  1. My little brother [13 years younger] toyed with the idea of Langley while at Yale. He even gave up pot for a while because of a 2-year drug free requirement. He ditched the CIA track, married up, and he's now a millionaire. I think his wife and kids are happy with his decision. Spoiled rotten nephews. 😆
  2. I was traumatized by 9/11.
  3. Everyone liked Defiant for being an easy ride. LOL
  4. LOL - Figured that out. I was wondering if you meant Spike and CJ marrying and working together. I thought you were part of Team Owen!

Did someone report Gus as a possible undocumented foreigner? These days damn snitches are a dime a dozen, picking on people for how they look, what the say, and what they do. Idiots should all be staked to a red-ant hill. It's amazing how you managed to make an interminable, annoying ER visit interesting. The flirting did it.

    Chapter 38

Perfect stopping point! Not sure I could have handled more tension.

@BlueWindBoy The laughter's for the taco trucks line. I wouldn't mind more of them either. That line was so good, I actually recycle it a couple of times in future stories. There's so much I could say in reply to your other comments, but once again it would mean spoilers galore. You'll find out where you got it right soon enough. As the circle of friends expanded, I was forced to limit their own stories, in favor of CJ and Owen. Some of that I've remedied by writing a few spinoffs. Those give me a chance to expand each character's individualities, and set them up for life as adults.
  8. LMAO - Agency husbands? I didn't know about all the buildings being pre-CE. I was in Jerusalem a long time ago, during the 3000 anniversary of its founding, and was able to explore excavations where the temple once stood. That was interesting. Old Jerusalem also had a lot of newer town homes built where older structures were abandoned by fleeing Palestinians post 6-day-war. I'm sure all that limestone's aged and the newer stuff blends in better than when I was there.

Excellent beginning to what I promise is a great story! For the record, while taking to Wolf when he was in Australia, I mentioned it would be a great setting for one of his stories. Or something like that. I'm old and the memory falters at times. Over the past year, he got stuck a couple of times, and I made suggestions based on how I deal with the same issue in my work. Otherwise, this is all him. Make sure you react to the chapters, and if you have a moment, leave a comment. (nice rhyme, Hazday) Feedback from readers is the only payment most of us receive. And if you have complaints, voice them. Wolf's skin is thick, he can handle it. Enjoy
  10. Sorry, but there might be a couple more in future chapters. Let's remember our protagonist's straight! As for CJ's sexual escapades, there were a hell of a lot more, often very detailed. However, the pace of CJ's stories is significantly slower, so the sexual encounters were spread over more chapters. Whereas to date I've posted 170 chapters with CJ as the main character, Ritch will star in 23.
  11. Colt and Tony's stories started as micro fiction. PRIME and WOOF were expansions of those initial efforts. The third one, will be when they meet. I posted a version of it years ago, but it needs major revisions. Hopefully I can work on it this summer. Until then, I have 3 others in the works that will eat up most of my writing time. Thanks for reading and the feedback!

I learned something new!!!! Let me see if I can sneak that into the story set in Colorado Springs.

I had entirely forgotten about that comment response. I think time with any of the boys may cost a tad more than 19.95. It's probably described in the even-smaller print.
  14. I'm too set in my ways, and comfortable with what I'm accustomed to. Docs' okay but frustrating at times.
  15. Thanks, Kev. Awesome to hear you like it. Try this one, it's the second in the series. Sooner or later, we'll have the two of them come together.
  16. I'm sticking with Office 2013 for as long as I can. It serves my purposes well.
  17. I wish I had been half as adventurous and lucky as these kids.
  18. Quickbooks revolutionized bookkeeping. We used a program called Peachtree in my office for a while, but QB was simpler and more maneuverable, so we switched.
  19. Either that or get him laid!
  20. All those companies want you to upgrade yearly so they can get our money. I think both Quicken and Quickbooks are now annual subscriptions. And Microsoft's been pushing their web based Office 265 (I think that's the name.)
  21. I started with Supercalc back in the early 80s. Even wrote a couple of applications using macros my employer used as a basis for more complex ones. Calculation loan loss reserves and deductions for banks was way complicated. These days, simplicity wins out.
  22. I'd go into a long explanation but it would include a dozen spoilers. BTW Thought I should remind you this is fiction. CJ"s college experience will be unique. I've take lots of liberties.
  23. Chipper's part was music from the beginning. Honestly, never thought of him. Then again, I'm not sure everyone knows he goes both ways. Good analysis again. About 100 chapters later, in a spinoff, we find out how the place came about. In that same story I have characters use Vail as home base and ski other mountains.
  24. Loved your analysis. You forgot CJ loves traveling. The McCourt school was established in 2013, and I considered it. He'll meet a guy on move in day who becomes a friend, Carson, and he'll be at McCourt.
  25. I still use paper instead of my phone to jot things down. Old habits. As for the cast, thank you Bill Gates for Excel. I have one file, with about a dozen different sheets, for the CJ series. One of the sheets lists every character. Title First name Middle Last Nickname Initial appearance book and chapter Minimal basic information - this depends on what I've mentioned in the story. May be nationality, college or university, place of birth All those columns help me keep track of people.
