grand). Later books follow other characters. They're best read in chronological order. The full list in order is here:

Mark, I'm really glad you didn't kill off the pilots. They should get hazard pay as CAP characters. I'm enjoying how much improved Will's relationship with Brad is. They've come a long way from the antagonism of a couple of years ago. He also has a really awesome friendship with Jake. Thanks for another great chapter! The foundation board meeting promises to be really interesting, although not the showdown over Bongo's report that we were anticipating.

Loved this chapter! Granger has a tough path ahead of him extricating his affairs from Caroline's influence. He took some crucial first steps in this chapter but Caroline is not going to take a banishment lying down. No doubt there are fireworks ahead. Thank you, Mark. Today was a very difficult day which you managed to brighten a little.

I enjoyed this chapter. It was interesting seeing the various family members' reactions to Will's recounting the events of the past few days. Shocker about Jack and Clare! As irritating as they've been lately, it's really sad that they're splitting up. Thanks, Mark! Looking forward to the no doubt eventful next few days.

Drama does seem to follow Granger wherever he goes. Granger's plan for a quick escape from the Lords got derailed but at least he wasn't bored. Haha. The subsequent encounters with St. Vincent and Eldon were also very interesting. No doubt the follow ups (St. Vincent's correspondence and Eldon's inevitable request for a favor) will be, too. Thanks, Mark! Can't wait for more.

Well, that was dramatic. There's really nothing quite like a Sunday dinner confrontation at Escorial. This one had so many layers: Frank's antagonism about Zach, the phone data controversy (which Will navigated masterfully), and Will's realization about Darius's close call with Curtis Buck's plane. Basically, a very satisfying three-course meal. The next few days will no doubt prove equally exciting. Can't wait for the next installment! Thanks, Mark! This book just keeps getting better and better.

Ha same! I don't think even a private jet would induce me to have kids.

It's all fun and games until somebody's plane gets blown up. Wow, Mark, you really know how to ratchet up the drama. I'm not convinced Curtis Buck is behind this but it is suspicious that he was so incensed about Travis's being a few minutes late for the flight. I don't think Zach would go so far as to blow up a plane. Also anyone aiming to blow up Curtis would have to be really dumb not to check if he was even in NYC. If it was Curtis, I'm wondering if he somehow had Will and Travis observed in NY. Or maybe he got a tape of Travis's performance (despite Will's efforts). This scene also reinforced what a really great brother/friend Darius is. I'm glad he didn't get blown up. The earlier scenes were hilarious and super sweet. I love that Patrick won a fashion contest he didn't even know he was competing in. His reputation for creativity just got a big boost thanks to Will. Next time Will decides to take psychedelics at MOMA, he'd be better off sticking to the room of Mondrians. Haha. Looking forward to more excitement at dinner at Escorial and the board meeting. Plus Will's inevitable return to LA. Thanks, Mark. One of your best chapters yet!

So glad Travis took the initiative to contact with JJ (I'm guessing he had to go through Darius first) and came out to NY. He and Will are adorable together (although I am not in the camp that insists Will needs a soulmate before he even gets to college). Still laughing at how JJ and Zanie had to work at getting the outfit slightly less perfect then Will had to get emergency help from Patrick to make it less dorky. Thanks for a delightful chapter. Can't wait for the next one!

JJ seems doomed to be perpetually part of a contentious love triangle. Personally, I'm rooting for Carullo. But I'm pretty sure Zanie will make sure she gets what she wants, regardless of the consequences. I agree with @centexhairysub: this contest between JJ and Bellona doesn't bode well. THanks, Mark, for another awesome chapter.

We're definitely on the threshold of a lot of drama. No doubt Lady Kendal's will will prove interesting, as will Caroline's return. Somehow I am a tad skeptical that the Stroganov family recipe will remain a secret for very long. I'm still laughing at the group's assessment of Castlereagh's handsomeness. Happy New Year, Mark! Thanks for the lovely gift.

I agree with @Daddydavek. Zach is definitely manipulating Travis somehow and Will is starting to figure out out. I wouldn't want to be in Zach's shoes when he does. I think JJ and Zanie are influencers before influencers were a thing. Thank you for the unexpected gift, Mark. Happy Christmas!

I agree with what others have already said: Zach has somehow blackmailed Travis into choosing him over Will. I just hope Will realizes it before he takes his hurt and frustration out on Travis. Zach deserves whatever's coming to him. Thanks for another great chapter, Mark! It's going to be tough waiting for the next one. You've spoiled us with the regular postings over the past few months. Happy holidays, all!

Mark, I just noticed the note about your posting schedule. I definitely understand being busy with competing demands. I'm actually astonished that you find time to write at all with a full-time teaching job to attend to, but I'm very glad you do. Not sure if the January date is only for this book; I'm hoping you manage to squeeze in some TGY before then. If not, have a wonderful holiday season and a happy and healthy New Year! Looking forward to seeing more of George's adventures (and Daventry!) in 2023.

So happy George and company made it home safely! I expect he has an interesting night ahead of him, not to mention the likely drama of future events at London and Heathford. Also, Daventry's meeting little Lord Astley was adorable. Thanks, Mark. Awesome chapter!

Will got a lot of good advice in this chapter. Hopefully he decides to follow it It amused me that Will has started Travis on the path to sluttiness. Also glad Travis is starting to counter some of Curtis Buck's influence by getting rid of Craddock and solidifying a friendship with Sierra. Thanks, Mark! Looking forward to the next installment.

It's hilarious that Will is able to hack Brad's security so easily. I'm sure Brad would be livid if he knew. Fun chapter, Mark. Thanks!
